Closer look at the motherboard here: czcams.com/video/4uW0sYZiIVc/video.html
This case is absolutely incredible. I hope they keep making small cases with even more drive bays.
verry good cable management. Respect! :)
Got one running in an Supermicro 721tq-350b2
2 x Kingston KSM32ES8/16ME ECC UDIMM at 2600Mhz for 32GB runs perfect Multibit EEC
4 x 16Tb Toshiba MG8 (Sata) 2x SDD Crucial MX500 1 x C300 Crucial (yeah from 15 years ago) on the Slimsas 4i
IOCrest m,2 to Intel 2.5G network Takes 41W in idle. at the wall.
Very nice build
Gigabyte MJ11-EC1 is basically unobtainium.
I just bought 3 of them in Europe. What's impossible to get is a BIOS update for them 🤪
Hi,
Does your system now run? Does this adapters which you link in description work? Im asking because SlimSAS 8i on this motherboard is very picky about adapters and I need to run 2xSFP+ card which need 8x PCIe...
My plan is to buy 2 of this board and in each of them run:
2x U.2 NVME SSD(One in M.2 slot and one in 4i slot)
2x SATA HDD
1x 2xSFP+ Network card in SlimSAS 8i
The only thing i don't get working is the HD let from the board :P
That IPMI is awesome.. since i got NOTHING anymore with a "VGA" connector :P
It runs TrueNasScale.
What i am still going to buy is a 8i to 2x u2 so i can use my Intel 750 as system drive. (no space not going fiddle getting my 10Gbe in)
@whcvip thanks.
Regarding this board, what do you do with a full 8 hard disk and SSD in addition for the OS?
I am just a little bit concerned about the power consumption. Would have really hoped for 40Watts. Maybe without the gpu and 10gb ethernet card there would be a significant improvement? When there are 8 HDD's loaded im scared of the actual consumption
I used a M.2 to Sata adapter instead and replaced the fans with NF-A8 and NF-A9
godt arbejde
What da heck! Arnold Schwarzenheimer is building a NAS!
Well, if he was from Denmark I suppose.. I suspect a danish accent there :)
Thanks for the review. Can this case support flex PSU?
Not out of the box.
