Yamaha XT660Z on a Long Trip to Magadan!

Will it survive the journey?
The plan is to ride from my hometown Varna, Bulgaria all the way to Magadan, the eastern point of Russia, and of course come back home safe in one piece. For that purpose, I need to prepare the bike, but how exactly I plan to do it?
Well, the idea is very simple - to rebuild or improve the existing components without the need to spend thousands of dollars on expensive and in my opinion overestimated adventure gear! Is that even possible? I believe that yes, and I plan to show you everything in practice.
Let me start with the introduction of my motorcycle. It is a Yamaha XT660Z, 2008. Single-cylinder, water-cooled, very old engine. Will it survive the journey that in my calculation is about 30,000kms?
This is a good question, and I don't really have the answer right now but as usual, I will be an optimist and I will hope for the best!
Let me explain to you! Simple bike, minimum luggage, strict preparation before the trip, and maximum efficiency during the trip. In other words, everything that I don't need will stay at home and the rest will work on full power. I hope that you get it now.
There will be no place for something that I might need or good to have. I will bet only on what I use for many years and I am 100% sure that it will do the job. More about the gear and the spare parts that I plan to take I will talk in the next episodes but for now, I can tell you what the basic idea is.
The same bike, the same soft bag that I use in the last few years. A tank bag with my camera gear and that's it. Of course, I plan to film everything but no fancy things like drones, or expensive equipment. I am sorry for the disappointment but in the end, I am just a rider, not a video producer.
I want to confirm that with a minimum budget you can have the maximum pleasure from almost any trip. Also, the idea will be to provide valuable information for those who will decide to go there after me.
I accept this as a big challenge, and I cannot wait to start it! That's why I started the preparations so early even that the trip will be done in June July and Aug next year.
