First saw Danny at aftershock and i knew he had a gift. Just a man and his guitar and banjo with the crowd. It may seem daunting playing alone but he is so kind. Met him in a record shop in Santa Cruz. Buy his stuff and share!

I saw you last night at the Regent in LA, and your show (with your openers as well - Twin Temple) was one of my top shows I've been to this year. You are /hilarious/ and a talented musician + so honest and passionate. Yeah, but Dead South are hitting stadiums now so I'm not sure I'd put them in the same camp anymore, even though they literally JUST toured together.
I mean they're both subgenres of American folk music.. same vein just different needles to deliver the poison
Having said that... I've traveled the farthest from my home state of California to Nashville to see amigo the devil live with Harley Poe then shortly after drove to reno from California to see them again on the same tour.. absolutely amazing.. met amigo in the crowd in Nashville and immediately recognized him. He's a really sociable dude.
One of the best artists I discovered this year along with Mean Mary and The Dead South.
