    Thanks for the great information. My favorite prebiotic is raw garlic. Garlic has so many benefits. Anti-Cancer, Anti-Fungal. Definitely need to have garlic everyday.

    Thanks Jordan for sharing some super sources of prebiotics.
    Dr. Greger essentially said to forget probiotics, just eat a diet rich in prebiotics and your bacteria will take care of themselves. "You are what They eat." or perhaps even more accurately: "They are what You eat."

    Agreed and one cheap source if your on a shoestring budget, is potato starch(raw). Cutting potatoes finely and massaging them and squeezing the water out will bring out the starch and consuming it raw will help with blood sugar as well as gut health. I like to do this process and after the the starch settles, take some of the water out and add some more till it’s semi clear, it won’t hurt you but just a preference.

    From this video I get that prebiotics is probably more important than consuming probiotics

    • @kittkeithley1744
      @kittkeithley1744 Před 3 lety +1

      You must have both pre and probiotics one is not more important than the other. I have been studying nutritional research in 2002 and I do all of this myself. Prebiotics feed the probiotic elements so that's why you take it with food most of the time the prebiotics are in food but some supplements do have pre and pro in them others you may have to take separately. But the probiotics must have prebiotics whether you're getting it from food or from a combination you must do your own research and remember to always use the MD or do research not just a trainer. This is an excellent source but I just wanted to clarify your comment.

    • @belove9
      @belove9 Před 6 lety +3

      I have lymphocytic colitis too, I can help you! When I'm having a flare up, I like to fast. Fermented foods, alkaline water, lemon, vinegar with the mother, turmeric, ginger root, bee pollen and a whole foods diet will help you. If I'm really sick, I use wild oil of oregano for 7-10 days. If you need instant comfort, I highly recommend drinking hot ginger/turmeric tea with lemon, vinegar with the mother and honey in it. Bone broth and bananas will also be your best friends! I hope this info helps you!
