  • When it comes to high technology, the aerospace industry is right at the top of the food chain, right up there with the production of semiconductors and the field of astronautics. The jet aircraft of today, whether it be a civilian or military aircraft, is comprised of hundreds of thousands of components, many of which are delivered from different areas of the world in order to complete the assembly process and create the beast that flies through the air.

Most of the companies listed here don't even built complete aircraft, only electronics or jet engines (GE) or missiles shot from planes. Some make helicopters and small military jets such as Leonardo and only two actually make a whole range of military and civil jet aircraft - Airbus and Boeing. As mentioned in many previous comments, the world's third-largest manufacturer of passenger airplanes, Embraer of Brazil, is not even listed. Bad research of people who do not really know what they're doing!

Not most. Only three of them doesn't do complete aircrafts. Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed, Northrop, Leonardo, Bombardier and UAC all do complete aircrafts. Not all do civil and military, but all do complete aircrafts. Not for all complete aircrafts is their major, but still. They rating companies in sales, maybe Embraer, Dassault etc. doesn't qualify for first 10. And Airbus has whole range if military aircraft? They have only A400M. It's just a freighter. Eurofighter Typhoon is not Airbus, it's a consortium.

Well i think the closest you will get in the present era would have been the supersonic passenger jet Concorde which could reach a cruising speed of Mach 2.04 (2388 km/h) or in miles 1483.83 h but these are not present no more since an accident happened with the plane in which it flew over a piece of a passenger plane that was not cleaned of the runway and hit one the tires of the airplane which in turn ruptured one of the fuel tanks in which the heath of the rupture was so hot that it ignited the fuel inside the airplane which caused it to cause fire and shortly crash.

After reaching takeoff speed, the tyre of the number 2 wheel was cut by a metal strip (a wear strip) lying on the runway, which had fallen from the thrust reverser cowl door of the number 3 engine of a Continental Airlines DC-10 that had taken off from the same runway five minutes previously.

Rolls Royce & Pratt & Whitney are bigger than at least 2 of these - if you are going to include GE you should include these major engine suppliers, better yet - just include actual "Aircraft Manufacturers" of which there are many more who should then be on the list. As of now UAC cannot be as big as it was when last reported - since its supply line for western equipment & engines has dried up - take it off the list, not having actual revenue figures doesn't matter - it is inevitably much, much smaller in 2023/2024. Make a real list.
