Good video, had fun with you guys. Buicks rock ! We did a road trip to antique archeology in LeClaire Iowa last summer in my Grand National , great time everyone was giving us a 👍 .
Those pins on your jacket... Wow, what a great dad you are! Makes me think back to the 63 Impala and the 70 Chevy Step-side that my dad clunked around in when I was a child. Despite Vietnam, he had a degree in machine shop and also auto mechanics and he drove accordingly. That means he drove " junkyard specials." He could buy a car for two hundred bucks in the late 70's early 80's and get there on time like everyone else- minus the car payment. He introduced me to Buicks early on with a 77 Skylark for my 15th birthday. It was junk as far as motor and all that but I got a 283 (best engine ever for the money) and built my first car. Three cars under my belt by the time he passed, but the experiences were priceless! Keep up the great work dad! ***Heater core went out on the Impala and my dad put a core from a refrigerator in the passenger floor board. It warmed my feet so bad we had to open the windows in mid winter- but it worked and we did not freeze, not even for a second!
We learned more in this video about the sites you showed Vlad, such as the dam, the waterfall, etc! Always learn so much from your postings. The real deal! A perfect co-pilot helping you out. The Buick does have a limited slip, or 'Positive Traction' as Buick called them. That 1967 Ninety-Eight was a nice car to see on the transport. 425 Rocket power!
Another great video. I've got a 66 Mustang, 67 Firebird, 78 T/A that I've built over the years and you've got me thinking I better quit looking at them in the garage and go on some road trips this summer, just like it was the 80's again. Stay safe.
My dad bought a 1966 tempest brand new had that 265 overhead cam engine needed a valve job at 40 k kept burning valves but anyway thanks for sharing your trip
ASSUME VIDEO Perry Mason, someday when my little man gets older. Were going to take a road trip like this to the Salem OR area. Got a Dodge Polara 65 down there garaged.
I'm very intrested in how the oil comsumption drops now that you replaced all the old dried up valve seals. Father and Son Trips are things to remember all your life...
Next time you're in Lincoln, checkout the SAC Air and Space Museum. It's just east of town in Ashland. They have a lot of cool planes, with an SR-71 Blackbird greeting you at the front door. Safe journeys.
If you're worried about your headers leaking,I have to recommend those thick graphite gaskets. I can't remember what company I used, but out of the three different kinds I've tried on the Pontiac, those ones are the only ones that have been leak free from the beginning and I still haven't had to retorque those impossible header bolts.
Awesome getting little man into muscle cars .my dad got me into muscle when I was similar Age. Nice to see there will be yet another gen of hot rodders
Great memories, I went over Hoover in a tractor trailer back when they were allowed across. The Dalles is a awesome area and the desert cities at night are beautiful. Thought for sure the valve seals would slow the oil down, I think you should build a car dolly, rear wheels and axles off a FWD Pont, olds or buick great content and then I would have a plan to go off =-)
Hey man, just wanted to say I just watched your hydraulic throwout bearing video and I’m doing a hydraulic throwout on my valiant with a big block Mopar and a TKO behind it. Thank you for the video very informative and helpful. If you have any tips let me know reply and let me know haha. Thanks.
Manual is much better. I love hopping in the buick and just cruising but I can always straight lock a manual if I need to, which I can't do with an auto... an auto will let you down if so much as a stupid plastic gear decided to burn up. Which it did. On a manual trans I can grenade all the gears inside and still make it home by removing everything and using direct drive...
This is a great video, love the scenery and dad / son road trip. I saw this video on Nicks Garage a while back, and I immediately thought of you. If you haven't seen it, its a must see. Over 500 hp and 540 ft/lbs torque, sounds great. it's worth watching the dyno tests. I never miss a Nicks Garage video, ever. czcams.com/video/AT5vdJou-vs/video.html
This is what it's all about, right here. I love that Beast is back to doing what it was built to do after sitting all those years.
Hands down the most useful car I've owned. Eats oil, but that's only because it's pretending to be a diesel when it rolls coal up hills...

Nice! Thanks for watching.
for us that can´t go away from home, it´s a pleasure follow this guy and his adventures, he would like to be in home, we want to be in the road.
Thank you.

Yeah those badges mean the world to some people, and nothing at all to others. Thanks for sharing your story.

