Q&A: EMOVE Touring Scooter - What is the Range?

  • So this week I did a test to see what the range was on the scooter for someone like me. Depending on the outside temperature, how hilly your area, and how much more or little than my weight will determine some differences in your experience, but since these types of things are often tested with a 150# rider, I wanted to know what my real world range is on the scooter for my own peace of mind (and yours).
I also got a water bottle holder from Amazon that is super and very inexpensive (came as a two-pack). A link to purchase one is here: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08... (we got black).
Also, there's an odd brake issue where the brake cable comes out of the little holder that retains the housing. Some forums suggest to just tighten up the cable a whole lot so it can't work its way out, but I found that to not work for me. No matter how tight I made it, it'll still worm its way out, then you have to loosen the cable significantly to get it back in. My wife's scooter has a screw to retain that cable housing - my hope is I'll be able to get that cable housing retention screw and install it.

Those last 5 or so miles were slower for sure about 13-15 mph but not bad. Also if you’re lighter than 220 you should get more speed and range.

Brake line pop is a known problem per reviewers on the Voro website. Square bar was the old version.
Anyway, keep us updated on solution offered...

Talked with Voro - they’re sending the new part so my rear end is like my wife’s will be installed by Electric Avenue in Eugene where I bought it. You can actually buy either square or round on the Emove site so not sure one is older than another. Do like the round for adding accessories or GoPro

Yes the orange one is a newer model than purple

the purple has the newer rear drum hub according to the factory - the orange has the round handlebar which they still sell both on their website as an option - not sure one or the other is newer. I get the feeling they assemble the units as they have parts not sure if it's that organized... newer vs. older. I ordered both units at exactly the same time and they came from Fluid Freeride through our local shop.
