We made it across to Ireland on the overnight ferry from France. It is great to finally visit a new country after more than 15 months. Our first night in Ireland was spent on the shores of the Atlantic ocean next to the second oldest operational lighthouse in the world at end of the Hook Peninsula in Couty Wexford.

Dan and family, another well thought educational video. Here's hoping you can visit all the countries connected to Ireland.

You’ll love Ireland. Very nice people. The language is called Gaelic. Enjoy!

It's called Irish in English. If you are speaking it and refering to the language itself then it's called Gaelige. Similar to if you are speaking French, you call the language Francaise. But if you are speaking English, you would call it French. You wouldn't call it Gaelige while speaking English just like you wouldn't ask someone if they speak 'Francaise' when asking in English. If you are refering to Gaelic as a language in English, you are referring to the Scottish language. Colloquially and sometimes controversially, Irish is sometimes called Irish Gaelic. But calling it Irish is actually more accurate
