- Potion Craft Part 11 - giving my potions a swirly. In the process of creating Albedo, I finally realize what these whirpools scattered around the potion map do. How fun! And possibly very useful...

This video might be the easiest one to catch people who commented before watching the whole video. If you see one, give them a shaming!
I love your videos
Haha
Its a freeze frame
hey hey, the tradition of “first” is unkillable!
@@jamesmccaffrey9042 that translates to English as lol, makes sense
1 mana, 2 hallucination, and 2 magical vision seems like one hell of a way to start tripping out with the gods above and beyond
no shit
Now i think about it, that sounds like something you OD on.
In my recipe book, I called it Potion of All Sight
Never said all of the sights were the truth...
Lol
Meth? Cocaine? Nah fam we got 1 mana, 2 hallucinations, and 2 magic visions
I am loving the potion craft videos. I know they take a while to make but this game is just so cool and it’s so entertaining to watch you play.
i agree
Why would they take a while to make? 😂
@@tjorvenblader He does massive amounts of cuts and edits and only shows the most interesting parts of the gameplay. Basically you get an adrenaline shot of 4-5 hours of playing with all the boring parts grinds and so on cut out and packed into a 30 minutes or so video. All of that takes a lot of time.
Can't wait to see Tyler's patience tested with the Philosopher's stone potion recipes, those ones are when it gets real tedious!
Indeed, although most are quite reasonable since you can do the effects in any order. The worst one for me we was berserk, charm, levitate, invisibility, hallucination. I like to leave levitate / necromancy for last and this recipe discouraged that.
@@Ent229 you can actually still leave them for last, the machine doesnt care what order the effects are in, just that all of them are present
@@CDCHexaku I know that, I was saying my modified order. However going Invisibility Hallucination Home Berserk Charm Levitate was worse than going Berserk Charm Levitate Invisibility Hallucination.
FYI the recipe describes it as Levitate Invisibility Charm Hallucination Berserk. I hope Tyler learns they can do it out of order before they try that.
Honestly, the real tedious part comes afterwards. Making both the stone and the life salt is annoying, since you have to do all recipes before twice. However, the worst part is the current last page in the path for 100%. Reaching popularity 15 takes hundreds of potion (if not almost a thousand). I don't want to waste that much time.
@@megaing1322 Thats why you save the recipes. Making a second stone is easy, the first one is the tedious part
I feel like a blacksmithing game with a similar concept would be pretty cool.
I know one game, but it has more of an idle game mechanic.
That would honestly make a great 'sequel' to potion craft. Sort of like how mini motorways is a 'sequel' to mini metro.
So like a spin off
"Jacksmith" is pretty cool, but it's a bit less calming and I think it got destroyed after flash was shut down
@@li8ning453 I think it is still on coolmath
Watching the first video of this series, I was thinking “ I don’t know if I’m gonna be in to this kind of game”. And now while watching this video,I’m sitting in bed thinking “I’m glad I clicked on that video” 😄👍🏻
Literally the same for me. When the first video came out, I was kinda disappointed tbh, so I just ignored it and waited until the next day's upload. But when he started posting more Potion Craft videos I decided to check out one of the recent ones he did and realized there was more to the game than I thought lol. Now I enjoy his Potion Craft as much as everything else
Literally SAME! I didn't expect to like this series, but I thought "Worth a try" and now I love it!
Same. I only watched through half of the first video and didn't think much of it, completely missed the route finding mechanic
I’ve enjoyed watching it the entire time like ever since the first video I’ve been interested
im glad this is a common thing XD i watched the first video and quit halfway bc i didnt like it, but eventually tried again and found it really, really fun. i guess its all about time XD
The best part of this series is when alien speeds things up to ease the watchers mind, he edits the music to be regular speed so it seems like it’s actual game speed. Like you’re skipping dialogue. Props to alien for that.
Tyler didn't edit this video, the editor's twitter is actually in the description of the video
Congrats on making Albedo! Finally he realizes the order doesn't matter! :)
and, OMG, finally doing the whirlpool thing!!! I had given up!!
@@pvic6959 same, by the way did not realize order didn't matter and I finished everything that uses the machine. Ugh so painful especially the ones with skulls at the start.
God the consistent uploads are off the charts
They're even consistent when he takes a break for a few weeks.
