Blues hard rock era of white snake was just .. 🤌🏼 😩
Best time period for whitesnake. I just love the blues era.
They excelled at playing the blues.
Absolutely!
I agree 100% sir, love all Whitesnake but their early days/formation they just had good cynergy with this lineup anyways, his voice was made for the BLUES!! THE GUITARIST CAN FLAT WHALE, JUST LOOKS SO OUT OF PLACE, LOOKS LIKE A SHERIFF OF TOMBSTONE, GOD I MISS THOSE DAYS & DAMN GOOD MUSIC ACTUALLY MADE BY USING INSTRUMENTS/SKILL/ MOXY!!!!
Yeah, before they became a hair band
They were brilliant in the 80s and looked better. The gigs were epic, the music just as good.
R.I.P Bernie….top guitarist from when Whitesnake were the real deal😢😢😢😢
3 vocalists where they say ‘now listen’, and you fkn damn listen good. Plant, Rogers and Coverdale
Rest easy Bernie. Thanks for all the wonderful music. 🎸❤️😔
Neil Murray is the Beast in this performance! 😲
Indeed!
Definetly one of the best vocalists of rock history
Absolutely 👍
Have to agree. Coverdale and Dio are definitely in my top 5
Neither one of them are in the same class as Paul Rodgers and Chris Cornell, in my opinion.
@@scottsoucy6186 Bad Company was good, but if I never hear that "All Right Now" song again I will die happy
That wasn't Bad Company, though. That was Free, and that was before his voice was fully developed.
Early Whitesnake . Happy me .
One of my favorite WS songs. Damn I miss the 70s and early 80s rock and music. Some great stuff.
Me too🎉
One of the greatest bass-lines ever! Neil Murray!!!
The guitar solo is a killer!!!
Both solos are killer, Marsden and Moody.
Whitesnake and David Coverdale when they were a REAL rock and roll band with the amazing and under rated Micky Moody and Bernie Marsden, saw them in 1981 (I think) at the Bristol Colston Hall, they were a class act
Lucky you John Carter! 👍😊❤
I'm still waiting for them to come to Australia...
(It's never gonna happen) :(
@@loveconquersall143 Your prayers have been answered. Check their website!
I saw them like you at their finest. Absolutely brilliant. There ain’t no love in the heart of the city live. Quality or what. I think that might have been Come an Get it Tour. Went with my older Brother. I was the annoying younger brother!
Underrated ???!!! No way...Bernie had given his way with Ian Gillan Band , Moody was at his best why underrated ???!!! So many bands jealous of this line up...
Dang, I have to admit this is the best song by David and Whitesnake. David was met to sing the blues of this type. I can't stop watching this video of David and the band and the guitar solos are absolutely amazing!!!! I can't stop singing to this song. Man, it hits my heart and soul ❤️💕💓❤️.
This beer is for you Bernie!! Much love ♥️♥️♥️
Saw them in 82 at Bham Odeon and Mons of Rock 83 - this always brought the House down - Coverdale - one of the greates tRock/Blues voices of all time!!
Snap! 83 Saints & Sinners - Hammersmith Odeon + Donnington.
This really is a great cover of the original by Bobby Bland. I love both versions.
He didn’t write the song originally, it was Michael Price and Dan Walsh who wrote Ain’t No Heart in the City
@@IblewuponyourfaceIIIno he did it was made by a blk man
Joey Tempest better
@@IblewuponyourfaceIIIlol. Not true. But of course liars will be liars
I just find out the passing of the great Bernie Marsden . Rest in pace . You’ll be missed and remembered for the talent you had . Thanks for the music. 😢😢😢
Alive an Heavy- one of the best albums of all time
Late 70's and the 80's were awesome for Rock music I remember it like it was yesterday wish I could go back.
I wish I have 17yrs right now
I dont listen this song for a long long time but when I return to listen again its a real diamond of the rock music
R.I.P Bernie killer blues guitarist one of the best
Bernie & Mickey just one of the best paired guitarist ever ❤❤❤
Totally agree 😊Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody were my favourite of all the Whitesnake band members along with John Lord on keyboards
Just pure awesomeness ....the best of the music, the music of today doesn't hole a candle to the music of yesterday.
David Coverdale with his evergreen voice..best of all time.
Love him
Me too.
I miss the use of dry ice these days on rock performances. Whatever you may think of it, it adds that special glamour to rock.
That bass line is pretty amazing. Great version also, nice band times.
