    Totally agree with you Chooch. I've been riding the V11 on some dirt trails like in this video and it's fantastic. I can bomb down the trails that would normally be awful on my MSX/MSP. I'm not a jumper so I haven't put any pads on it (yet).

    hey Chooch, 2 yrs ago I got into EUC and bought my 1st EUC KS 16s because of you. Now I am ready for an upgrade. I was leaning at getting KS S18 until your opinion in this video. You brought out a very crucial point in your comparison. While turning tight corners, V11 may get pedal scrape at about 45 degree lean whereas KS S18 WILL cut out before pedal scrape. I 'd rather have pedal scrape as a safety warning than getting out off before pedal crape and getting face plant. This KS S18 leaning cutting out before pedal scrape is a deal breaker for me. So V11 it is. Of all the EUC reviewers your opinion is the most objective, practical and honest and you are an expert in this. Kuji Rolls while testing S18 pedal scrape did get cut off before pedal scrape and he commented it as if it is a good thing !

      Im here man! Many of us EUC riders in T.O!

    • @fucosk
      @fucosk Před 4 lety +1

      I guess the 45 degree declination is to the actual surface (e.g. already inclined plane), not to the horizontal plane. It means it will cut-off, when you are declined so much you are going to fall. It is not going to happen on a sloped turn. The level of the wheel-rider system is already inclined so you have to subtract the angle from the 45 degree limit, if you want to count it to the steady water level.

    • @williamCmd
      @williamCmd Před 4 lety +1

      @@fucosk Hypothesis aside, I go for the evidence base. Kuji Rolls on KS S18 got cut out while going in tight circle trying to scrape the pedal and he got thrown off. That's not good.

    • @porallen
      @porallen Před 4 lety +3

      @@williamCmd I hear what you're saying but the point that Chooch raised was about taking banked corners and the potential for cutouts. Very different scenario to tilting the wheel on a flat surface.

    • @wizrom3046
      @wizrom3046 Před 4 lety +4

      @@porallen I agree. The tilt angle is sensed internally by the inertial motion unit in the electronics. It does not sense angle, is senses inertial angle. So at very low speeds it senses angle to the ground (Kuji test) but on a banked corner it adds/subtracts angle from the inertial cornering forces ie centrifugal force.
      So during hard cornering the wheel can be more than 45 degree tilt and not cut out. Very slow cornering it might cut out at 45 degrees.
      Anyway if Kingsong realise this is costing them sales they cannrelease a firmware update to fix it. Same as In motion did to increase the v11 top speed. 🙂

    You made the V11 look so boss on the trail! But the S18 was no slouch and looked like it had a lot of advantages like being more nimble, probably because it's lighter and suspension design/travel favors off-roading. The V11 just looked planted and was eating up the trail. I went with the V11 as a new rider being about 185 lbs and older (i.e., less limber). I thought the V11 was the better fit for me. No jumps right away, just want cruise and get over curbs and rough roads. But I think the S18 will be my second wheel after I gain some skills, so I can have be best of both worlds! (PS: If I was a younger, lighter rider, I'd probably go for the S18 first. So many wheels, so little time! (and money ;-))

    I crashed with my V11 after making adjustments to the suspension. Bruised my ribs, hip, and back of shoulder. Was wearing pads, but I think the dirt bike armor is better protected in a crash, especially if you are older and less agile. I bought one but didn't use it sine I was just trying to get a feel for the ride. With one fall and one crash of just the v11, everything is still in tack on the ECU. My crash was just trying to stay on the thing, pretty much balancing while turning and riding off the side walk where I lost my balance. I will most likely buy the side pads for better grip and control on the machine. I saw them on Aliexpress.com for $77 to $80 dollars. They are design for the Inmotion V11. The flaws I see on it is the saddle under the handle. When I took them out to adjust the air suspension the plastic hole the screw goes through just broke off for no apparent reason. And on my first crash, the other side broke off as well. These are both on the rear.....the tail light end. I think Inmotion should build a metal housing into the saddle for this to better hold in place. I don't know if any other riders have had this issue or took notice of it.

    Nice kicks, man.
    Curious about gear for the v11.
    What sort of shoes do you recommend for the v11? That, plus the helmet, are my biggest unresolved purchases.
    I'd assume the best shoes are hightops, like yours? Are those armored?
    New rider, got all my gear, excited for the batch 2 v11 to arrive here in NorCal, likely September, eWheels has said.
    But yeah-- shoe wise, what do you think?
    So far I like the
    Leatt elbow pads,
    TourMaster AirIntake 5.0 jacket,
    Hillbilly fingerless gloves,
    187 killer knee pads,
    & S1 skate helmet
    that I've got.
    The Leatt Zip 5.0 kneepads I got don't fit, but I think I'm going to try their nonzip 6.0 pro pads, as they look to have better protection and larger sizing, says customer support.
    I also bought the Bell MX-9 MIPS helmet, which I think looks dope. However, I'm worried it may be too heavy. Folks have recommended the Bell Super 3R, but I'm hesitant about the removable chinguard. Seems to be an unnecessary safety compromise, for more money.
    I don't know. Like I said, I'm a total euc noob, but after long consideration, decided to go all in. Ordered the v11 and got the gear listed above. I'm sure I'll always be tweaking my setup, but, I want to start off right. 👌

    It does NOT dampen the batteries NOR shell (as opposed to s18 which is going by racing rules of minimal undamped mass, aka it dampens rider+chassis+batteries+mainboard...

      @@Kay0Bot I have not read anything that says it has to be hardwired in. Everything I see from eWheels as well as KS says it just plugs into the charging port. Easily removable if you want to save the 4.5kg for short rides.

    This video is misleading. The jumping performance of the s18 is better than the v11 because of the better suspension and weight.

    its such a crappy decision the V11 seems the best but the S18 looks so much cooler

    I like your reviews so please don’t get offended by constructive criticism.
    There is no need to keep endlessly saying in the entire name of each wheel (if I were playing a drinking game I’d have been unconscious by the end😂) every time and sometimes twice in one sentence, it makes you sound like an infomercial and would be a lot easier to listen to if you said the full name only when needed (the start) for clarification and referred to them as V11 and S18 or In Motion and King Song.
    Secondly, although you say in that both are excellent you made a bold statement that you could do 3x more laps on the V11 than on the S18 but you couldn’t say why, If the margin is that great there has to be a reason otherwise it makes you sound biased.
