What about The Sims? You get to live if you beat him in Rock Paper Scissors, and no matter the outcome, he'll hang around and be a wonderful guest in your home for awhile.

Or if you give him a death flower! I haven't tried this one yet, but I'm trying to get all the Sims in my home one so that when he comes around again I can take screencaps of them giving him a flower.
Also in the several times he's come to my current household (I'm trying to do a generational challenge and also people *keep dying on my lot* when they're zombies) he always hangs around for a while after. Usually chatting with people on the computer. Oh death.
Znijik Though the Sims 2 on PS2 was the best. Instead of Rock, Paper, Scissors, you challenged him to an epic violin playing contest! And in the meantime, your sim is still playable as they float around haunting everyone else as a freaking ghost! The best Sims game ever... Though Sims Castaway for PS2 comes close
Znijik And even after he takes the soul of the dead Sim he can still get the live ones pregnant so it's like he replaces the one he took.....kinda...in a weird way.
When crossing the River Styx into Hades, ALWAYS tip Charon the ferryman. If you displease him, you run the risk of being dumped where they keep all the Nazis and the people who sent Candy Crush invites.

Death was one of my favorite DIscworld(the book series) characters. Never played the Discworld game but I might need to remedy that.

Oh come on. You forgot the sims. My sim literally just ordered a drink a while ago and I ended up getting the achievement "Hello Darkness, My Old Chum" for befriending the grim reaper.

Other case:
The Reaper from Neverwinter Nights, Underdark Expansion.
He basically keeps you from ever dying.
Desite being forced into that role by the main villain, he is very helpfull. Going as far as telling you that with his true name, you can free him and get your revenge.

He also appears in the original story discworld point and click adventure game. So they could have included him! (Shame it isn't playable on modern computers because they lack a few very specific windows 95 files)

Love the inclusion of Discworld's Death. That game was how I was introduced to Discworld("Eric Idle voices a wizard, cool!" was my first reaction) and now it is my favorite book series. RIP, Terry Pratchett.

The Death in AdventureQuest 3D is pretty nice
He's locked out of his home: The Underworld, by the bad guy and needs to get in to feed his cat.
Death in the original AQ was pretty cool too. You could do him a favor, or you could just go back to being alive. No sweat!

toongrowner1 Your opinion if it's bad. I think that is a little clonky, but altogether it has a great plot and it is fun to play. And also they could possibly not heard enough about it, they could not hear about it all together, or they could possibly not like it themselves.

Because in the Sims 3 when a Sim dies of old age he is a jerk to them before reaping them by holding an hourglass that can save their life right above their head but when they try to reach for it he Yanks it away and reaps them... That is to jerkish

Eh... not as much as you'd think. I mean, all it does is tell you is that Death is a character who shows up, and that they're probably nicer than you'd expect, in this video's case, so... I mean, for a couple of these, they show up pretty damn early in the game, so it's not really much of a spoiler anyway.

I think I remember seeing the Discworld Death in that game you showed long ago, but my recent introduction to him was in the two-part-movie The Hogfather. As "hollow" as he was portrayed there, I found him pretty charming.

What about Death from "Magicka"? He uses his travel agency to help you return from the underworld, gives you his number when needed for a foe dispatching, AND tells stories over the campfire!

I rewatched this episode just because I wanted to listen Gregg's squeaky voice. Probably one of the more entertaining versions of Death that I've seen for a while...
