Matt LeBlanc: Brits Love The C-Word | CONAN on TBS
/ teamcoco - Komedie
I love the cultural differences between the UK and USA, like in the US you get offended by the word C**t and in the UK we get offended by school children being slaughtered by automatic weapons.
Well said.
stolen memes
Understood however, automatic weapons are illegal in the U.S.A. Only semi automatics are sold in gun stores.
MErazoPT and in all of those shootings it is a semi automatic weapon but you can own a automatic weapon although there is a lot of paperwork and you need to live in the right state (not California)
You can thank the lawmakers who want to restrict guns, like Joe Biden.
He literally was Joey.. no money, auditioning for acting jobs 😂
Books_and_More yea but joey lived in an apartment in manhattan so he must've had some money
Gg Ff chandler paid the rent
Except he literally wasn't Joey. Unless Matt LeBlanc had his name changed, and was a young person out of work living in an apartment in New York City in the late 20th Century with a group of other 20 or 30 somethings.
Whilst looking for an acting job.
And went around saying to pretty young ladies 'how you doing?'..
Gg Ff Joey was a rent boy
but joey was far more intelligent
he borrowed thousands of dollars off chandler and lived rent free
shrewd :)
Americans think the UK is like Harry Potter. The UK is more like Trainspotting

@@eddiesorensen1016 Id rather pick up the Heroin than ever go back to the cat days 🤢🤢🤮
I bet you are middle class. It really isn't.
@British Teeth China, soon.
Nah that's Scotland and northern England.
I feel so proud to be British right now.
Szaam same
Feel so proud to have been colonised by the English
Why
I don't get this thing where Americans think we are so polite and proper. I've lived in the US and people there were far more polite. If you go in a shop in America, they call you "sir". Here they throw your change at you and say "yeah whatever fishface, shut the door on the way out".
your welcome lol
English people are just as shocked when Americans say "soccer"
iTouchMySylph now that's offensive
I watch Australian CZcamsrs and the C word seems like a common word for them too.
iTouchMySylph fifa doesn't have soccer in it. also nobody soccs a ball, you kick it with your foot..
Why would the English be offended by the word Soccer? It was invented in Oxford, as an abbreviation for Association Football. Its like the term Rugger for Rugby.
mxviii then why don't you guys use rugby? fifa doesn't have fifa in it. also YoU KiCk A BaLl wItH yOuR FoOt?
In Scotland the word is so casual it's sometimes a term of endearment

Same here in London 😊
Australia, too. You _see_ what wars of independence get you, you dumb Yanks?

The same in essex
IN LONDON?!
Jimbo Quemiau London baby!!
Jimbo Quemiau i understood that reference!
NetherStar Entertainment thats so cool great comment 👍
Jimbo Quemiau yep, it's filmed in Wimbledon.
I read that in joeys voice
It's all in the venom behind the 'T'.
Less venom = term of endearment.
More venom = I've burnt the toast.
Spot on
Looool I'm in tears
The harsher the T the nastier we mean it 😂
This is the perfect sum up

He's right, us Brits do say cunningly a lot.

Not as big as the difference between 9 and 10 though!
Damn right!
Yes it means you can afford some batteries for your torch and the days wouldnt be quite so dark. :)
Yeah your right, only the change came to 99 cents. Still that extra cent means a lot.
I just love it how he said “god bless her”😂😂😂 well played Matt LeBlanc.. well played..😂❤️
That sounded like a well-rehearsed line...and story.

@@randolphpinkle4482 Maybe cause he has told the story several times to several different people?
I can vouch for this.
Actually in Scotland, where I'm from, we honestly use cunt interchangeably with person.
"Look at that cunt over there" is a completely normal sentence...

If he dyed his hair black he would literally not have aged
People really need to learn when to use the word literally.
Juan José Fonseca Godoy Yeah. That is quite literally true. They really should.
Except, he literally would have. He might not look like he hadn't aged, but in literal terms, he very actually really truly would have quite literally - aged.
Well, his voice has put on a good 50 to 60 years since Friends...
...and lost 30 lbs
If you think England is bad, you might want to investigate Glasgow. It might shock you even more.

It's us Brits and the Aussies that love the C word 😂
🇬🇧❤️🇦🇺
It's weird how we seem to love Aussies, Kiwis and Canadians but we're slightly iffy about Americans.
LeBlanc is so good at telling a story, ive seen this video three or four times and I know the punchline but I still laugh
In America firearms and graphic violence are fine just as long as you don't say any naughty words.

Matt Le Blanc is the most awesome and likeable actor from the Friends cast, like you can have a beer with him and listen to his advice and awesome stories.
My dad's English and he uses it sometimes, but he says "C U Next Tuesday" and now whenever my family wants to use it we just say that... Lolllll, there you go everyone

It's actually a really good show.
Yeah, because Americans don't use the word f*ck in every sentence ;-).
grrrindz What makes you think I'm British? Americans... So arrogant.
Do you think putting an asterisk in "fuck" magically makes it less offensive or something?

So different than when he was on Joey and so animated!
Yea it's like the Sylvester Stallone when on steroids.
Well conan sounds like a chipmunk on helium, so he's gonna sound deeper.
The US may hate the c-word but you wouldn't mind it if you ever saw someone put the milk in first when they make tea. Thats true horror and it really takes the biscuit.

The fact that Americans could never get their heads around how we would use this word as a term of endearment pretty much sums up the difference between us. They are lacking something.
I'm british and can never get my head around that. No one I know says that word casually and I have lived all over the UK.

His voice!
I spent 23 years sailing on over 80 ships in the British merchant marine. The use of the universal English maritime language is flowered with many Anglo-Saxon superlatives - many of them four lettered. Though the use of the C word was used by the crew to interconnect meaningful words together to form sentences, the officers, invariably, were more inclined to favour the F word instead - the C word considered to be rather distasteful for social consumption in the officers' environment. I do, however, remember one captain on a ferry leaving Belfast and heading the ship out seaward down Belfast Lough one beautiful morning came across a flotilla of yachts in a race caught without wind. The marshalling motor cruiser in charge of the race hove to in the fairway across the bow of the ferry. A bunch of blazer and cravat types were sat in the stern of the marshalling boat paying no heed to the ferry bearing down upon them. Our captain, not known for patience or diplomacy, boomed out his displeasure through an electronic hand held megaphone, 'You stupid, c**** get your blasted piece of junk out of the f****** way!' The two thousand or so passengers lining the decks, swiftly drifted out of sight back into the accommodation - no doubt left wondering who was the rough diamond running the ship. That was the only time I heard a four bander using the C word.
Cun - Its traditional measure is the width of a person's thumb at the knuckle, whereas the width of the two forefingers denotes 1.5 cun and the width of all fingers side-by-side is three cuns. In this sense it continues to be used to chart acupuncture points on the human body in various uses of traditional Chinese Medicine.
