Best thing is to talk to someone who is(or has been) an international student in Canada. Majority of the students from India have gone there after graduation. Canada is a very Liberal society, where even hashish is legal.Liqour is available in the campuses. Public transport is inadequate in many places. You need a car. Owning a car is very affordable when compared to India. But meeting the repayment obligations/ subscription charges and insurance payments will take away a substantial chunk of your income. Funds may have to be pumped from India. Indian food in hotels is expensive. Learning to cook is a good idea. And the weather !. At the moment, 14 out of the coldest places in the earth are in Canada.Is it worth going through all this trouble to obtain Canada P R / citizenship ? The answer surprisingly is : YES.

Please don't listen to youtubers and force your kids into a foreign land if they do not wish to go there. It's all worth it if the kid actually wants to go overseas and study. Cost of education, loans, weather, and having a job while studying MUST be considered. It's not all glitter and glam if your kid doesn't have the will to put in hard work. You may have to do jobs that you wouldn't even think of in India like cleaning toilets or driving trucks

Bro agree and I understand in the context of India some jobs are looked down but unlike India you will get paid a decent amount for every job you do. Just try to clean toilets or drive a truck in India and you will understand. Even Canadian prime minister must have waited tables / cleaned toilets when he was a student. This country and countrymen respects everyone regardless of their job. But they hate people who just don’t want to work and get unemployment benefits. I have worked as a Care aid picked up garbage(in private nursing homes)and cleaned toilets occasionally, also worked as a part time food delivery guy and then I got my license and I am a Nurse now.I know this for a fact that everyone treats you respectfully. How rich or poor a person in this country their kids go to part time job when they hits 14-15 years and what job do you think they are doing? It’s definitely not a white collar job.

Things are not easy for the international student in Canada. Part time work is difficult to come by and it interferes with the assinments/ projects etc. Don't count on repaying the 15 year education loan in 3 years. Most students end up doing survival jobs at minimum wages after completion of studies. Taxes are high. The winters are harsh in most places. It helps to avoid the winter when you land in Canada for the first time. It helps if you know a couple of persons in the city where you are going for studies.
If you are prepared for the initial period of struggle, Canada offers a high quality of life. Racial discrimination is much less when compared to US and Australia.
Canada is a land for hardworking focused people...don't expect a Kerala college life in Canada..there are lot of struggles..but if u made your mind u will succeed

I am a doctor migrated to Canada from England after my consultant training. Many doctors after their graduation from Asian countries who move to Canada are forced to do low paid clerical or non nedical jobs till they get into the healthcare system ( which is tough too). Please bear in mind that most jobs are low paid essential service jobs. However, you can make it big with very hard work.
Best part is easy hastle free life and nice friendly people. Lot better than India/Kerala. Weather in many parts is freezing cold in most parts.
Official paper work is slow and regimental.

My personal opinion as a immigrant in canada more than 5 years, i will never recommend to send a student after 12th because its not easy as they say . These children are just 17 or 18 years old and are not matured enough to suffer the stress . I see many students struggling here to make up their studies and at the same time to make money for their tuition fee and living expenses. Rather i would suggest to complete their degree and enjoy the exposure of college life back home and then come . Its not easy as these agencies says , there are lot more expenses . Part time jobs are not easy we need to work really really hard to earn as everyone does here, Unless if the family is rich enough to make up their tution fee.So pls pls do your research . Ask someone who has experience not the agencies.
For PR you need meet certain points which will be changing time to time and students after 12th find it difficult to meet the points as they don't have a degree .

There is a requirement of points to get PR in Canada. If you are coming after grade 12 make sure you get enough points to get PR. If you are coming to Ontario, and you are unable to gather enough points, you maybe able to move to other provinces to earn enough points required for that province. Currently Ontario requires one year experience in a B level job and the points required for eligibility to apply for PR. The points varies as per the number of immigrants Canada wants to add each time. I have this information since I live in Canada for last 11 years. Buying a house here near or in Toronto is really expensive. Someone comes after degree can earn more points for PR.

Its ideal to complete a degree program in India before moving to Canada. Students who come to Canada without any other education background will find it difficult to survive eventually. Housing prices are going up crazy and it won't be affordable for many who are moving to Canada without any assets on hand. There are many other expenses when you live in this country. Most of the students who move to Canada right after Plus Two find it difficult to get a job that pays good wage. They may survive while they live as a single person. Once you have family and kids, these kind of basic jobs will not meet the ends. It takes a lot of efforts and time to get a Degree course from Canada while you are working at the same time. On the other hand if you have a degree, you can work on getting a master's related education. This will land you in a job that pays you well eventually.

Also please do the numbers before believing what he is saying, he said the min wage in Canada is $12 per hour, but if you lucky enough and get $20 per hour you can get only $800 in a week. Normal working hours are 40 in a week, not more than that. In one month $3200, tax is 25% of what you earning. So 3200-(25%)3200 =$2400 in one month after tax, approximately 150000 inr. Minus the living expense then you get your savings. No doubt its a great country to live and enjoy life, but you won't be able to save much.
