News reports, secret sources and anonymity

Investigative Journalist, Heather Brooke on anonymity in news reports, and why secret sources are unaccountable for what they say. Examples from Jean Charles de Menezes, an innocent man shot by police, where police lied to try to cover up their mistakes.
In 2006 in Forest Gate, London, the Metropolitan Police spent £2million in a botched raid on the house of Mohammed Abdul Kahar and Abdul Koyair, suspected of terrorism. The men were later released without charge.
