In this video I demonstrate how to create a custom glitched vocal effect instrument, using the Slicing Mode in Quick Sampler, in Logic Pro X. #logicpro #vocal #quicksampler
Hey man just wanted to say I really appreciate the quality and preciseness of your videos. You approach things with a classical background and show all the steps. Just in this one 10 min tutorial focussed on chopping up vocals I learned a bunch of different small tricks that I’ll be using on all my tracks. Seriously thank you for doing these vids. As a new sub I can’t wait to deep dive into more of your content
thank you so much ! i was looking everywhere for something like this and now i just randomly found this video! it will improve my music so much and i cant thank you more!!!
You can use the Vocal Transformer plugin, and play around with the 'Formant' knob. This will shift the formants of the singer higher or lower (like shifting the overtones, but not changing the actually sung pitch.) This can make voices sound brighter and more feminine, or deeper and more masculine.
I want to be able to play the sample so that I can push the key or pad and not have to hold the key down for the whole thing to play. Also want to have it so that when I push one key and then then another, the first one stops as soon as I hit second key. With the old Logic and exs instrument I had this dialed in but can figure it out with new sampler!

an other question , would you make a vid about new apple m1 chips?
i would know your opinion about it ,
thanks a lot.
When I manage to get my hands on a new M1 Mac I will! I just bought a new MacBook last year before the new update, unfortunately
Thank you!!! 👌
Time to be creative now.... because I can‘t sing 😂😂😂
Well done, right to the point and useable, thanks. What to do to get a male vocal to sound female? Possible? No budget for singers right now :)

Does anyone know where a sample is stored when one uses the Recorder function to sample an instrument?
❤️
Skrillex Approves !

Is there a way in the quick sampler to create beginning and ending crossfades? I see it in Sampler but not quick sampler?
Can you still do this without a midi keyboard? Or just use the musical typing on logic ?
do I need a keyboard for that?
