In today's Pokémon TCG Live video I am playing an awesome Gengar ex deck that specializes in heavy energy disruption! Between Gengar's ability to put damage in play when your opponent plays energy, to it's Tricky Curse attack, crushing hammer, and more this deck makes it a miseriable time for your opponent to get set up properly. This deck was a ton of fun to play and worth the watch! :)

Nice video man got a new sub! Gengar is my fav pokemon, would love to see how the pidgeot ex variant goes for you
thank u so much :) i’ll make a pidgeot variant soon !!!
Awesome man!
thank you! deck was a ton of fun to play!
Used this deck just now. It’s a hard counter to festival lane decks. They can’t attack twice because after one hit you can move their energy with handheld fan
wait stop that’s so funny i didn’t even think of that 😂 energy disruption is such a fun concept lmaoo
48:20. Did you forget you didn’t have any more trackers. Why did you not use your stadium card to get another one down?
i definitely forgot lol
Thoughts on swapping in brute bonnet and play the damage counter game?
i honestly love the idea, it’s just tricky to figure out what to tech out to add brute bonnet and ancient booster capsule
Also devolution would have won you the last game there also. They used all their rare candies so early.
my single biggest weakness as a player is somehow always forgetting the devolution play tbh 😅 i don’t have much experience playing decks with it and often forget about it
Gengar's attack ability is optional, you may also not move energies, in case of a KO.
yea definitely a good point, or if it’s a pretty bad attacker u can always chose to leave the energy on it too
So many lake acuitys in raging bolt is questionable
for real that caught me off guard 😭
Most likely a quest they had
that’s a good point those quests r random af lmaoo
Why didn’t you use artizan at 43 minutes to get another gengar evolved
another good point of me misplaying lol, ik it’s a poor excuse but i’m a new youtuber so i think just recording videos is making me nervous and not taking in the game as much as i normally do cuz im worried about making sure its recording smoothly+music/mic volume a lot
i’m hoping that over time i’ll get better at multitasking all these things 🫡
Gengar will forever suck due to how hard it is to get it setup before your opponent wrecks your basics.
gengar will never be bdif* i wouldn't say it sucks tho the deck was a ton of fun to play and did pretty decent for me!
@GinJ-TCG Honestly, I love playing Gengar. Idky but setting it up seems to be so much harder than other stage 2 decks. It has always struggled for me no matter the card mix.
@@Birdm4n78 i think that’s partly bc when compared to things like charizard, pidgeot, or dragapult there’s one huge difference; gengar doesn’t have a setup ability in any of its evolutions like the others
so by default it’ll be “harder” to set up, which sucks for sure but it will still always be a fun deck to play!
Gengar was actually pretty solid against charizard ex. But with ogerpon running around its hard to capitalize om.tje gnawing curse thanks to their empty acceleration not being from the hand.
In my experience too it riugh because Greninja EX one shots .
But I do wish it was more playable. Same with luxray ex
