It's OK to look lighter! It's winter. I don't think non medium brown people understand how much our skin changes color. We get darker and lighter constantly.
I agree I mainly just said that cause I really don’t promote skin lighting and I don’t want the brown girlies to think I got this procedure to look lighter 😭
ohhh yeahhhhh sameee. like I'm brown but more on the airer side and goshhhhhhh it changes real fast. one night I look super fair and the next day I'm black!(compared to the night soo)
Once a guy asked me why do you edit some of your pictures but not all, I was like I change skin shade depending upon the season I don’t edit to make me darker or lighter 😂😂😂
I know! I’m half Indian, so in the summer I tan a bunch to the medium shades in makeup, and then in the winter I lighten to what usually ends up being the lightest shade in makeup.
Wow your skin is looking so much better. I might keep these treatments in mind for big events like my birthday or my friends wedding not for acne or hyperpigmentation but just anti-aging and that super glow.
Highly recommend trying big treatments like this way ahead of time, you might have a reaction you don’t expect and that would SUCK right before a big event!
As a fellow ex acne-scars-PIH-PIE sufferer, I' m vicariously enjoying the process. So deeply happy to see how, after so many years of skincare and good habits, these ATO procedures are giving you the skin you deserve. 🧛🏻♀️🖤 #insciencewetrust
Ur videos are really helpful because I’m also brown! Also, I’m sure ur skin will look amazing at the end of the treatment! Also, thank you for displaying my comment! U r my fav content creator and it means a lot!!
Wow that’s amazing I love how glowy and bright the treatment made your skin, I have a lot of redness and hyperpigmentation so I might do this treatment too
Hey girl !! Which peel is this ? Please mention the name on top next time, the captions get hidden under the title. Also thanks so much for finding best products and treatments for our brown girl family!!! Love you
my friends shedding lasted more than 7 days, i would never try this, i don’t have the patience for when the shedding process. hope it actually helps your issues, but it’s not for everyone
I might honestly need one of these, because a few months ago when we got to the beach, I ended up more of a tan skin even though I'm pale skin.. and its still not going away :( Anyways, can I just say you look gorgeous!
This is really good info!! I missed my shedding these last two months I didn’t know I could go and get it done manually🤍 hopefully this gets my cycle back on track!
Hey Monica I have been watching your videos for a long time now and absolutely love every single one of them. Could you please share a brown girl friendly makeup look with Indian products that are affordable?
People don't realise alot of us when we go for skin brightening we are actually trying to get our skin to go back to its original tone. Over time brown skin can hyperpigment especially if not taken care of properly. I know colourism exists and I am not tone deaf to that as there are people out there that do certain prcedures to look whiter. But many of us don't do it for that reason, we just don't want hyperpigmentation. Which you can get a lot easily with tanned skin. I got this peel done too due to darkness on my upperlip and forehead. It has worked wonders and I am so pleased with the results.
I had a light chemical burn accident all over my arms months ago. The healing process was painful, miserable, and itchy, but my arms are hella soft and clear now 💀
@@farznish I get The Perfect Derma Peel w/ hydroquinone (for hyperpigmentation) and it cost $365 not including tip. I live in San Francisco. I think different markets charge different amounts. It stings a little bit going on, but once it dries it fine. The peeling process can be uncomfortable for some. It’s kind of like Brazilian waxing…some people are fine, and others act like they are about to die.
I was recommended to get this procedure but the whole idea freaked out but after seeing yours, I just might :)) thanks! What aftercare did they prescribe and how long does it take for the new skin to look like the old one, if that can happen at all? Is your skin more sensitive to light after?
Definitely on the light side for phenol peel, some of the pics I’ve seen online of old white women with half an inch thick skin peeling off are pretty scary… I say white because doctor can use a very strong chemical on white skin btw
I actually say chemical peel is a good option compared to micro needling which might not be safe , i just saw a video where a woman redeveloped her acne
looks amazing. see im Romanian and in the winter im so light and in the summer my skin is almost like my husbands. its crazy . with people know how brown skin worked
It's OK to look lighter! It's winter. I don't think non medium brown people understand how much our skin changes color. We get darker and lighter constantly.
Oh believe me we all do. I've skin much lighter than Monica and I change skin tones every winter even if I spent the summers indoors! It's so strange.
I agree I mainly just said that cause I really don’t promote skin lighting and I don’t want the brown girlies to think I got this procedure to look lighter 😭

Just be sure to try out new treatments wayyy before new events. You don't want to have a bad reaction right before a big event.
@@thedorkettereads6052 Especially with chemical peels. Because if they go wrong, they go VERY wrong

I would be so tempted to peel the skin I really would 😂
It is tempting but it will leave a scar so not worth it.. and it hurts so bad when you pull it
i have an issue with pulling my dead skin, im literally gonna have to do a full psychological b4 doing this lol

Where did you get your chemical peel? Do you know if it’s safe for sensitive skin?
How often is it recommended to get this peel? Like one and done or follow-up treatments recommended?

why are other chemical peels not safe for brown skin? /genq
As a filipina in canada I can confirm that my skin looks drastically different during summer and winter
I’m so happy for you
Ooh I would love to try that with acne scaring 😮
Love this so darn good❤
Im thinking of doing this probably I'll do it with few weeks
How did you cleanse your face? Did you clean it gentle or have to pat?
For how many days this treatment stays on your skin ? Or is it permanent?
I had a light chemical burn accident all over my arms months ago. The healing process was painful, miserable, and itchy, but my arms are hella soft and clear now 💀
May I know which product did you use?
What is the name of this peel again, please? Thanks!
Was it a light, medium, or deep chemical peel?
I wouldn’t be able to do this. I pick at my skin too much.
Would u just continue with ur skincare as per usual during this? Or change it?
THE EARRINGS!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍
Oh wow! That's great ❤
Does it help in reducing open pores?
I have my annual peel scheduled for next week. It is amazing the results you get each time 👍🏾
What's the average cost? And, does it hurt?

What percentage did you do and how many passes ?
I actually say chemical peel is a good option compared to micro needling which might not be safe , i just saw a video where a woman redeveloped her acne
How do you wash your face during the peeling?
Can this buy online ?
How often should a person do this?
I would do this, not just because of my hyperpigmentation, but because the skin on the sides of my face is pretty rough and has a lot of dead skin.
What type of peel is this?
I heard that chemical peel will look good when done but it damages the skin makes our skin even bad and sensitive after some years. Is that true?
what kind of peel?
What TCA percentage did you have done ? Was it 35 percent ?
When you say you can wear make up , is it like a full face with foundation or????
Can chemical peels be uses on intimate areas (i.e. armpits/inner thighs) or just the face?
Honey it’s a skin colour that doesn’t affect how ur skin peels
Can you workout during this peeling
What's the name of the peel?
I couldn't do this, would be tempted to exfoliate all of it
