- We are back with a Car Profile! Car Profiles give you the information about the car and where the car currently sits in terms of Balance of Performance. If there is an update to the Balance of Performance or Physics I will do my best to update you in a follow up video or via the website.

Car Profile FAQ;
- Why Maximum RPM and not Maximum Performance on the Fuel Test? This is because not everyone uses bumper so they can't see the rev range. They can however see the Bar and that's why we use that.
- Why are you using Tyre Wear? This is because the official Balance of Performance is done using Fuel and Tyre wear so will be more accurate.
- Why Optimum over Fastest Laps? Because it's easier to get 10 individual best sectors than to get 10 best laps. You could blitz a sector 3 1 lap and a sector 2 the next lap and combined they create the optimum lap and a better picture.
- Why are you doing 10 laps? This is because after that I feel tyre wear and fuel becomes more impactful.
- Why Racing Medium tyres? I use this tyre as it's the "Middle" tyre in racing compounds. I feel the cars should be MOST balanced on this tyre in my opinion

#GT7 #GranTurismo7 #GranTurismo #bop - Hry
For my own personal BOP tests when evaluating general performance, I usually do a custom 10 lap race at interlagos using 3x fuel and 7x RM tires - with one other opponent…. so it essentially becomes a 10lap BOP’d TT.
I’ve found that interlagos has a good enough mix of power sections to evaluate power and fuel consumption. And the rest of the track is known for shredding tires.
At those multipliers, the car’s weaknesses or strengths usually show themselves once the tires wear and the fuel comes off.
I don’t really pay attention to optimals, or lap times…. Just overall finishing time. This will also tell me how consistent a car is with degradation, and how consistent I can be with said car.
Great video as always!
Nice video 👍 looking forward for the Lexus
Fun fact GT auto has the EVO 2 kit for this car and the kit increases your rear downforce range
With the backwards wing mounts.
@@R4M_Tommy IMO EVO 2 looks better than EVO
My favourite car in GT3!
Thanks Tidge! Like deployed 👍
Hey Tidge! Think I'll have to buy this car after watching this video. I'd love to see one on the beetle! I think it's the best sounding gr3 car and it's fun to drive. But doesn't seem able to compete 😕
Hey tidge, thank you for another cat profile. I have a question, tho I understand the need to short shift on certain cars like the supra and also likewise revving the nuts off of a car like the audi. But what I don't understand is how you figure it out ? Can you explain how you work out from the engine map where the best point or rpm to change gear is ???
So generally for a car I figure it out via beat the meta so I will try different things. But I try these things based on the graph you can see in the car settings. I've added a video idea to my list in sharing how I test this.
You should look at your rate of acceleration on track. Some cars noticably don’t want to be revved like the vette and supra and some do like the mclaren
I love this car...
Been using ir pretty sure they give you this for free its so good one of my favs for sure gr4 cayman is so bad ass to was my go to in gt sport
It's actually very interesting to see this car being good in low and mid speed as i personally didn't like the R8 Evo at all because to me it feels very understeery. At least around RBR it was pretty bad i was doing consistantly 1.28.6 on softs with the R8 and was doing 28.1 with the Ferrari and the Lamborghini. I'm really curious about these cars and see what it can do when you'll test them for the car profile
I think for RBR its just the speed issue of the R8 just bins it and maybe trying to keep that speed up just lifts the front noise a bit? Definitely feels amazing at the handling side for me though. You are rapido though so maybe you are experiencing something I'm just not getting to as you're carrying that few extra mph?
@@tidgney The Ferrari isn't that fast on straights but i think its acceleration and turn in are a bit better than the R8. At least that's how i felt driving these cars and the lap times speak for themselves.
Hi Tigde, Great video, keep them coming. Could you do a profile on the Mazda RX Vision next?
I've added a vote to the Mazda, so bumps it up the list :).
Tidge, the 911 RSR needs to be next. I've always liked the R8s in GTS>7. The Evo had a rough beginning in GT7, but it seems to have gotten fixed. You have to put the Evo2 wing on it! Isn't the AMG Evo the newest GR3 car now?
The AMG is the newest, this is 2nd I think?
@@tidgney one day maybe a new Ferrari, Aston, and McLaren. Maybe
i'm sorry but the tires test is not truthful, i tried in daytona with the gr.4 corvette and the gr.4 viper (obviously with bop). i'm 100% sure that the viper is better than the corvette for tires (i did a tournament with these cars), but this test has given me the opposite result.
It's not that it is not truthful as the numbers don't lie. However as explained in nearly every Car Profile video, doing a tyre test is near on impossible because of human error, and human interaction. You brake to late and you brake longer which causes more wear etc. The idea behind the tyre test here is that with no human intervention this is what the tyre wear is like. If you do nothing other than drive this is the result, now you can add extra intervention and the tyre test may change. It will also be very circuit specific.
Great video as always. Please can you look at the bmw m6. It seems to be on most leader boards but not used very often at all
It seems like I read your mind 👀
I really like these profile videos but without wanting to be picky isn't the whole point of FM3 to save fuel at full revs not 1/4 as you've already got 1/4 at FM1 covered ? Looks like Audi would be a decent choice if they had an up to date GT4 or Gr4 Car like the R8 LMS GT4
You can be picky, it's all good as I always say constructive criticism, feedback or questioning is all good!
So the idea with FM3 is that you only use FM if you are in that emergency mode where shortshifting won't get you to the end. At this point you have to quarter shift as well (Or actually shifting even earlier). So this really shows how much fuel you can save and how much the performance is impacted etc.
@@tidgney I didn't mean to be picky sorry Tidge, it's hard to convey through text, I get what you mean now, I just thought like for like with the FM you'd fully rev out, I guess that could be a totally different experiment on how much fuel is saved on that basis, it's a shame GT7 doesn't have the 0-500m , 0 - 1000m markers for speed / distance like GT6 had on Route X or was it GT5 ? those were useful and would save a load of work for what you're doing.
