Hahaha this is brilliant. It’s like a comedy sketch. Can’t say I ever noticed it when she was in the show but seems pretty much the whole of summer bay had done a shift in the diner at some point. Even school kids on their lunch break weren’t exempt.

Yeah I remember that, she gave Irene a six pack of Jack Daniels, a cask of moselle and a packet of Winnie Reds after which there were no hard feelings.
That's because it was just a front for an arms smuggling operation run by Irene and Ailsa sending weapons to Irene's second cousin twice removed. he was some guy named Saddam who lived in the Middle East that finally got written out of the show in 2003 after he apparently suffered some sort of serious neck/spinal injury.
Wish you could find the episode where Jack was in the boot during Damian and Shane watching the Amazon slave women as Angel put it back then! It was a brilliant episode ✌
The one where Jack got into bed with Fisher was better but he had to leave when Flathead told him that he actually wasn't the local Boy Scout leader. If he was in Ailsa's boot he was lucky he didn't end up in Alf's cage as happened to many others who were lured in there under false pretences.
Bobby always looked peed off and she always looked like a lesbian too, as well as always dressed like a guy. You have to remember that this was in the days before gender affirming care. She/he/zee is apparently a lot happier these days.
This is a bit unfair on Ailsa, she kept having to duck out because Alf never got that lock on the cage properly fixed, which wasn't such a big problem until his 'cousin' Ivan went to jail and then things just got to be a bit too much for him even with Mr Kelly's help on the weekends before he too went to jail. The Stewart family Gunny sorted out most of these issues that Ailsa had to 'just duck out' from the Diner for, but it did get a bit hairy there on a few occasions until Duncan was old enough to help out the old man. He really liked playing with Gunny and was in fact so good at the old family game of backpackers and tourists that he hunted them into extinction and had to move interstate to find himself a fresh crop.
Ailsa was no goody. There was a dark energy about her and she always treated alf badly. Were her and alfs marriage legal seeing as Martha, roos mother wasn't actually dead. Don't like her. She, Martha, lied to them and actually doesn't treat alf well either. There's no point to her
Roo should have had her mother present when the news came out about her being up the duff in 1988.Excuse me for seeing a similar story from about the same era on Degrassi Junior High but what kind of Girl doesn't have their parent present when the bad news comes out and they don't have a parent to support them along the way.
What do you expect from a hardened ex con who did a long stretch for murder and that rumour suggests ran the jail with an iron fist alongside Joan Ferguson? Heck, she taught Alf everything he needed to know to open his own very lucrative backpacker and tourist 'permanent' accommodation cage.
I'd be afraid to ever go in the diner to eat in case Ailsa forced me to "look after the place for half an hour".
