  • These three videos will show you how to disassemble, clean, reassemble, and adjust the distributor clutch on the 82-70.
    In this video I cover reassembly of the clutch as well as how to properly adjust the clutch and some things to keep in mind when looking for distribution errors.

    Going forward get the Eviro bushings from EBN services for the pinion gear they don't require oil and will greatly reduce clutch maintenance. You can also pull the distributor belt forward to move the drive shaft. The tension on the clutch will not cause trouble with the trip levers. What would cause that issue is not applying grease to the butt plate of the clutch. When it's dry this causes friction and binding when indexing. Overall great job and great video

    put the outer clutch plate on loosely then tighten down the nut and rotate the outer clutch plate so it pushes against the worn then set the spring tension. Clutch wont fall apart that way.

    I am realizing now how much time I spend over explaining this process. I made these videos to teach staff at my center how to do this with no prior experience. I made the video very elementary so that I could stop answering phone calls from the bowling staff messing up clutches lol

    Hi, i have a Problem with Via MC2. Sometimes Distributor can't extend to Pin 1 Station, so it causes pin jams on top of the machine. Any Tips?

    • @dsingletary06

      Can't extend or won't? Is there binding or can you move it freely by hand?

    I notice u have the standard 6in backend pulleys if u got a 5in pulley pins would have better spacing and reduce pileups as well.

      I wasn't aware there were different pulley sizes. I will definitely look into it if I find a lane that has trouble. Does it make the pin elevator rotate slower?

    Thanks I'm just getting started and my head mechanic has tried to show me, but he doesn't give good directions and there's no good place to watch over his shoulder

      I learned pretty much everything on my own. I sprayed shoes before I did this lol, then the mechanic quit and it was me. You get a feel for it before too long. Also look up service manual PDFs and get them printed if you can. It will definitely give you a more thorough understanding after reading official adjustment procedures and whatnot

    • @weaponsxpert87
      @weaponsxpert87 Před rokem

      @@helloish12321 wasnt how you filmed it but the info you provided. Some things were just not correct. The worm and outter plate should never be put on at the same time that way allows the worm to potentially have space between the washer and the inner plate. 1 full turn on the spring is too extreme for a freshly rebuilt clutch. The "book" says 3/4 most people go a little tighter to start but a full turn is too much. The outter nut needs to be tightened not just a couple of turns or it will lossen the clutch over time. Some other things also.
