Based upon recently declassified files of the British War Department and inspired by true events, THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE is an action-comedy that tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials including author Ian Fleming. The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques. Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.

Major Anders Lassen was indeed of aristocratic background and had what could be understood as an entitled upbringing but he was a wild child early on and had plenty of running ins with Danish police as a teenager.
He graduated school with abysmally poor grades and went to sea in the Danish merchant navy where he was on board a tanker from Maersk when Germany invaded Denmark.
Anders Lassen got off the ship in the Arabian Gulf and met a British contact who turned out to have contacts to SOE.
In SOE, they quickly found out that Anders Lassen was just the type of person they were looking for.
As it turned out, Anders Lassen was quite unconventional and extremely gifted at killing Germans. Anders Lassen was known for having a pretty explosive temper and hated the Nazis with a passion.
It's not hard to imagine that he must have been somewhat special considering he became a major in SBS at the age of 23 and died at age 24 where he had already been awarded the Military Cross three times. He was further awarded the Victoria Cross posthumously as the only non-commonwealth soldier in WWII.
Anders Lassen was a born soldier and a true killer. If he had survived the war, the question is really how he would have handled a life at peace. He would probably just have found other adventures somehow but he does not seem to have been the man who would have wanted a life without wild adventures.
