I think they should build it. More options for the consumer. Would I buy one? Probably not. But I do think we as the American public need and want options. Thanks for the content
It would be great if VolksWagen would make imitation parts for the old International Scouts...
Scout is going to be the new Latte from Idiocracy. You want a Scout.
The old scouts are cool off road vehicles. This will no doubt be a electric minivan with a cool shape. I remember how much in repairs my Audi took to keep on the road. Can't imagine off roading in a VW product. I'll stick with my Bronco.
Hopefully it will look like the old one. But like the bronco, I'm sure consumers will probably have to wait and wait....
Maybe they have re thought ICE!! 🤔
Like Dodge with Challenger/Charger?
Indian scout op
I’m not really on board with a 100% EV for off-roading unless they come up with a way to top it up in the middle of the desert somewhere. Hybrids make sense to me but pure EV implies a dependency on a grid that doesn’t exist in many of the places I go…. Maybe for the mall crawler crew
This ad shows marketing hasn't figured out the brand yet. You don't want to show too much of the older scouts doing awesome stuff because the new one might not be able to keep up.
What the marketing company for Scout should do is follow what the Heritage boot companies do and hint at its past while highlighting it's refinements and advancements.
Well said!
@@AllTerrainNation Thank you.
Somebody in the marketing department had too much time on their hands with not much to do.
Much to late. I don't believe it will have the same response as the Bronco. A lot of people have some connections with the Bronco over the years, and are buyers. Scouts were few in the day, I don't remember ever knowing anyone with a scout. Good luck, we'll see how it goes.
Don’t make it an EV and I’d be interested
The argument that the grid isn’t there/can’t support EVs, has got to stop… it will come, as the EVs come… it has met demand, so far, and will continue to grow, as demand increases for charging stations.
I see lines of people waiting to charge over Xmas.. I would have to disagree with you that they are meeting demand.
But we will get there
@@AllTerrainNation you’re really using holiday travel as an argument against? MOST means of travel Do not meet the demand of holiday travel… ::eye roll::
You mean like the awesome grid in California.
About 20 years too late for this vehicle. Only my 90 year old dad would recognize International Harvester and the Scout II name. Unfortunately for this company, had my dad lived, he would be in his 90s and wouldn't be driving or purchasing one. Too expensive for his tastes, anyways.😮
The only EV that makes sense to me is an electric motocross bike. And only because they are quiet. Rip all day and all night on your backyard motocross track and your neighbours wont be any the wiser..lolzz
Sadly the battery pack size kills most EV toys
@@AllTerrainNation What are you hearing about Toyotas Solid State battery? Do you think it's a game changer?
Its been quiet on that front but solid state would be a game changer from some of the things Ive read about it
It is too late for the party and too expensive comparing Tesla and any other competitors. They won't survive. Look at GM and Ford; they rescind investments in EVs now.
We agree, I do not see how this survives
I think the new ones look ugly ash
Too little, too late, no one cares.
