- A couple local people were kind enough to show me around a small town in Changhua, Taiwan - which is near Taichung.
We started off our day visiting a place called the Roundhouse. It's an old train storage facility that provided a unique mode of storage and redirection many years back.
Then we stopped at a small restaurant to have something called 'meatball'. It was definitely one of the strangest things I have ever seen and ate. It was pretty good, however.
Next up, we stopped to have some dessert. I had a papaya shake, Emma had a bean shake, and Elvin had watermelon juice. It was super delicious! While there, there was a small game at our table to play. It was related to your birthday and constellation.
After that, we walked across the street and explored a very important temple in Changhua. It was built in the 1700's!
After leaving the temple, we stopped to try something called Muahchee. It was an incredibly soft ball with salty pork in the middle. I am in love with this texture. It's a must-try if you visit Changhua!
After Muachee, we visited a giant Buddha statue in a local park. This was so huge that we were able to walk inside and do a tour in his belly and chest! The mini-museum taught the history of Buddha.
After walking around the park and feeding the koi fish, stopped at a local street vendor and tried something called 'fried sticky rice'. This turned out to be my favorite food item of the day. It was definitely sweet! So delicious! You must also try this if you visit Changhua!
We then spend the rest of the evening walking around the local Jingcheng night market. This was my favorite place of the day because there was just so much to see! So many sights, games, food, and people! It was such a cool place to walk around and explore!
