I just bought one of these in really nice condition, but tell me: Aren't the power, soft keys to left of screen, and numeric keypad supposed to have red lighting?

RIT ON all time shifting rx 90 Hz...now perhaps I understand why often hams are out frequency with each other, they have RIT and don’t even realize. Sorry dude nothing against you, just an observation. Oh and why using preamp2 on 80 meter band? And then I see you have to put 30db!! attenuation on the scope to have a nice view. If you disable preamps on noisy lower bands actually the performance of the receiver can only be better, don’t be afraid, you’re not gonna loose any signal, still plenty of sensitivity compared to the noise floor. The rule of thumb is: when you connect the Antenna at the back as long as the noise rise in the speaker you have enough sensitivity.
