The best reboot will never happen without Matthew
Its for the best that it's not getting rebooted, the reboot would never be able to live up to the original. Friends and Friday Night Lights are 2 shows that are impossible to recapture the magic of the orginal series.
This would have been a much different video now that Matthew has passed. My heart is so sad for all of them but especially Matt, I can’t imagine how hard this is for him. No way could there EVER be a Friends reboot now, each of those characters are equally important to each of the stories. I’m so sorry Matthew has passed, my heart is with all of them. Rest in peace, you will never be forgotten 💔🌹
It would be about their children with them as occasional guest stars for it to work. I mean Ben would be 28 now and even Emma would be 21. The twins 20.
Add Phobe's surrogate kids/nieces and nephew in there with us learning Joey had a donor child (he donated sperm in season 1) and we would have a good mix.

Just because he was a public figure, doesn't mean his health records and autopsy have to be. The information will go to his primary care physician, and maybe to a select few family members, but that's all.

I don't think they'll do a reboot, BUT it could be a way to honor Perry's character. And it would be reflective of real life. People die, people who you love dearly. And then you have to figure out how to keep going afterwards. Unless we're the first to go, we will all lose a close friend/loved one. Sometimes, life sucks.
They could easily do a reboot without them all, and just have them as recurring guests who pop in (obviously not Matthew Perry, but he can still be honoured in their memories).
They could do a show with the kids all grown up living in New York (Monica and Chandler's adopted children, Phoebe's triplets, Ben, and Emma).
They're all too old for a reboot IMHO.
Joey is and will always be the most coolest Bro to have around. I can definitely see myself having a slice of pizza and drinking a beer with the man. Even today I still look over at my girl and use that one line from Joey. How you doing? Lol
Having a “Friends” reboot will honestly never be the same without Matthew Perry if they are considering doing it, Matthew was honestly the STAR of the show & with a reboot of “Friends” it just wouldn’t be the same without him #restinpeacematthewperry 🕊️

No offense to Steve Harvey and his old show, but the people posting these videos should also put dates with it as well. Not just this one but all of the others. Not myself but there are a lot of people who assume that Steve got his show back or that it never ended and think that all of these random video's being posted are brand new and recently recorded. When the fact of the matter is they are all before Steve's show got cancelled several years ago now. Just sayin

There is no reboot without Matthew, even if it's on his honor. Now that Matthew's gone, I wanna think that Chandler did get to grow old with Monica, their twins and even grandchildren.
If they did it would have to be in tribute of Matt Perry but would be when the kids are grown up

matt aged like fine vine, as for a friends reboot, the only way if it was more of a spin off with the characters kids are the new characters but having the original characters making cameos i would say a year ago maybe but now, with mathrew parry's passing it doubt it would happen cause do you say chandler also passed? that be too heart breaking but i dont think that reboot idea will ever happen either

Wasnt the reboot idea discussed with a diff cast anyway? Cant remember... I cld be wrong, but I thought it was a reboot with a diff set of friends during the same time in age. Thats why LeBlanc asked, "like old friends?" Questioning if Steve meant the same cast, but older. And if thats the case, I agree with Leblanc, for sure.
Doing a show about midlife aged friendships would be a bit boring compared to the original. And think about it, we hated certain people they dated, etc. That show would get thru a season and fizzle. That's just my theory though, and no point in having one now with Matty being gone. It would never be even on the right track, let alone the same.

They had so many years to do a Friends reboot or spinoff. Would have loved a show with Matt and Matthew as adults and their families. Monica could join. Leblanc should come back to an American form of top gear. He was one of the very few that could make that show good. But, with the passing of Sabine. It can’t be done too
I know this interview is old but for one thing Matthew Perry passed away so it would never work on that bases alone (The Golden Palace was a disaster with Beatrice Arthur) and second the show is just fine the way it is no need to bring it back
If there's ever a reboot, they could do something around the Friends' kids: Emma, Ben, Chandler/Monica's 2 kids, Phoebe's triplet nieces/nephews... even Janice's kid. The parents could do cameos to keep things interesting.
I would keep all kids away from the Hollywood scene.. to much going on

They shouldn't do a reboot for the simple reason that Friends had its time and it's over now, and people should be able to remember it the way it was...I think a reboot would compromise that.