Yeah the trip was great.
Very cool water fall and I thought I recognized your neighborhood .
You are a good dad ,take good care of all
Central California watching
Not the best by far, but I do what I can. Thank you

Yup! Life's too short to drive boring cars.
I can bet that You are a hero to your oldest boy
Hopefully. I love my family.
I wish my dad would have taken me on a trip like this when I was a young.
Hopefully my kids remember this well.
@@InvincibleExtremes Do you still have the Firebird, I'm still loving my 68 bird.
This is what good parenting looks like.
Not perfect but doing our best.
My dad bought a 1966 tempest brand new had that 265 overhead cam engine needed a valve job at 40 k kept burning valves but anyway thanks for sharing your trip
Crazy, my Pontiac engines never burned valves. Great engines overall.
You had me subbiñ at the firebird pullin a trailer!! NW roadtrippin, I dig it
Thanks!
Pretty scenic cruise video, I dig it!
Yeah we had lots to see.
ASSUME VIDEO Perry Mason, someday when my little man gets older. Were going to take a road trip like this to the Salem OR area. Got a Dodge Polara 65 down there garaged.
That's awesome to hear. Hope you have some adventures with your family soon too.

With 3.23 gears and worn rings it's livable but only if I go slow.
America is a beautiful country, thanks for sharing your adventure. 😊
It is indeed.
Next time you're in Lincoln, checkout the SAC Air and Space Museum. It's just east of town in Ashland. They have a lot of cool planes, with an SR-71 Blackbird greeting you at the front door. Safe journeys.
Yeah I'll have to take the kids one day.
Oh yes road trips with Dad we had a 1967 Ford country squire 390 C-6 9 inch mom sent me with to keep him awake but I remember.
Yup!
That's badass!! Your son will always remember trips like this with you.
I agree. It's been awhile since you've done a road trip.
Hope all is well. Happy Motoring.
Yup! Thanks!

Yeah I'll see. Didn't have too good luck with headers on my pontiac.
FLAT TOWING SUCKS AT ANYTHING but low speed usually , looks like a great trip ocarena of time is my favorite!
Yeah this game was "links awakening" and it forces him to read more so we're ok with that.
Thanks for giving me future dad ideas
Any time spent with the family is a blessing.
Awesome getting little man into muscle cars .my dad got me into muscle when I was similar Age. Nice to see there will be yet another gen of hot rodders
He loves cars.
Right there with you on the knees & elbows thing. Roof top tent platform sounds epic.
Yeah one day I'll build or buy one.
Hey mate loved the bonnet latch
It works for now.
@@InvincibleExtremes yeah bro that's it mate use what you can that's for sure
Great video and road trip. Your son is going to be talking about this trip for quite a while. Very nice. Safe home. Happy Motoring.
We do many trips. Hoping to get some racing in this summer.

Fwd car dolly type thing wouldn't be a bad idea actually.
We have a 73 Pontiac grand safari. We named it Nimitz...
Yeah the clamshell wagons are slightly bigger than this 70 buick
I love how little dude has to sit up to see out the window !
Yeah it's a huge car.
I want to buy your wagon!!! How much?? "Not joking"
Привет все классно 👍👍👍
Thanks!
" But- anyways- I digress". Vlad- I disagree- anything you can share is knowledge gained. Thanks
I do what I can.
Stage 8 locking fasteners will permently fix header leaks, or if you're willing to put extra time in use lockwire.
Yeah lock wire would work.

Thanks! I don't know everything but I share what I can.
Maybe it's time for a rebuild on the old 455 Buick wagon.
Long overdue. That's what the pontiac tempest ls for... to replace it as a daily and allow us to pull the buick and redo it.
My Grandfather helped build the Hoover Dam.
He built an awesome structure.
Amazing that after 85 years the concrete isn't cured yet, they figure about 125 years to fully cure.
And on the eighth day God created BUICK! And he really spread His love upon the Medic core.
Didn't do no dam fishing? Lol.
Cousin Eddie Vegas vacation reference. 😂
Cool video
Maybe one day lol.
@@InvincibleExtremes heard theres enough concrete to pave a 4 lane interstate coast to coast. Never seen the dam. On my bucket list. Lol
hey bud what are you going to do a live video and good luck with this trip with your son
Thanks! Not sure when, maybe one of these days.
9:18 is the Walmart parking lot in Ontario, OR. The freeway around here is lumpy, and it does make a guy think a tire is coming loose or something.
Yeah, I honestly think the bushings on my control arms were causing the vibration.
You just need an estate, as a Buick accessory.
Yeah pretty much
How do you like the automatic vs standard trans for towing/road trips?
Manual is much better. I love hopping in the buick and just cruising but I can always straight lock a manual if I need to, which I can't do with an auto... an auto will let you down if so much as a stupid plastic gear decided to burn up. Which it did.
On a manual trans I can grenade all the gears inside and still make it home by removing everything and using direct drive...
I wonder, could dropping gallons of oil all across the roads of our country be considered littering? Perhaps an engine rebuild might be a good idea?
That's what the 67 tempest is for. Putting it on the road, then rebuilding the 455
Seems like it could use Hood Pins.
Long term plan is to fix the hood latch. So I'm not planning on doing hood pins at the moment
Needs a blower out the hood lol
Or at least an exhaust that let's the 455 sing it's song proudly.

Yeah these 455 buicks kick butt.
