- Arriving to the famous San Miguel de Allende!
We get a surprise the first morning and it turns into a crazy party!
Then my first look at the charming and beautiful cityscape. So many people love San Miguel! Will it be our new town?
My name is Mora Margaret and I'm traveling with my two dogs by car through Mexico, seeking a special place for relocation.

If you leave a comment I appreciate it! But, youtube is being glitchy and I'm not able to see all comments. They say they are working on the problem. If I don't respond to your comment it's most likely because it has disappeared from my view. Hopefully I will be able to see it soon.
I love your music selections also.
Just found Mora's YT channel and am currently binge-watching. Love it so far!

I'm the same I love love it!
Me too
Your dogs are beautiful
I just moved to Guanajuato 2 weeks ago from Alaska! I will be here several months studying Spanish. I appreciate your recent videos. I appreciate all the other influences who did the work in the last few years. But it is nice to see videos more recent. Thank you for your work.
Thank you. I loved Guanajuato! I hope you have a wonderful time there.
What a beautiful town, I love Mexico.
A lot of festivals and folklore are the same in New Mexico, where I lived for almost 30 years.
I admire you so much for what you're doing and am happy you have your doggies with you, they are family.
What a beautiful country it must fill your heart with love and joy.
I love your channel so much ,it brings me much joy.
Thank you 🇺🇸
That's so nice! Thanks for your comment :)

I admire your choice for your life path, I hope I don't become a nuisance.lol
I have 2 great gransons of Mexican heritage.
Their daddy is a beautiful young man and a wonderful daddy and my grand babies 1-4 yrs speak English and Spanish, I'm so proud 😍💕
Beautiful town.
Yes it was! Too popular for me though.
Resembles Carnival/Mardi Gras.🎉
Que bonito!
So much love in your video.
🤗
Mora, un gusto que estés en México, hay fiesta todo el tiempo, disfruta cada lugar y cada momento. Estaré atento cuando estés cerca de mi ciudad para invitarte un guacamole!!
Eso es muy amable de tu parte! Muchas gracias!
April and May's weather was brutally hot 🔥. I've lived here for nearly a year and that heat wave to harsh. Outside of that, SMA is magical ✨️
Yes, we suffered through that in other parts of Mexico. So glad the rain came and cooled us all off!
Such a beautiful video❤
You are so kind, thank you.
Beautiful town. You're opening my eyes to my own escape plan. I have a dog too, so it would be way easier to drive to Mexico vs. S. America. Thanks for sharing Mora. I'm envious. I'd love to see a video breaking down cost of rent/food/internet etc.
I’m working on it. Now that I’m staying in one place for a while my expenses are stabilizing. look for my video next week. Good luck!
@@MoraMargaret You did go over groceries on one I saw after this. Chicken was expensive, but the rest seemed comparable or cheaper than the US.
It's true. Now that I shop more at the mercado (vs the Walmart style shops) my costs have become lower. Especially for fruits and vegetables, tortillas etc..
What a beautiful place!
It really is!
It really is!
Hi Mora! You captured San Miguel de Allende. Nice work. Just wandering around is a visual treat. And...love your dogs!
Thank you. I love them too :)
The sweetness of being greeted by love upon arriving home 🐾🐾
Isn't it the best? Love these two!
@@MoraMargaret yup...the best!
I love your videos! And I love SMA! I wish I was there right now! Have a great weekend!
Thank you! You too!

What does SMA stand for?
San Miguel de Allende, located in the central highlands of Mexico's Guanajuato state, is a city renowned for its well-preserved colonial architecture, vibrant arts scene, and historical significance. Founded in 1542, it played a pivotal role in Mexico's War of Independence and boasts landmarks like the neo-Gothic Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel and the Casa de Allende. The city's picturesque streets and cultural festivals, such as the San Miguel Writers' Conference and Dia de los Locos, draw visitors from around the world. Its thriving expatriate community enjoys a blend of traditional Mexican charm and modern amenities. With nearby natural attractions like the El Charco del Ingenio botanical garden and various thermal springs, San Miguel de Allende offers a unique and enchanting experience for both residents and tourists. Great video, Mora Margaret!
Thank you!
Is that all your photography? It's really good 👍
No I got several clips and photos from Creative Commons and other sites. I don’t have a very good camera 😞
Those girls were practicing doing an interview in English.
What is the music please? Beautiful
If you ever want to know about the music, I list it under the video, if you click "more" But here is what I used on this particular video:
A New Beginning by Esther Abrami
Love in Mexico by Carmen Maria & Edu Espinal
Fiesta de la Vida by Aaron Kenny
Casuarinas by Dan Barracuda
Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I can’t wait to find out. Where are you go next and whether or not you choose San Miguel as your new home. I am considering moving there.
Have you ever visited? It's beautiful for sure.
@@MoraMargaret we have not visited San Miguel. But we have friends that had recently located there. They have been encouraging us to come for a visit. And we may go for a visit but not sure it would be the right place for us to relocate. We have definitely been considering relocating to Mexico.
Did you have any trouble getting your dogs into Mexico?
No, because I drove over the boarder. I understand flying is more difficult. I have all their documents but no one asked to see them. I guess the CDC is making returning to the states more difficult after Aug. 1, so that's a consideration if you're coming from the the States and planning to return there.
Great video. What neighborhoods did you showcase?
Thanks! Mainly San Antonio and Centro Historico.
You got Oregon tags on your car down there?
Yes
Great video. I’m on ❤ with your dogs 😊.
Your place looks beautiful. Expensive? I’ve heard it can be there. Is it right in Centro or another area close by?
Thanks! It's more expensive than many other places, but not outrageous. I have a place with a garden so it's worth it! It takes about 20 to walk to the main square. The town is beautiful. I'm making a second video about it. Even if you don't want to live here you should come to see San Miguel, if you haven't already.
@@MoraMargaret what is the area called? Would you consider living in San Miguel?
Yes, considering it and so we are here to check it out. To be honest I kind of think I'm looking for somewhere a little less popular (and expensive), but you'll have to check out my next video. The area we stayed in was San Antonio.
@@MoraMargaret yes I have watched a video on neighborhoods there and that was the one I liked best. But ya everything seems pricey there.
@@MoraMargaret I heard you had some torrential rain!
