    This was the best tutorial for this helmet, and it was pretty detailed. One problem I faced was that the hide button (H) didn't hide the faces. It just made the face not able to be clicked. Like, I would press H and then I wouldn't be able to click the "hidden" faces but I still would see them. How would I fix this?

    trying this with the new version of blender. is it possible that the way the F2 tool works changed? it seems to be making triangles. Not sure it could also just be me not using it right. Does is there a difference between filling and manually extruding and snapping the vertices? thats the way im following along

    • @tamicoker
      @tamicoker  Před 2 lety

      I just tried the addon in Blender 3.0, it seems to be working the exact same, if you're getting a filled triangle as opposed to a fourth vertex, it may be that you've selected 3 vertices and used the default fill function. Select the middle vertex, and [press 'f', that's how it should work

      after adjusting the topology of the mask, I moved on to the band on the back of the helmet and found a simpler way than what is stated here by using the spin tool. Select the edge, click on the spin tool and rotate to the back of the helmet, done.

    I would like to know some ways to create helmets in this situation, it would help me out a lot!

    • @tamicoker
      @tamicoker  Před 2 lety

      Most important thing is PATIENCE, you're a beginner, so don't expect to make the result you hoped for on the first attempt. I recommend following many tutorials, like this one, to accumulate skills and learn the software better. Experiment by deviating from the tutorials, do your own thing. Then, once you feel ready, start the dream project. It will be difficult to make a model without proper reference images, however it is still attainable, it's within your capacity, but you have to be patient and dedicated.
