For the second day... i would say things are going really well!
Matt: You asked what I felt was the best part of this blog? The best part is YOU. Your ease & your editing is simply top notch. I enjoy all of your videos. Most of all, I am glad you are back on your trike. Thank you.
Man… that’s a wonderful comment. Thanks. I needed that
Loving the 'back on the trike vids' still like the van life stuff too, but for me this is the 'Matt I like ' stuff. Stay safe .
Wow that buttery simmering goodness at the end. I don't blame you for spending that extra time at the lake. I can't wait to see the mountain climb after this.
Absolutely Outstanding Video!!!!!!!!!! Loved the drone shots and you sharing your meal-everything looked delicious!
Nice weather = Nice sceneries around tge lake.
I've missed this vlogs from Matt! Thanks for sharing your trip with US!
sure! there is more to come
That really looked delicious , you going have to do some serious peddling to work off that meal. My wife’s Italian so I can related to allot of that. Have a great time and stay safe and God bless
haha... i must have done ok.. because i lost 10kg on the trip as a whole
The combination of beautiful scenery in Italy, well chosen views and the music: your videos are just piece of of art that makes me want to do trips like these. I don't regret that your videos were kind of one reason to buy a trike back in the days ...
awesome!
18:11 Laughed for about 20 mins listening to Matt talk English in an Italian (?) accent to an Italian
Yea. Horrible.
Love your blogs I’m in Melbourne and own a Greenspeed Magnum which I love. Your blogs are the best.
Greenspeed makes a hefty trike.. enjoy it!.
What a great trip! Being able to just slowly cruise with the walkers and move along with some reasonable speed is the beauty of trikes. Those cafes are amazing and $25/USD for a tent spot is pretty great!. I never let language stand in the was of a good conversation. It’s a bummer that I’m probably too old to do a tour like you’re doing, so thanks for dragging me along. 😉
Never too old bill. Thanks brother
Italy looks very nice!
Those trikes were fairly popular after WW II in West Germany.
They were built by Messerschmidt and probably were a reinterpretation of fighter aircraft (ME 109) cockpit designs.
it was really interesting
love it all except the cotton wood stuff. Loved the scenery, I liked the meal too. Fantastic weather to ride. Take care , ride safed from Canada. Check your helmet it looked like it was slipping down but it might have just been the camera angle.
Such a beautiful recumbent trike tour, Matt. Great scenery and the food looks delicious.
Keep on Triking!
Great video, thanks for sharing. No more relaxing ride than a recumbent trike.
Yup!
I've been following you for a few years before lockdown and i used to live in Hong Kong and go to mainland china on a regular basis.
I moved back to Italy last year!
You should come to the Adriatic Coast. In Abruzzo region, where i currently live, there is a uninterrupted 150km fantastic coastal bike path that takes you from Martinsicuro to the amazing Trabocchi coast. If you get to come before June 17, i have my Airbnb available and I'd be happy to have you stay there and give you some advice on what to see, skipping the super touristy locations.
oooh man! that sounds awesome. i wish i would have been able to take you up on this offer. next time!
Eating like a king there ❤
haha yea... too much...
Nice trip!!!😊😊😊
cut some things...continue the slow ride and enjoy everything...Italy cannot be rushed. I agree leave Corsica off and you will love Sardinia. A bit early for the Sardinia season so I think you will find less tourists. You will need to use caution for spending as Sardinia is very expensive but much better off the tourist type trail.
you will see!.... i think you will enjoy the rides i took
The most I enjoy how you travel in a very similar way (camping) on a very similar place (Italy) as me and you make the same observations, such as putting up/down a tent taking too long. That is why I only put up my tent when I expect rain. Otherwise I sleep under the stars ;-)
thats a great habit... i would be nervous to get some freak rain and have it get my electronics wet...
@@JaYoeNation Sure, you need to keep your electronics packed overnight. It also helps against steeling. I know you need to charge, but maybe that can be done in panniers as well as I do it in my trailer. There is more room when sleeping bag is out.
2.30am but I'm still up, so why not.
As a trike rider, I enjoy seeing other trike riders; on the trails. Did you see a few trike riders? Enjoyed your description of the foods.
i only saw one other trike on the whole trip... hoped i would see more
Fkucin cool ……..😊
I dont mind that you skip Corsica, as I've seen a movie that featured it. It was called Cheech and Chong's The Corsican Brothers.
haha... well... you will see it for sure.. its coming up
I like Lagos do como even more !!!!!!!
i wish i could have seen it.
⚔️💪😎🏴👍
If you stay at a hotel while you are touring, etc , are you able to bring your trike to your room like a bicycle, or do you have to leave it outside?
nope... just leave it outside locked in the parking area...never had a problem. i bring the bags inside.
what is your end city. i would ´travel with a train down from germany just to meet up and grab a meal chatting touring and trikes
im sorry.. i am already back in the USA as you wrote this. i would have liked to have taken you up on the offer... i returned from Rome.
Is that a Messerschmidt in the background at the beginning?
Yep, definitely, the trike is a Messerschmidt and actually, two or three years back a guy from Pfungstadt near Frankfurt was presenting a Velomobile copy of the Messerschmitt at Spezi!
@@jonabub I saw the latest version Veloschmitt- at 85kg I'd call it a microcar or even a mobility scooter with pedals rather than a velomobile- and it's pretty slow too.
@@rossbrumby1957 Yes, it wasn't yet fully developed, but as we see with the quadvelo or similar competition 80kg is not too bad when you have electric assist.
But tbh i didn't like the choice of car anyways. Messerschmitt has a certain history to it and other models would have lent themselves to such a project in a better way i think. But overall it's still nice to see old cars and pieces of history being put to good use and to see that obviously such an old car still serves a purpose.
Matt what size are your tires and what air pressure were you running on the sand?
they were product
Continental Double Fighter III 1,9"s... and not sure the pressure at that time... probably 60 psi
@@JaYoeNation Thanks!
Waiter shows you the back of the bottle- in case you wanna read the fine print!
No no he is showing there is a 25 cents deposit for the bottle.
LOL... i just drink... no need to read.
Wait, aren't you supposed to be drinking aperitif on Italian beaches?
i had to look up "aperitif".... never heard that word... thanks!
Your waitress was amazing!
yea.. she was super cool. how you doin brother?
@@JaYoeNation Depends what day you're asking me but I certainly can't complain. Hope you're loving it out there.
go slow on the meat ;-)
HAHA... i cant.. it was too good
Life is tough.
aint it though?
Sir! Never, ever take the nuts with your hands. There is a spoon there. Use it! Otherwise they will think you are a filthy barbarian. Just a friendly advise...
That three wheelie is a classic Messerschmidt KR 200 from Germany. KR for Kabinenroller ... like cabin scooter. About 190 cc / 10 hp / app 60 mph.
sorry about the nutz... but i didnt leave any left in the dish.. and it was only me... so i figured it would be ok. It was not community nuts.. and others were doing the same.