So true. Catptivating bass playing. Staccatto prretty funky, musical & rich of ideas
This song was used by them to audition bass players.
100% baseline is just amazing
That's a smooth bass groove.
Totally who they were!!!!! The rest a sad shadow!!! Saw them about 82 in Nottingham and for this he just held out the mike after about the third line and we just sang for him........goose bumps just remembering!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome times!!!!!
Hollywoodification
the bluesy Whitesnake was the best
Gives a chance for Mr. Coverdale to shine!
best whitesnake ever !
wrong
And you are right. Why? I still stand my ground.
Definitely. Listen to their songs, before they were turned into a hair metal band, and it's night and day. The soul, the feel, everything, was with the first Whitesnake.
For me, the ✨🎶 Blues-Rock 🎶✨ era of Whitesnake was the ultimate 🎶👌 Just my opinion.
Listen to Free, my friend - Free came first and influenced many other bands (voice/bass/guitar/drums) - Whitesnake (and others) try to emulate the best.
RIP B.M.
R.I.P. Bernie Marsden. You were one of the best. You won't be forogotten.
RIP Bernie marsden another legend from my youth gone 😢😢
RIP, Bernie. Demon guitarist.
RIP Bernie Marsden 😢 great guitarist
The best advert for a double neck guitar I've ever seen. Beautiful comping on the 12 string that adds so much to the soulful mood followed by a very tasteful solo on the 6 string. Marsden was a god
This lineup before the MTV effect was brilliant. Coverdales solos Northwind and the album Whitesnake are blues rock classics. Wish us fans could witness 1 gig from this era as it's so long ago.
I'm hearing, and seeing, a big Free vibe here. Coverdale is even holding his mic like Paul Rodgers.
Yea he never mentions Free or Paul Rogers, it’s like the elephant in the room,, but Free were much the maturer band, this is pop compared to Free.
dont know how well this sound wouldve worked down the road for whitesnake
R.I.P. Bernie Marsden.
this is one of those songs you want never to end
i totally agree
Vdd quando acaba eu começo tudo de novo
How young was I. 7 years ago. I was happy and didn’t know it. I had all the chances in the world at my 21. Now wasted. Guys, face your fears and psychological complexes. Don’t fall for validation of any kind. Develop yourselves and invest in yourselves. Be better everyday. Don’t let shyness stop you. You’ll overcome. And whatever you want to accomplish, be patient and keep moving on, be disciplined give yourselves the gift of consistency. I was stupid enough to think I was too old at 21, whatta moron I wish I was 21 right now.
ain't no music in the heart of the city when Whitesnake aren't around!
RIP. Bernie Marsden. He came to India once a few years ago. 😊
Thats why everyone love white snake cause they are the soul of this type of music.
R.I.P. Bernie Marsden 😢
What an amazing smooth yet raw rock sound, beautiful 😁
Best line up of Whitesnake without a shadow of doubt....
It certainly was downhil from here
Amazing blues band with Moody and Marsden on guitars. Ruined their legacy by going to America. Big hair and spandex trousers, a fking joke.
@@sipaz195 totally agree it wasn’t what the band was about but I suppose they went the way wind was blowing
"Slide It in" was ok, but the hair band version of the band was tough to take...
Absolutely right
John Lord, Neil Murray, Bernie Marsden, Micky Moody...what a exquisite taste has David Coverdale for his line up.
One of my alltime favorites ..I prefer this period .. reminds me on my amazing youth...
Divine voice and fantastic band
whitesnake...one of the best
Terrific Bass line in this version of this song! The Back-Beat is the ticket!
Of all the covers of this tune that I've heard, David Coverdale and Whitesnake's is by far the the most engaging.
Fantastic!!Coverdale voice ,out of this world.
08.07.2011 - Whitesnake in Sofia!
I can clearly say from now it's going to be one of the best days in my life! Always wanted to hear Coverdale pour that smooth voice of his live!
This Bobby Blue Bland Classic!!, is a well done cover by DC and Whitesnake.
Bobby Blue Bland would be proud of this cover by White Snake!!!!!
Get well soon DC, rest up and lets have you performing again when you're good and ready.
Much love
Great voice! Great blues!
This is true rock Ladies and Gents! Hats off to the artists!
This early Whitesnake is my favourite. I am a blues person.
Great song...best band line up also. David and Jon Lord bought us some beers in the bar at the Colston Hall in Bristol while their support band (Magnum) were playing in the early 80's. It was only the 4 of us plus the bar staff there. Priceless...talking to them for almost an hour. Happy days......
