This is a nice modell and i started building it at the moment... Now this is the 5.Time i'm building that ship...and i don't think this will be the last time..I was thinking about the 1:200 Trumpeter too🤔...i did a break for 39 years and now im amazed by the fact how much happened in the world of modells...Im also a bluesmusician and it is perfect to do that beside music... Creativity is the alpha and omega....Once you found your passion for it,it stays with you... Nice unboxing video...👍
pulled out my 1/350 minicraft titanic from my loft after nearly 20 years, a right old pig of kit, but was the only game in town for a big T kit until trumpeter 'trumped' it....
@@WhatALoadOfTosca You've likely discovered by now there are several modeling tool kits available with decent basic tools--the more you pay the more you get.
Almost identical to the Academy kit right down to the bright orange funnels or stacks (it’s a ship, they’re not chimneys🤬), cannot work out where this idea the funnels were orange has come from. White star line ships funnels were a buff colour. The fencing provided (at this scale) looks like log fencing, the PE fencing, steps, ladders, Davits etc makes for a much better looking model, yes, I know it’s fiddly to work with and expensive but worth it.
I've been away from modeling a long time and bought this kit mostly for practice to get back into it. First thing I did was throw away the included paint. I was figuring on doing the build with just what was included, but depending on how it goes may very well spring for some of the available replacement parts. I doubt I'll use the included rigging, either
Marine D》 If you buy the Airfix(1:400) Titanic you can't go wrong. But the ship inside the airfixbox is a re -boxing from another firm. The Arcademy is a bit longer (think 71 mm while the Airfix Titanic is 67 mm.. If you like Photoedge(im not sure if i do🤔) then there are a special edition(Minicraft and Arcademy)Theres also the Minicraft Titanic which is not to bad. The Airfix Titanic has a nice hull and the portholes are all open.So if you wanna put a light inside,it is no problem which i didn't. It is a great modell and it took me almost 3 month to build it. However.Good Luck🍀
Hi, I`m not 100 % sure of this, but I`ve read it on several forums/modeller groups that the airfix 1/400 titanic is in fact an older Academy rebox. You won`t go wrong with it, it`s a beautiful kit.
Academy and Airfix 1:400 are the same. The difference are the bonuses. Airfix has free paint sets, Academy has wood veneer decks, photo-etch (if you buy the Centennial Edition) or LEDs (if you get the latest re-issues).
Did`nt know about this kit, thanks for sharing!

Wow, I knew of the 1\700 kit but not the 1\400 scale, amazing!
did you know about the 1/200?
Screw that I do 1/1 scale

Yeah i know the feeling exactly, i got 3 of them! don`t ask me why!
Is there a video tutorial on the build I’m completely stuck on my build.
It’s called a instruction manual, INSIDE THE BOX
Exactly if there no manual buy one
If you cant get a manual well fuck it and move on
the red of the cogue is to dark and the decks seems fragile
Comparalo con el de minicraf o revell cual es mejor
may I ask, does the box contain everything I need to build the model? I have no tools currently
No tools just the kit
@@thehobbymodelmaniac73 Does this kit need any additional tools in addition to what is included in the box?

That would be because it is a rebox of the Academy MCP kit.

@Mark Livingstone,
A passenger described the funnel color as "tawny brown".
Is this not a reboxing of the Academy kit?
i did notice similar parts but definitly differnt to the last academy one i saw
It is a reboxing of the Academy kit. Excellent it is too.
Yes. It does look like the Academy kit, same scale!
It is the same kit re-boxed.
Hello, I hesitate between the airfix and the titanic academy. Could you tell me the diameter of the titanic Airfix windows? Thank you

Même maquette que chez academy ??
Airbrushing would do this kit justice. Airfix paints are wank sadly.
Bit of a shame it’s pretty much all pre painted for you
It's not bad, in my opinion.
