SEPv4 is already being prioritized over SEPv3 in production. It's essentially what the SEPv3 was meant to include but wasn't ready in time.
SEPv4: has new 3rd Gen FLIR for Gunner and TC, the M1147 is actually being debuted on SEPv4, or it's the first to be operational with M1147. Has new Laser warning receiver combined with ROSY rapid obscurant system.

Not until he actually goes directly to the battlefield, because it has not been proven the greatness of the black panther k2 tank in battle. Is he really as good as sales say?, And is he as good as a European tank?. I think the battle proven tanks are mostly from Europe and not from Korea, and you could say that K2 is also still new. So we can't be sure of the tank's greatness.

Honestly the French Leclrec is probably in the top 5. It’s pretty impressive.
alot of these turret mounted sensors look very vulnerable to damage !! problem is , will the tank be able to function without them if they get damaged or blown away by explosion ???

j'en suis pas si sûr, le leclerc manque un peu de blindage, son systeme de visée est cependant meilleur. c'est pas pour rien que la prochaine collab franco-allemande reprend une partie du chassis du leopard et une partie de la tourelle du leclerc pour l'embt.
aussi, dans l'éfficacité d'un tank, on prend en compte son coût, ce qui est le plus gros point faible du leclerc.

The Leopard 2A6 isn’t that good or the M1A2 they both have been destroyed by men in turbens who ride donkey’s.
The visuals of the kf51 are mostly made for marketing purposes and not actually efficiency, you could use excuses like radar absorbent materials and such but by looking at rheinmetalls current proposals you can tell it's just for marketing, and i get to say this because I'm german
@@jamesglass4842 the 2a6 hasn't seen any losses in the slightest, the only cases of anything later than 2a4 being damaged was IED's and those never destroyed them, canadian 2a6m's saw no major damage while a danish 2a5 was immobilized by an IED and killed the driver, all other leopard 2 losses were mainly leopard 2a4's operated by turkey

Well It's not merkava 5 (which means new design) Its the same design as the merkava 4 (which entered service in 2003). This is why its actually called Merkava 4 Barak. The new changes changes are improved Iron dome APS, new panoramic cameras and more new features.

I don't know why the T-72 and T-80 are not on the list. Those tanks have shown in the Ukraine war to have a technology that none of the other tanks have. It's STEM: Special Turret Ejection Mechanism. The turret gets blasted into the sky when hit by a anti-tank round. Very impressive! 😂

Yes the Numbers are Impressive. The Crew is another story, and how "Deadly" they are together using this Weapon System. That is Key. If they are smart enough and fed enough to be sober and healthy active and strong the Weapon will last as long as they do. FYI. Operators are the key to the weapon being TOP KNOCH. My pick is the Merkava V Barak with the troop transport / hatch 3 crew or troops. You can put 2 full load 3 shot anti tank troops in here too for a few hours travel.
I like Merkava tanks too. I like how they are designed to protect the crew. Big thanks for not mentioning any computer games.
I don't think Germany has the capability to produce that kf-51 tank realistically. Might be able to make a few for parades.

More than that, there are 2 MBT projects in Germany : The KF-51 (purely German) and The European MBT (France-Germany). How are they going to handle this situation ?
You forgot Swedish strv 122 with some other upgrades, otherwise it is similar to Leopard. It is supposed to be first or second on that list, otherwise they probably fit quite well
This is just an export-variant Leopard 2 with a few upgrades for Sweden. Export tanks are always worse than real ones. Their upgrades are making them better for country specifics like terrain\climate, but not really improving their main battle aspects.
Besides, this is still are Leopard 2 MBT, even if slightly downgraded. But not really worth this list.

The STRV 122 is not the same as an leopard 2. It is specialized with a Swedish armor company. It is considered to be the best tank in the world. It’s not a Leopard 2, it is something else.

For me, modern tanks will be manufactured very little due to the lack of resources. The armor of the tank contains special minerals that make it difficult to penetrate, especially modern tanks.

The majority of MBT's listed have one thing in common...no combat experience, not battle-tested...keep in mind, two most important factors these lists miss is the impact of crew training/experience & proper doctrinal employment
I agree about 90 %, Closest one to have even seen any combat is the Abrams but a few versions prior. Unproven and untested equipment needs proving and training to be operated correctly.
The M1 has plenty of battle experience, the rest of them have never stepped track in a real battle situation. With all this technology, these tanks are armed with how are they really going to react in battle situations in the mud and muck and weather situations. I hope we never have to find out.

That is so, we found out that the Russian tanks could be made instant convertibles, lol. By simple drones and anti-Tank missiles. Russia thought they could go into the Ukraine and just overwhelmed them with a mechanize force and at the end of the game all the Russians did was give the Ukraine more armor to use against them, because the training of the former Soviet Union is horrific. It's only known for people who are geeks about military force. The US has been training Ukrainian forces for quite a while now, and it shows.