Really so surely you can tell me what David's favourite food is,?
@Dawid Bekhem probably not,but surely we can tell that you are an idiot!
@@daweedbekhemm8549 I once saw Daweed Bekhemm playing for Mahoonchester a United he had a reasonable game but I don’t know if he likes origami. I could deduce however that he was a twat.
@@channelnumber73 very polite response. Loving it.
I saw Whitesnake at Manchester Apollo in the autumn of 1978. Support act was Magnum. Great concert!
Great version of a classic blues tune!
Best line up.. Rip Bernie 🙏
Used to blast this song in my Car.... Those were the days. .. what a wonderful arrangement. And of course the voice .
One of the best live albuns ever.
There's no love in the ❤ of rock since Bernie has passed to rock heaven r.i.p😢 from Shaz in the uk
I was 15 when I first heard this, waayyyy back... All time favourite, absolutely love it.
David Coverdale 💖 I think I'll love his voice forever.
Class tune love this line up the best ever!
I love that voice🔥💖💋
Man David Coverdale kept his band floating at the top who else can say that Ozzy maybe Dio not very many God bless us all
When CZcams reminds you how good music can be 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
The best era....best line up.
Whitesnake pre loreal was the fecking business. Here's a song for ya
Used to see Whitesnake regularly in the late 70s, early 80s - an event every time.
DC was prone to pushing his vocals a little too far but this is a restrained performance which enhances the song and performance and blends in beautifully with the band. Epic stuff, god bless 'em!
Yeah saw them 4 times in early 80s then when they went too commercial I sort of lost interest
Love this song truly one of the best does not get the air play on classic radio 😢
Superb tone and voice, I prefer the early Whitesnake before the bleached big hair days...
me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love it all 😉😍
yeh .. ."R&B" - "Rhythm & bleach " was a gulf too far to cross !! lol
Coverdale is still Great... Watch Song Still of the night... His Voice still Great
Viking62 same here
Nei whitesnake di quel periodo il miglior coverdale.
I’ve always loved Whitesnake and most stuff David Coverdale has done.
My favourite whitesnake lineup. Neil Murray is a fantastic bass player Dave’s voice was second to none 👌
Ain't no love but still listening in 2024 with hope..
Legends.....💪❤
THIS is whitsnake💪🏻
now this is a whitesnake in the studio ttaw big time ......... with feeling raw
R.I.P Bernie Marsden
I love Whitesnake 👏💞
Soulful voice...song....guitar....so bluesy..
Good ole days and Great music....
Takes me back to my youth i saw them live i was 15 best day ever! 1980🎉🎉get goosebumps
What a career Whitesnake has had all the different variations all the great music thanks so much.
This brings back some amazing memories with some great friends and some great times, especially seeing Whitesnake at the Bristol Colston Hall, a great band with some amazing guitar players
John Carter saw this line up on the heart of the city tour at deeside leisure centre on the ice rink the crowd went forward and I got dragged out the front by a bouncer rats ! David done a great version of soldier of fortune and we missed the last bus home had to kip in a bus stop ahh memories
Criminally underratet band and song👊
Time for Coverdale to bow out gracefully. Listening to early Whitesnake is a reminder of what used to be . Listening to Coverdale and Co. now is like listening to a bunch of hasbeens.
l'm 57 but still love this song, great voice..
The best!
Great version,it s good to see David in early years when he was on a more bluesy mood......Great vocalist anyway!!!!!
Awesome...brings back the late 70s to me. Brilliant
How many times have I bought this music and worn down the tape or the grooves on the record, than came the CD’s and still listening ……
After hearing this version of this song I can say that this is probably the best line-up for WHITESNAKE! Bernie Marsden, Micky Moody, Cozy Powell, Neil Murray and, of course, the one and only David Coverdale! WHITESNAKE: the best rock group forever!
Sir David Coverdale!
Dave Duck Dowell on this not Cozy Powell
100%
Ian Paice on drums
Listen to Free, my friend - they influenced many other great bands.
RIP Bernie Marsden 😢
IMO, this is the best version of this classic song. What a line up: Coverdale, Paice, Lord, Marsden, Moody & Murray. 🤘🏻
except its not paice and lord playing its dowie and solley
@@barrybanks4824 In my haste to close my eyes and enjoy this track I failed to notice. I stand corrected and enlightened sir. 🤘🏻
