      Hey Dan thanks for the comment. They are a definite improvement over stock and offer a lot more options when it comes to tire sizes. Slot on Brother

    I really wish I could get in to the MG+ but I just remain unimpressed. I really feel like the MG+ is a step backward from hobby level cars to toy cars.
    Glad VSR is working to improve them. Hopefully some day AFX or even VSR might start offering some armature and motor magnet options.
    Would love to see an "open sided" motor can upgrade for the MG+ or a mod product that allows a more common "strap can" motor to be swapped in.
    Thanks for your contributions to the hobby, Dan.

      Hi Ralph thanks for your comments. I shared similar thoughts originally but have come to realize that there are plenty of FAST High performance options out there. The Mega G+ doesn't need to be that car. Its role is to look great and attract the youth of the 50s 60s and 70s back to slot cars. Slot on brother

      The correct comparison would be the Mega-G+ and Mega-G. Small form, long wheelbase, great for Toyota LMPs and the recent Sauber F1s. The plus has a can motor, but so what? So do most slotcars.

      @@viperscaleracing I agree that some of their bodies are well designed with good detail. They have the concourse down, that's for sure.
      And you have a point, they can't all be gems.

      Seems like you are comparing a stock AFX Mega G + to a Viper car, which is completely unfair. Absolutely nothing wrong with the Mega G + for the price. No one even comes close to their body shell detail and beauty. Speed is not everything. Have fun sliding non-magnet cars takes skill and many of us love that in addition to watching invisible cars zipping around the track.

      I'm not comparing them to anything except maybe previous toy level slot cars.
      Thanks for sharing.

    Would have been nice to see a comparison of lap times with and without. If I'm going to get rid of a matching set of wheels for something much less attractive, I want to know that the esthetics, and cost, is worth it. 🤨

    You are using 2 chassis sizes to make the video and 3 different chassis to finish it. Why not one chassis for the whole video?

  • @slotvalleyracing
    @slotvalleyracing Před měsícem

    What happened to the cars actual chassis. I can see the rear rims have 3 different colors in this video. They should be black and started out grey then black then gold 1.5 gold Gt40

    Is there an advantage to having those narrow front tires on the car?

    • @viperscaleracing
      @viperscaleracing  Před měsícem +1

      @shonemcgirr1687 yes less rolling resistance and multiple sizes available for more tuning options
