Starring Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusanmokun, Henrique Zaga, Til Schweiger, with Henry Golding and Cary Elwes.
Based upon recently declassified files of the British War Department and inspired by true events, THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE is an action-comedy that tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials including author Ian Fleming. The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques. Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.

Why do soldiers in films always die quietly? You would expect one to yell in pain or shoot their gun before they die.
Depends how they die. A lot of chest injuries will drive the breath from a person so they've nothing to scream with.

I’m looking forward for this movie to release on streaming services, theres been a lack off goofy ww2 action movies these days
I'm a fan of action, but there's a line that you cross where you make your hero too badass, and then there don't appear to be any stakes whatsoever, and then the movie becomes as numbing as watching someone play a video game.
Yeah I was thinking, it's like they know they're in a movie. I can see it being done for comedic effect, but it loses that if they do it for the whole movie.
What they have done with this is amalgamated a lot of true stories from different operators in WW2 and put them into a handful of characters.
Mad Jack Churchill did, in fact carry a long bow, some bagpipes, a Scottish claymore, and wore a kilt at all times.
He killed Germans with both the sword and the bow and his lads hearing with the bag pipes.
On D Day, he is pictured walking up the beach under heavy enemy fire, wearing a kilt blowing his bagpipes and carrying a claymore.
The SAS did more mad stuff than you can believe.
They genuinely destroyed more planes and killed more luftwaffe and Italian pilots than the allied airforce .
They stole a train behind enemy lines, filled it with POWs, and drove back over 100m to allied lines.
They jumped into central France to help the resistance and actually annihilated the pro nazi sympathisers and held down a battalion of Waffen SS for months.
If you read some speacial operation history of WW2 from 41 to 45, they were literally bang at it.
Last.
British troops are the masters of humour.
The worse the conditions the more they laugh because complaining want solve anything.
So this film is based on some solid facts, including the weapons and mindset, just all condensed into a handful of people.
But this is a game right?
@@michaeldoolan7595 Yeah but I doubt those guys were strolling around without a care in the world while they were in the middle of a war.
@@michaeldoolan7595imagine believing that a handful of people took down entire troops. @@tequilacollins One of them did, but that's not the only thing that's a war crime.
3:58 False Flag -- putting on the uniform of an enemy during a combat operation
4:07 Hors de Combat -- firing on an enemy who was clearly disabled, unarmed, and asking for mercy
4:11 Hors de Combat (arguable) -- firing on more disabled enemies (less clear-cut, there was no attempt to surrender, the enemies were standing and could have been combat-ready)
4:18 Aggravated Hors de Combat and False Flag (x2) -- firing on unconscious enemies while wearing the stolen uniform of an enemy soldier
5:19 Hors de Combat and Torture -- stabbing an enemy who is clearly incapacitated, and deliberately inflicting pain while doing so.
Just read the book. To paraphrase Churchill: this is bollocks.

Why has no one yet had the brilliant idea of packaging a Nazi rampage as a comedy? That's great! There's never been anything like it before and it's not boring at all. Supposedly Gus March-Phillips inspired James Bond.
The original SAS guys and people like Gus March-Phillips were completely bonkers, I doubt they were this efficient at killing or did this much killing, but those guys were insanely brave and hard men. They were all probably lot smaller, Alan Ritchson and Cavill are like 6' 2" ish and huge, well built, lots of muscles, but not only were blokes back then generally shorter, special forces soldiers and commandos tended to be small wiry guys, as special forces stuff like that involved a lot of walking, covering long distances, survival etc. and having like a 250 pd muscle man who needs thousands of calories a day would be a disadvantage.
