    Personally I think that bikes like the tracer or the Turismo Veloce are different kind of bikes to the GSXS 1000GT and the Ninja 1000SX, the former are more like sport-trails to me

    • @niko9425

      I think so too. That's why they are also called "Crossover" by many companies.

    • @veljkovic92
      @veljkovic92 Před 2 lety +8

      Wouldn't completely agree with you after having both "classes".
      Tracer is higher than Ninja for example and with it you get more legroom(knee more open, comfortable), more upright position, more upper body wind protection, more counter-steering initial input(directly drops the bike) and, with that height it also does some off road.
      The Ninja puts the knees more bent because of it's more "compact", lower position. It also has probably slightly better lower body wind protection because of side panels. It's initial counter steer is less prominent due to tighter handlebar but than it makes your "body lean" sportier. Both are amazing bikes and one should definitely test them to decide. Both are great sport tourers where Tracer seems to be a bit of everything with accent on comfort and Ninja a bit of everything with accent on sport. All the best. 🖐️

      Also to mention the cost of ownership, i.e. maintenance is twice the cost. Also, the reliability of the Tracer 9 GT is a big factor. No fun "touring" when your stuck in the middle of nowhere. I don't know this...but what octane is recommended in each bike?

    I love how everyone has an opinion on why this or that bike should be #1 or another shouldn’t be on the list and the bike they had is the best bike they have ever rode! Unless you have all these bikes and ride them all for a substantial amount of time to make a fair and impartial decision on their rankings, let the pros do that part! They take everything into consideration, such as handling, braking, performance, mpg, comfort and everything else involved in riding in every situation! A bike you thought was the best, you might completely change your mind riding something that you might of despised! I listen to the pros and go in with an opened mind, not already having a bias opinion like to many people seem to!

Whilst the Ninja and Suzuki clone are more Sports.

    Your reasons for not including either the BMW f900xr or s1000xr made no sense whatsoever. Why not just say your not including them because it’s your list and you don’t have to.
    You wouldn’t be the first motorcycle journalist to omit BMWs from a top 10 list do to your own personal bias.
    There is so much inconsistency with motorcycle journalist today that it sours the motorcycle experience and some might find it not worth the trouble especially since it’s a luxury (regardless of price) not a necessity.

    Yamaha and Honda have proven reliability, also proven time and time again they rein superior to Ducati. You spend less time in shop riding a Honda or Yamaha. Enjoy your overpriced Ducati’s that will get you accustomed to the service advisor and your technician.
