Episode 6 The Stars Our Destination: With the world in a state of panic following a momentous declaration, Wade gathers the world's greatest minds to prepare a defense plan.

    Who’s correct: Jin or Auggie?

    • @rachelvoiles9699
      @rachelvoiles9699 Před 2 měsíci +5

Team Jin, all the way. Auggie complains about what needs to be done but does it anyway. She’s constantly dogging Wade and Saul but she’s worse. She ultimately helped Wade kill those people on the boat and stays drunk. She lacks the emotional intelligence to understand her own feelings. Which is common in geniuses, and this group.

Neither. Both react differently to different experiences in relation to what's going on. How would Jin react if she had seen the count down in her head at the beginning of the show along with Wade using her product and her talent to kill people and have her see children's limbs on the shore as a result? Jin seems more proactive, but she hasn't been tortured by her experiences like Auggie is.
Saul was very useful as a character when he didn't have direct influence to the main story line... whoever was going off the rails, he provides massive emotional support and stayed by Will's side until he dies. This invests into his character being emotionally stable and morally righteous in whatever he faces next as a Wallfacer. It is a well woven group of characters who each add different dimensions and texture to what the primary story arc requires.

Jin all the way, we are at war for our survival as a species. In war there are casualties and by the way the folks on Judgement day were betraying Humanity. Auggie isn't willing to do what needs to be done.

      Jin.
Auggie doesn't have what it takes to save humanity.
(In all honesty, Jin will not have it, either, but I guess we'll see that in season 2 or 3...)

The best way you can tell the difference between book readers and those who've just watched the show is that show watchers don't like episode 6, while book readers love it. Infer what you want from this.

Why not both :) - Saul is main character for book 2 (hence the waiting around) and Raj is also Book 2 character (you'll be surprised at his development) and Jin, Jack, Will, Wade are actually book 3 characters. Auggie appears to be and will likely pull triple duty and play 3 different book characters. The main character for Book 1 (nanofiber scientist with countdown numbers), the main female love interest in Book 2 (geez, guess who is that lucky or unlucky guy) and main female supporting character in Book 3.

Saul was chosen as a Wall-Facer was because what Ye had told him.

The "inside joke" idea felt a bit like a Wallfacer concept, but the punchline "Don't play with God" also felt like a warning: Do not play with the San-Ti imo

My overall impression of the Oxford 5, not so good.
Jack Rooney, dropout and entrepreneur -- miscast comic relief
Jin Cheng, theoretical physicist -- was told not to use the VR headset, had an overall bad attitude
Auggie Salazar, nanotechnology expert -- miss congeniality was not, insufferable character
Saul Durand, physics post doc researcher -- plays a gifted scientist who is way too slow to connect the dots
Will Downing, physics teacher -- the only grounded character, too bad he was sacrificed in the name of a hail Mary plan to hand him to the enemy

That’s the point the trisolarans/ San-Ti can’t lie. They have NO concept of deception/trickery/lying because they communicate through thought/the mind. So they have no secrets. That’s why they did not understand when Mike Evan’s was explaining “Little Red Riding Hood”. When Evan’s told them that Humans lie, the San-Ti were confused/ scared and said they could not coexist with humans. Thus they ended ALL communication with Evans. It’s not until (SPOILER ALERT)‼️ the San-Ti intercept Ming/ Wills brain floating in space, that they experiment on the brain and learn about human deception/lying. Then shit gets REAL😂😂😂

@DoublePMedia You gotta look into the poisoning murder story of Lin Qi ("chee"), founder of Yoozoo gaming company (China); owner of the rights to 3 Body Problem trilogy. They gave Netflix the right to produce the series. The guilty was sentenced to death last week.
Isn't it ironic, don't you think? Where's the humanity in the distribution of a saga about humanity?
Yeah, push the button till it breaks!

Hoping to get a look at Singer's race. How do you do that, portray beings that are destroying actual dimensions then reconfiguring their whole race for a new existence and form in a lower dimension and what I got from that race is the core of their computers can track signals to star positions millions of "time grains" ago. They are not simply cleansing a Galaxy but all of them with their physics breaking engines.

i think you guys misunderstod the whole show, taking out the team in the panama canal was not about fighting the people who supported the aliens it was all about getting access to the recorded communications in order to understand what the aliens wanted.
that mission became necessary the moment they surmized that no one can stay in that ship all year round doing nothing unless they had a direct communication to the aliens.
The people also did not have to die, it became necessary after they realized there is no way of getting inside and still getting access to the recordings without alerting the people inside

    • @KaimukiKid69

Yes, which is why we wondered why it was a good plan to do this considering that the recorded communications could ALSO have been sliced in half.
