I'm so sorry to hear about Zoe, I didn't know.(please give Kelly my condolences, I'm so sorry. OMG. The loss of 2 dogs in such a short time.and poor Kobe must be missing his bro and sis too. thanks Rocky, thanks to the shelter, thanks to the person who found bear and took him to the shelter, thanks to the lady who washed Shadowmoon, thanks to the kind food company and finally thanks to his new forever home. Shadowmoon looked such a lovely temperament from the moment you entered the cage. It always amazes me how much dogs still want to love from the get-go even when they have been so neglected.
He was so unbelievably well behaved during his grooming! Even with all the activity and loud noises, he was just an absolute peach. And he looked so beautiful after!

He was so happy to get that bath and the hands touching him and the care and affection she gave him. My hearts has officially melted for him.
I noticed that, too! He just melted when she was gently washing his back and legs, and loved the head and ear scruffs! Such a beautiful dog....he melted my heart from the start!
He perks up when he sees Mel in Rocky's videos, she clearly made a great impression!
The sweetest touch as he was bathed, he could feel the love...wonderful!
The former owner should have been prosecuted for ANIMAL CRIMES, NEGLECT AND CRUELTY for intentionally starving this innocent and precious dog 🐕!!!!!

Bear was not just emaciated, he was shown no care whatsoever, given the condition of his skin. Thank the fates that he is saved now. He's such a lovely dog.
Vizsla is an amazing breed. Very loving and sensitive. Thank you Rocky. I found your channel by accident. I have a 7 years old female vizsla.
I like the Visla as well. This dog is mostly Doberman though. They are very sweet.
@@ed7519 I beg to disagree with you. My family has over ten of these dogs since the mid 1970’s as well as a few Dobermans. The flesh colored nose and every other marker in this dog scream Viszla. It should ne noted that the Dberman is a much newer dog than the Vizsla and could in fact descend from the Vizsla in part but more likely from the German Short Haired Pointer and some other type of dogs.
@@ed7519I agree with the others, this dog looks like a Vizsla. I commented on the first video that this dog looked Vizsla. The shelters can only guess on breeds and generally they are wrong a majority of the time. I adopted a dog that was according to them a cattle dog and he actually turned out to be a giant Great Dane mix. Looked more like a Catahoula leopard dog.
I actually chest checked out the instagram page and yes, even the shelter said he was a vizsla mix. Not sure why this guy said Doberman in his original video.
The breed is very low in importance here. What is important is that he is clearly a gentle, loving and intelligent dog worthy of the best home he could live in. That said, I wonder what the original owner who chipped this dog did to mistreat him so badly and then give him up.
My Vizsla pushes her head into me all the time just like Shadow did to the woman washing him ❤

I've said it before but I must again note what a talented and truly caring groomer this person is. Unbelievable self-confidence and calm she gives to every pup.

One my dogs got lost for a month when I was a kid. She looked bad like this when we finally found her. He could have totally have been lost by a good owner. Our dog lived another decade after we found her and she never ran away again.
@@claudiasmith1600 this is natural/common vizsla personality trait. One of my Vizslas was similar in personality.

A place where they will have lots of space to run and play. Even I don’t find new homes for them they will be loved and well cared for the rest of their lives.

Shadow Moon is in his glory! A very heartfelt thank you to the family who adopted him.
My husband and I love all animals, but especially dogs. Unfortunately we don't have a dog yet. I am having a difficult time getting another dog, after loosing our Shelby. She was my daughters dog, until we lost her. Loosing Shelby was like loosing my daughter all over again. So I have had a very hard time wondering if I can love again, knowing what will eventually happen again.
This video has made me rethink this. For these dogs, any amount of good life is a great thing. I think I can give them that. And the 10-15 years we get with them will be so worth it all. Thank you❤

As a Hungarian I can tell you, your first and last pronunciation of the breed "vizsla" is spot on.

Rocky, I just wanted to say…. I had insomnia for a few nights while I had a stomach bug. I was miserable and so restless. But I found your channel for the first time and binge watched all your videos. Sad and happy tears distracted me from the tummy pain.
You do an AMAZING job. You don’t get these kind of opportunities where I am in Scotland. It’s fundraising and adopting but no interaction with dogs during your free time. I wish we did, I’d love doing what you do xx

He looks just like a Vizsla. My Vizsla just passed. His color, cinnamon eyes, pink nose and size is just like the Vizsla. Usually if a mix they have a dark nose. I love this breed! I cannot image anyone doing this! The new owners gave him a wonderful name “Shadow moon” ❤ thank you for the update!

He's not a vizsla. Vizslas doesn't have marks, they are solid in color. And his ears are too small. Still super cute dog. But most likely a mix.

I just watched the first video of "Bear", I was so happy and thrilled to learn that he was not given back to his previous owner. So overjoyed to see that he was adopted, looking much healthier & happier. Atta boy Shadow - a big thanks to you and the individual(s) whom adopted Shadow! Hi, I am also allergic but I have a Cavapoo, part King Charles Cavalier and part Poodle, she has hair not fur and is hypoallergenic. I also take care of my daughters rescue dog which I am allergic to but I love him so much I don't care so its one loparidimide (24 hr non-drowsy allergy) pill a day and I am fine. I love all dogs.
can second that, sister was allergic to dogs, we had two poodles growing up because of it.
Same here, I have a Shi Tsu/ miniature poodle mix. No problems.
Get allergy shots. Well worth it!
Get the shots or T least check with your insurance and see if they'll do a copay. Then look for a doodle. They don't have as much dander.

We had a visula that lived in our neighborhood, and she was the doggone smartest dog I ever knew. Very friendly, and she built an extended family for herself by visitingall of us neighbors almost every day. They are great dogs, and I am so glad Bear found a loving home. And has a shiny new name!
We had a beautiful little girl vizsla and we still miss ruby, she was soooo smart and alot of fun ❤

Shadow Moon is definitely a Visla! He has the “Mark of the Hound” on his face. It is the same markings that Doberman’s have, that’s how he was ID’ed as a Doberman. There are a few other breeds that can have this trait show up. Weimaraner, Dachshund’s and Visla’s are a few of them. Plus these are all closely related and developed in same area of the world. These are a sensitive breed that become very attached to one person, so I understand his distress. It was a sad situation, but it looks like the right person adopted him and gave him the family he needed. That is wonderful! Yay!
I still think he is a Vizsa mix. Mostly because of his black nails. Even if a Vizsla can have the type of shadowing you mention, and I've just not seen it, their nails are the same color as their coat. But I think Shadow Moon is a gorgeous pup no matter his breeding. Having a Vizsla in your life makes life much more fun and interesting! 😊

My current dog, and my two previous dogs were all adopted from a local No Kill Shelter. All 3 were great pets. My current dog, Elsa is my first pit bull, and she is the most loving, well-behaved dog I have ever known.
