Made this work with a mew/greninja engine. Used dark patches and absol ex. Stack the board with 3 gengar, 1 of each of the other. If anyone is more curious I'll post a full deck list
This Gengar deck is actually very good versus the future box/iron hands as the iron crown ex is weak to dark, so Gengar can easily get two prizes from those.
I've been trying out Morty's as a draw engine instead of the judges and have liked it so far. What I don't like about judge is that as an evolution deck you don't always want to shuffle back stuff to complete your evolution lines.
People need to be running Team Star Grunt instead of Giovanni's Charisma. Also disrupts their draw. I also run 1 heavy ball because it seems like with Gengar, the game always puts gastly into my prize pile. lol like 80% of games. It's unbelievable.

I actually ran into a Gengar ex while playing a Future Box and learned this the hard way... 😭

Morty is a great alternative to both Judge and Serena imo. Just not great if they don't have a bench set up

I think this will be my main deck gengar is my favorite pokemon
It's definitely a great deck to play! It's not the most powerful, but it has a great attack!

I think it's a viable option, since this needs two energy to set up. I haven't tried it myself with it though

What happened to using roaring moon with this deck?
The 3 energy cost is difficult without having to sacrifice some space for e switches or dark patches
