How to FIX CE-34878-0 PS4 Error Code & Fix Application and Software Crashes (Best Method!)

- Are you having problems with your PS4 getting an error code CE 34878 0??? This error code crashes applications like GTA, APEX LEGENDS and Fortnite and also, it crashes the system software causing it to run slower. The CE-34878-0 error code on the ps4 can be fixed. Playstation support states to fix this issue
"Close the application, install the latest system software and game update, and restart the system. If a PS Camera is connected to the system, remove it and reboot the system, then go to [Settings] [User] [Login Settings] and turn [Enable Face Recognition] off. If you have upgraded the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) in your console, please re-install the original HDD.
If the error occurs again, back up your saved data, and then go to [Settings] [Initialization] and choose [Initialize PS4]. If the error continues and occurs with every application, or as soon as the application starts, please contact PlayStation Support. Whatever you do, don't contact PlayStation support for help. I tried to get this fixed last year and the employee on the phone sounded like a drunk man from Newcastle, and he said I should receive a call in a day or so and it never came through.

Vladamir Makarov I think our consoles are just not powerful enough for how much this game is pushing. I heard low end PCs have to cap their frames and all that to get it to not lock the pc up. Nextgen truly can’t come fast enough lol

Vladamir Makarov nah that don’t matter. It’s just certain consoles. If your console over heated during playing it probably caused internal damage. I had a ps4 pro 1tb and I got it last year. Gamed endless hours then this game broke. Randomly some systems try to run this game harder than they can. I got a new slim 500gb. Just got it yesterday. Works like a charm on warzone

I tried lots of things to fixed mine. Try going to safe mode and do the upgrade software, then choose the one on through internet. After that go to safe mode again and rebuild database. My ps4 was working fine again after that

i fixed my problem i put my PS4 into safe mode did a database reset and it works fine now!

I've had this problem for months and I totally wiped my ps4 and deleted all my data and this error code still happened, so about 2 months later I decided to dismantle my ps4 and clean it all, when doing this I thought it wouldn't make a difference because it wasn't that dirty inside. Anyways I put it all back together and it's fixed! Over played for about 2 hours and it hasn't frozen once
I have noticed on 4k if you adjust sound and screen video output to 1080p the console doesn't run as hot but both black ops 4 and modern warfare makes my ps4 overheat and my ps4 controller broken, but my controller works fine on star wars and console does not overheat as much but had same ce-34878-0 error with that game also, going to give 1080p rather than 2160p a shot for a while and see if the errors return.

Final fix for me was rebuilding database in safe mode, turning off camera and voice recognition and changing some PS display settings. All at once so not sure which one it was.
Every time I try to play doom eternal, it keeps crashing for some reason. 😤 this has been happening for the past 3 weeks. Hopefully these methods will help.

Ever since the 8.03 update i have tried to initialize it. I have updated the system software EVERY time i get on, it takes 3+ plus hours to turn on. My games wont start. Ive deleted every game and redownloaded them and even when my games do start its 3 am and i cant even play them because i time out of the server

Update: it didn’t fix it. Matter of fact it froze as soon as the warmup ended and the match was about to begin smh. Back to the drawing board.

@@Injourney7 I ended up having to backup all of my saves to the cloud and getting a new hard drive. I went with a solid state drive and re-downloaded everything. I haven’t had the same issues since. Every now and again I’ll get an error message but nothing that completely ruined the game nor anything that has messed up my system.

Maybe it's just me; but checking for an update through the settings menu always showed that I had the latest version. However when I selected update system software from that menu that has the options like "rebuild database" and so on, it let me actually update.

Anything I’ve installed since receiving this error, works fine. Even after a full wipe and reinstall, MW still crashes and Madden 20 as well. FF7 works fine, Cities Skyline works fine, Dirt works fine.
Might need a new hard drive for your PS4. Typically when some games work and some don't it might be your PS4 is writing certain games to a part of your harddrive that is corrupt or has too many bad sectors(basically wear and tear).

I’d done this several times it didn’t work for me. I am sure this is really helpful to many, it just keeps occurring to me. I’ve even formatted the ps4 entirely. applied thermal paste change the original hard drive to a SSD and later back to the original and none work. I am stating to Think my ps4 was defective from the go.

Mine started with 2k, Is when it did the freeze thing where it freezes for a couple seconds and then after loaded up on cod and my PlayStation crashed, loaded it back up tried fortnite and now that’s all it does hopefully this works🤦♂️
Update: I ended up getting a new hard drive and it fixed the problem, hopefully this works for other people with similar issues.

Login with a different playstation account.
Start Breakpoint
Login with your normal Ubisoft Account.
Start the game.
When you are in control of your character go in the menu and log out.
Now start Breakpoint with your normal Account and Login to Ubisoft.
The problem should be fixed

When I get to safe mode and hit the PS button after I connect it to the console, nothing happens the light on the controller just blinks twice and goes off.
I'm pretty sure this was caused from an Huskie mod I've installed on skyrim. This issue began exact at this point. Well for me it is that but I bet this issue will happen on several ways. Thx for your Fixguide 👍