I think that in order to be called a top tank, it should meet a few essential criteria. It should be in general production or have at least 500 units in active service. It should have seen combat and performed well against enemy armor. It should have a high availability rate (i.e.: not broken down, and able to go into combat). If it is so complicated that it can't withstand the rigors of training or combat,. If it can't, then what good is it? The T-14 Armada shouldn't be on this list because even though it was revealed in 2015, how come there are less than 100 in existence? Many of these tanks like the KF-51 is still in development but the Leopard 7 should be included. If you titled this video "Next generation tanks coming on line," then all can be included. So let's keep this limited to the tanks actually in production and on the battle field right now.

@@fk4410 Yes that's the issue. No matter how great the tank, if you don't have them in sufficient numbers, their effect is minimal. The T-14 Armada is a prefect example, there are only about 100 made even though it was introduced back in 2015.

@@fk4410 500 seems arbitrarily high, but actual battlefield experience would be a major plus. Absent that, enough numbers to actually have been tested. The Challenger has combat experience, and designs were modified as a result. Until the thing gets shot at, you never know what the weaknesses are.

@@soulsreaper7145 Nah... Leopards have always outclassed the Abrams in a great many combined exercises. I now see the Abrams and the Leopard 2 as equals. Both follow an extremely similar doctrine. I can't assess the K2 and the Type 99 because I don't have any real comparisons. But I would say anything with a red star has to be divided by 2 to get an acceptable result.

Isn't the T-99 the same tank that keeps breaking down at the international tank competition in Russia? Seems like something goes wrong or it places at the bottom every year, badly trained crews or is it the tank?
The tank still have some flaws. It is new and China doesn't have much experiencing with building tanks.
It was T96 at the Russia competition not T99A. T96 is the cheaper version for mass production. The newest model is T99A. Russia did not allow T99 to join the competition because Russians don't want T99 to win it.

It is heavier than e.g. the Leo 2 and the Leclerc but has an engine with 300 fewer horsepower than both, thus making it much slower than the two. How is that better?

What I've heard from anyone who has served in, or worked on Abrams tanks, it sounds like they are piles of crap. Reading war stories, they were missing half of the equipment and hardware that they were supposed to have, and the other half wasnt hooked up or working. They guzzle gas like no other, and don't like sand and heat. Historically, the US isn't exactly renowned for making quality tanks. They just make a LOT of them.
T14 Armata has a poorly armored turret, such a tank is easy to eliminate on the battlefield. Plus a weak engine and not proven in battle autoloader. In theory and in parades it is beautifully, worse in combat.
It is not yet known what K2PL will ultimately be like

The T-14 has not shown up for battle in the Russo-Ukraine War.

Yeah, your complaint has all the sense, because you point to the T14 but you said nothing about a mockup tank likes the Panther, that don't have any operational prototype running in anywhere.

In real. The best tank is a cheap, massive, relatively light and simple tank, with the possibility of field repairs and movement on civilian bridges and roads.

It depends entirely on the characteristics of the conflict: geographical context, technological means of the enemy, availability of spare soldiers, …
By that logic the T-34 should be the best tank of ww2 yet it was incredibly cramped, hard to use(crew were practically blind) and the USSR lost nearly 90% of 50000+ made during the war. It was hard to survive too compared to US or german tanks since it sacrifised escape hatches for sloped armor which didnt even do its job properly contrary to what tank documentaries would have you believe. It broke down more often than the tiger too yet you never hear about it.

Leclerc is a Rolls Royce, Leopard is a 4x4. You don't to war with a Rolls Royce, that's why Leopards are the most common and the ones Ukraine is asking for. Even if the Leclerc is better in every aspect.
Leopard isn’t that good as they can be defeated by RPGs. Considering what is being sent ..it’s all going to be 1 to 10 or far more than that ratio in favour of t Russian Army that is massing possibly 600’000 men at the moment. It was a Challenger 1 who holds the longest tank on tank kill.
The Challenger 2s Armour has not been defeated but all the optics were destroyed and it did loss both tracks. But the crew were all safe. The Tank was recovered by the Reme and they did the recovery under fire.

Well, the thing which surprised me the most in this video is the fact she doesn't say a word on the huge advantage the Leclerc XL has on his counterparts.
He's the only tank which can shoot at full speed, on every type of terrain with 98% accuracy meanwhile all the others must slow down near halfspeed and only have 50%.
It's not the best tank but shouldn't be 7th on this list.
Abrams can shoot accurately on the move as well, it's got smart stabilization.
