Rod bearings are a bitch, the low torque sucks, you gotta really rev the engine out. But overall this car is fast on a track. It was built for handling.

DCT is not an Automatic. The two work completely differently. I know most people would still prefer manual, but there is just no way you could shift faster than a DCT. I don't care how good you are at manual..And before all the hate comes, I drive an E39 M5 which is only available in Manual...So don't think I'm a manual hater.
ok, but can the computer shift the car for you? or do you have to physically shift it? a dct is just a faster shifting automatic transmission, takes no skill.
just ignore it.....I also do not understand why some people obey manual.. DCT is much better in performance, comfort, and gas mileage. Manual takes skills, but people who said manual better do not even own m3. Even many m3 owners agree that SMG or DCT is good, but some prefer manual for joy drive. That is it, but people here typing keyboards thinks manual is better in everything because it requires skill???? Nope, because they drive manual Civic. Manual is popular in the US only. (Europe has culture of manual cars, not like idiots obeying manual for skills)
what is the difference when ur in the driver seat. between a dct and a regular auto tranny? the car can have 10 clutches but if you arent doing the shifting the automatic tranny you have no skill and need the car to shift for you
Agreed...I have only owned manual cars for the last 12 years but the brand new Audi I just purchased is Auto/paddle and I made that choice and have no regrets
I just got an E92 320i a few weeks ago. And im already hooked. I never cared to much about cars but then i realized that i never really owned a real car until now. Hopefully i will be able to afford an M.
@cabm991 It has paddle shifters on the steering wheel which are actually pretty fun to use. I had a 335 like that. Gives you the feel of a manual with the benefits of an auto. Also, it's easier to launch than a traditional manual, so margin of error is lower if you're trying to race ;)

I can certainly be wrong here, but I believe that this one would be catagoried as a splitter because of the actual design. It appears to be open between the bottom of the bumper and top of the (said) splitter. Also the ends are flared upward. The absence of adjustment struts doesn't suggest it isn't a splitter. (if thats what you were thinking)
thats a sick ride...simple clean sounds awesome and its blacked out...what more can you ask for? only think id personally do it tint up the headlights and tail lights.
@lourke123 when in traffic it's stop and go, meaning a lot of work with 2 feet when manual. when auto you just lift off the brake. not to mention if your daily commute contains a lot of traffic, you're clutch will not last nearly as long, as it really wares down the release bearing.

Most sporty/custom exhausts are going to be louder because they are opened up and are designed for better airflow, and the exhaust on this m3 is sex

Its Called DKG (Doppel Kupplung Getriebe) and it has 3 modes (Paddle Manual) (Automatic) and on the gearshifter (manual)...
Story of my life at :32; I hate when people get mad just cause I slow down to avoid those damn bumps on my nice low ride lol!
Magnaflow and Hartge Exhausts sound good IMO :)
