@WarLeaker If you go back in history to before Israel was formed on top of an existing population, what we now call Israelis were labelled terrorists and even attacked British soldiers.
After Israel was formed and the Palestinians slowly driven out to little pockets including Gaza - basically some wasteland and then illegally blockaded in for over 10 years, with their electricity, water, medical supplies all controlled. Fishing boats shot out of the water. Freedom of movement stopped. How many times can you kick a dog before it will bite you?
How would your country react in a similar situation, if say Ukraine lost the war with Russia and they were given a country on top of you. And they then slowly pushed you to little pockets and blockaded you in.
Whatever your thoughts on the history, what Israel is doing now bombing civilians is terrorist and a war crime. Can you imagine if the UK had just bombed all of Ireland when the IRA were about.
There is no good in this. Hamas (which is actually a democratically elected government) and Israeli government are as bad as each other. The victims are the Palestinian and Israeli people. Even the majority of the Israeli population is against what is happening, and the prime minister had taken big hits in the polls and was very unpopular before this terrorist attack by Hamas.
Without peace talks and a fair solution for Palestinians to be free and control their own lives rather than Israel controlling them, there is always going to be this conflict.
I seriously want to know what was HAMAS' plan on this? There's no way they expected Israel to not respond. Are they trying to trigger a regional war even if they get wiped in the process?
They wanted to disrupt the talks with Saudi Arabia. However hamas disrupted their existance.

In case nobodies noticed they playing a different game this time. This time theyve finally learned to play israels game and theyre doing it well. Or were untill the media blackout, remains to be seen where it goes.
I don't think they were banking on another ceasefire. Not knowing whos in power and the scale of this assault they perpetrated. They're finally playing the international stage and gaining sympathy and legitimacy very quickly, and i think that was the real goal.

If the East open a new front (eg: Taiwan), then half the fleet available to respond and no artillery shell since it was diverted from Ukraine to mid-east, and thousand of precision bomb already spent on Gaza.

@@povang Well technically, the US didn't really fail as much as not really try. For example, Afghanistan was a cakewalk for the American army, it basically steamrolled the Taliban with barely any losses. It was the Government that failed after the US withdrawl. But that was done in such a shitty manner it gave no chance to the new Government to defend its self (you can thank Trump for that one). The Invasion of Iraq was a total success militarily speaking. With even less casualties it was once again a total victory for the american army. All the way to the point where they withdrew becouse the american people were done with it (you can thank Obama for this disaster). And once again in Vietnam America was winning every fight but becouse of the chinese and soviet threat of invasion american troops were only able to assist vietnamese troops and had to give away any ground earned making victory impossible. And once again the American people were done with war and Nixon withdrew the forces.
So in conlusion, the US dominated every single one of these wars, and the Army was crushing their enemies, But no matter how good your military is, if you live in a democratic country and your people or your government (in case of Trump who defenitly wasn't influenced by Putin to give up Afghanistan or those various military bases which russian troops occupied mere hours later) decides it no longer wants war all you can do is go home. But in the case of Israel, considering the Threat is on their very border, launching missiles endangering Israeli lives, it is not very likely that Israels citizens are going to want peace for quite a while. And until they are done with war, Israel will absolutely dominate their neighbours, like they have done for over 60 years.

So when israel mobilized 300000 reservist no one cares and no one says that they did it because they are losing the war against much weaker opponent, but when Russia mobilized same number after a year of war against country that has support from west and support from western mercenaries every one talking how russia is weak and is losing the war.... Nice try. But apples and oranges. Ukraine didn’t invade Russia and take 300 hostages, it was the other way around. However I think both hamas and Israel are bad actors in that region.
Maybe because Russia mobilized them on top of the already mobilized army that they wanted to conquer Ukraine with. And also maybe the majority of the 3000000 reservists are deployed not against Hamas but in the North to prevent an expected attack by Hezbollah and Syria.
This is one of the stupidest comments I've seen. Hamas doesn't have a country of tens of millions with western backing and hundreds of thousands of troops in the field.
That doesn't mean Israel won't get bogged down and eventually have to withdraw. I doubt they can achieve their objectives with 300,000 men. That doesn't change the reality of how badly Russia fucked their own war.
@dhowe5180 I agree it is completely different situation, but Israel killed too many civilians, by civilians i speak about women and children because adult men can be considered terorists because they are dressed as civilians and are able to fight and would probably fight, while Russia tried to keep civilian casualties as low as possible. Russia could have bombed Kiyev at start of war and use much worse weaponry to target anything and they kept bombing mostly military areas, ofc mistakes always happens and sometimes they are done on purpose from anyone whonis at war, but Israel targeted civilian convoys and hospitals on purpose. Telling Palestinians to evacuate and give them "safe" routes for that and than bomb civilian convoys at those routes is pure war crime against every convention and yet no one cares and Israel gets support. While on the other side when Russia kills one civilian everyone calls out to arrest and execute Putin for war crime. That is what i don't like among people. You support one country that got their land by force without anyone consent, except US, and that country by force expended their borders more than US and UN gave them and when people who lost their territory attack everyone stands at Israel side. Israel did terrible things before this too. And because of all of this much worse is going to happen. I don't care about either of them, but i see same scenaruo there as it happened in my country when one side is allowed to do whatever they want and other side is going to be destroyed by anyone even when they just protect themselves. I don't care about Palestine they were supporting NATO whe my country was bombed for defending our territory and Israel supported my country, at least civilians did. And now Israel gets support from countries that bombed my country. I would like to see all out war in middle east and to see if Israel is going to defeat everyone around just as they did few times before. If they manage to defeat everyone and expand their borders good for them. Let them keep them and all good. But let my country start war to get back our territory just like they are letting Israel do it. I think that i hate Jews even more than muslims. Especially after video where jews spit on christians in Jerusalim, while in Palestine Christians had orthodox church, before Israel destoyed it, and christians lived in Gaza bettwr than in Israel. And Jews frogot that they got their land back because of christians, without christians they wouldn't exist anymore. Amd now rhey spit on us and on cross in middle of Jerusalem.....
