Andromeda I 100% agree. I’ve been dealing with SEVERE allergies. Causing bloody snot and bloody mucus draining to the back of my throat. They say nasal spray. I’ve gotten more relief from using steam and salt and warm water. Of course using all of that WITH the nasal spray has helped. But not just spray alone? And she literally was like “I’m not going to prescribe anything for allergies YET” when I’ve been dealing with this for over 6 months. Like wtf? I have swelling and pain in my sinuses. I live in Maine and the air is incredibly dry. They also wanted me to buy a fuckin air purifier. Like people can just go out and buy shit like that. Would have been nice to get something for allergies instead of all this over the counter shit. But I have gone back to natural stuff like the steam and salt water and stuff like that. It works really really well. And that wasn’t suggested to me by my doctor. I read about it online. I’ve already had a CT scan done, a full blood work up. And the whole nine yards. Including being treated with strong antibiotics. That insurance wouldn’t pay for ! Lol. So the doctor isn’t always the best. And for all we know she could have gone and tried many different things. She did mention trying a few other things that didn’t work very well. Sinus shit definitely sucks and for anyone struggling with that I hope you get well soon!!!!

lol i get most of these treatments from my indian mother whenever i have a cold or something... some of these can be effective, namely inhaling steam, massage the face when you have lots of sinus congestion, ghee drops in the nose are sometimes helpful for me.. also i read about using an electric toothbrush and moving it over your jaw and cheekbone to help mucus in your sinuses loosen up & sometimes that works. of course with someone having such severe and chronic congestion i think this is maybe some nice symptomatic relief but definitely not sufficient. aryuveda is not really proven medical treatment & i get the appeal (especially when doctors can be dismissive about this stuff) but i hope she can see an ENT and maybe identify a cause & treat it

I think the problem is nasal sprays. After 5 days those nasal sprays start drying the mucosa and make artificial clogging in the nose. It would turn okay after two or three weeks after if she doesn't use it. Some doctors do not say that but never use anticongestive nasal sprays more than 5 days.
