    You should install some led light strips on the sides of the bed, those can be really useful if you have a bed cover or it’s dark

    I love the adjustable rails. It looks like Unistrut, which I used to use at an old job for mounting and testing industrial products. It is very easy to work with and adjust for whatever you need to mount. Nice job.

    Nice job. Much more functional now. I do have to say that I'm disappointed the Ford drop in liner is not a molded 1 piece drop-in tub style, but rather separate panels. I feel like carrying any type of load that's gritty or dusty, such as mulch or gravel, is going to work its way behind those panels.

    Here in New England guys generally remove the bed liner once a year to flush out road salt that collects beneath the liner.
    Upon this installation, are the various sections of liner sealed, or will the seams allow water to collect beneath the liner?

    • @TestDrivenTV
      @TestDrivenTV  Před 2 lety +4

      The gaps are pretty substantial. Not really a practical way to seal that up, and you really wouldn't want to otherwise it would collect water in the bed. This bed liner is actually designed to allow water to escape through its seams. The steel bed itself has multiple drain holes to let that water out. These are issues we don't have in Arizona.

    Drop in liners can cause rust in some places, I would personally avoid them.

      BS... I just removed the bed liner from my 1997 F-150... the bed still looked brand new underneath, just a few slight rub marks...

      @nickdannunzio7683 They can, doesn't mean they will. Where you live, and how you maintain it plays a large part. There are documented cases of drop in liners causing truck beds to rust. There are plenty of cases like yours where they have been issue free. It's just why I would personally avoid them in favor of a spray in.

    DuraLiner now has DuraLiner BEDLINER 63201SRX, is that the same product as the one sold through Ford ?

    • @TestDrivenTV
      @TestDrivenTV  Před rokem

      Same parent company, though the product appears to be a one piece drop-in liner instead of a modular kit like the Ford Accessories one.

      @@TestDrivenTV Thanks for the response Sam, do we know yet if the Ford version is sold elsewhere or through manufacturer or is Ford the only option for that particular model ?

    Can't Ford make one with three-row seating and six doors? We have three kids, and they all refuse to sit in the middle seat.

      They’re the kids. You’re the parent. Figure it out or open your wallet for a conversion.
