Loftus hall was given to the Loftus family in 1650. It was first Redmond Hall. I was tracing back my family line and found out this info. My ancestors actually built it. Blew my mind lol

Its strange to consider, but often when you have abandoned great halls and homes like this, the reason they become abandoned and left to rot, eventually leads to those legends just being that, a superstitious legend, but because of how long a legend can keep people away, it leaves such homes in such bad disrepair that nobody wishes to restore them.
So many cases of great homes and houses around the world with similar stories.

I've heard various versions of this story in different old houses in Ireland. In those days, having a family member with severe mental illness or intellectual disability was viewed with shame; many were sent to asylums where they languished for the rest of their lives.
That house is very very very beautiful, but is scary too...

For me the older the house is the more creepy and haunted it is. It especially creeps me out when it's from the 1000's or 1100's

I think that is why they always make up ghost stories around these old buildings! Mainly because of their spooky appearance. Also I know someone who visited Lotus hall he told me nothing happened it wasn't that creepy inside just a bit run down. He also mentioned the creaking of floorboards which of course is natural in really old buildings.

When I was there2 years ago bare in mind I never was there before but I knew where everything was the second I set foot in lady Anne’s room I was so upset I couldn’t breath I felt like my heart was broken. I knew where the baby was kept I don’t know why but I felt sadder the more I got closer to where it was found. The chapel gave me straight up something wasn’t right something evil went on vibes. I’ve experience with paranormal activity and I’ve never felt like I did that day. I had nightmares for 6 days after I’ll never forget them.

I don't think you've seen the Titanic's staircase if you think they look the same. As someone who has been fascinated with the Titanic since the '97, they don't look the same.

Actually, there were only 3 of those staircase in the world! One is said to be in Rome, one was in the Titanic and that one in Loftus Hall!!
Yep this is right. The staircases (3 in total) were designed by two brothers, who fought/ultimately died over who retained the rights/profits to the designs. As a result of the death the staircases were supposedly cursed. The one in the Vatican caught fire, the Titanic sank, and then remains Loftus Hall.....

AvSim that once happened to me. I once awoke in the night when an cold ghost's hand touched my left hand. His hand was SO COLD that the it sent shot of icy cold electricity through my nerves. It was colder than a freezer box. I was shocked from my hand up to shoulder joint. The hand that was touched went numb and cold. It took me 30 minutes to warm up my hand under my armpit and between my legs.

Most likely the "gentleman" had a foot deformity like a club foot ( which couldn't be operated on then of course) and the lady screamed and made a fuss of his "strange foot" and he got angry at her disgust and left. She was probably very religious and of a nervous disposition and got hysterical, which in those days resulted in many women being shut away in upstairs rooms.

Yeah creepy place , some terrible atrocities seem to have happened here , some of the old imperial owners were right cruel bastards who treated their Irish servants like slaves, especially women who as servants got pregnant and were locked up in a single small room.
