Has anyone actually looked at an Audi, Mercedes, Maserati, or any other car out there. They all have huge grilles. This one is actually well integrated in to the design. The real test.. put it beside the previous generation. Looks utterly dated and inferior.
I think the grill was more a shock to non-BMW enthusiasts who aren't familiar with BMW history. Also, there's idiots that can't deal with change...point in case with this review. One critic didn't like the grill and the sheep just followed along.

It really grows on you, I currently have one as a loaner car and I like it, I don’t know if I would like it less if it didn’t have the license plate but it’s different and just like any new design with time I think people grow to appreciate it, look at the E 60
It grows on you before you buy it, cause I won’t buy anything to hope it grows on me. As a loaner it was ok for me too, but my money wasn’t in it.

Great review, Jason! I’ve seen just about every CZcams review on the M440i and they get to be very boring and repetitive but this review is a very fresh look at everything with some great video of aspects never shown properly before, like the adaptive cruise control footage. For me, this is the best review on this car for people actually planning on buying one of these! The grill comments are getting annoying to me since I like the grill and who cares since your perspective on the car is from inside almost all the time and looking at the front is a rarity when you own one, unless you always back into every parking space. I don’t care what everyone else sees.

i have one, and the grille differentiates it from other "run of the mill" BMW,s its instantly recognisable as a 4 series.

Grill looks great bro. The old grills were boring.
The front grill is distinctive in an interesting way. I like it. What I don't like are the exhaust tips. The only people who like them are the designers. Everyone else prefers conventional circular exhausts.
Also I know that 0 to 100 km an hour translated to 0 to 60 is a little bit off but with the performance non-runflat I have on my loaner vehicle it actually does zero 60 in 3.8, it’s wicked fast and gets great gas mileage, it’s super quiet on the inside but the inside is a bit bland for a $70,000 car
I liked the interior and everything about it, minus the grille :)

BMW, fast and fugly. How to ruin everything with a terrible designer that never stops talking and telling us we are all wrong. Just look at how disjointed that rear end is. So many lines.
