Ha. The 'Holy Ground'. General term for the beautiful land of Ireland. Or - sailors code for the red light district (brothels and taverns) of whatever port they happen to be in at the time?
The Holy Ground refers to eastern seafront in Cobh, County Cork where the harbour is. Not a general term for Ireland though.