Consistent Tyler best Tyler
It's been consistent for so long
Frrr
I've been watching him for a good while, literally the highlight of my day, even though he releases videos at midnight for me
Never thought you would figure our the whirlpool since normally most people dont use the blower unless finishing a potion
The sun + explosion potion is the easiest time to discover it accidentally though, so I'm glad the devs at least did that. Preferably, I think they should make the intent clearer though. Whirlpools look like a hazard, rather than a tool.
@@Muskar2 -- Having some other "conditional" effects might help, like an ingredient that rotates the line with heat, or an area that pushes the potion away when stirring. It it mentioned to experiment with mechanics? The tutorial is pretty thorough, except for things that are introduced later, and these whirlpools.
@@Muskar2 I somehow didn't even notice the water at first, what a discovery that was!
Tyler, there's an easier way to make a philosopher's stone... all you have to do is give everyone strong potions of sleeping... and then lie to them about what it is and tell them to take it...
FMAB?
Most relaxing episode of potion craft yet. I love the game, it's very chill.
At the beginning I wasn’t really a huge fan of this game, but the past few episodes have made me think differently
Yea, sometimes Tyler's video series just hit like that
From now on, I will try to make up effects for combo-potions.
Slowdown+Fast growth+Stoneskin: It is a salve. Stoneyness slowly spreads from where you apply it to the rest of the target's skin.
2 Stoneskin+2 Slowdown: Drinker's skin slowly hardens into stone. The drinker's movement is also slowed.
Light+Explosion+Fire: This is an explosive used for fireworks. Be careful, the explosion does splatter droplets of flaming goop.
Invisibility+Mana+Bounce: The drinker's mana regenerates at an icreased rate. They can expend 40MP to do a big jump, during which they are invisible.
2 Levitation+2 Charm+Lightning: The drinker floats at a decent pace, which makes them attractive. They build up static electricity doing so, and whenever they touch down, they get zapped a bit.
2 Hallucination+2Magic Sight+Mana: The drinker sees in darkness and through illusions. But they also see things that are not there. Every time they uncover a new illusion, or see a new hallucination, they gain mana.
2 Invisibility+2Bounce: The drinker becomes invisible. At will, they can do a huge jump, during which they are visible.
So Lev+Cha+Elec is just a handsome Wizzrobe?
yooo at 8:56 I was pretty stoked that there was a zoom in without a success. I don't know if that was because I asked for it but I like that it caught me off guard!
Oh cool I thought I was the only one who thought the zooms were a bit unnecessary if we always knew they would work :D
I was expecting a canned "awww..." from the audience.
The crystal crunching noises give me dopamine
"Sun explosion fire" sounds like a _VERY_ bad potion.
Finally he uses them, even if it was an accident^^
Oh, he has a crystal again and the book is neatly ordered, did I miss an episode?^^
I thought the sane thing, but i don't think we did. I think it was of camera work
@@brandt_gaming555 or he did it on stream
About 2 months ago when u uploaded the demo I was like man I wanna see more potioncraft content so seeing CONSISTENT potioncraft uploads is like a dream to me
Dude I feel the exact same like I really enjoyed the first video and since
@@alexandermacisaac4412 kool kool, just watched a playthrough of ' A beginner's guide' mind boggling game
Wow you really used that whirlpool mechanic..!
I miss searching for new potions. Cant wait for the next update
Yea i remmemeber when i eas trying to find libedo and went on an extreme journey finding shit but sadly reached the end of the map to realise theres no potions there ...
I love how the more he plays this the more it turns from alchemy simulator to homeopathy simulator
When I saw you drag the pages after you mentioned that the pages were a mess last episode, I was shook.
I JUST CAUGHT UP WITH THE LAST COUPLE EPISODES FOR YOU TO UPLOAD AGAIN. Best timing ever.
It took you for fumbling ever to show us how the whirlpool works! How could you hold your curiosity at bay up to now honestly baffles me!!! I'm watching this video with high expectations :D
Love this series :) you make this game look so fun
lmao I just found your potion craft videos earlier today and was waiting for the next upload, didn't think it would be today.
YES, another potion craft video from you is the best feeling, I clicked on your channel and then videos with but a bit of hope, but alas it payed off big! Tis the best feeling! (I felt like doing this don’t question me)
This is genuinely my favorite series on the whole of youtube right now. Things have been rough, but this is one of the few things I get to look forward to. Keep of the awesome content
Loving potion craft, keep up the great work :)
I need more of these. I love it so much
I don’t know what it is about this game, but I LOVE watching you play it. Great series for me! Keep up the good work, Tyler!
absolutely eating these potion videos up mate keep up the amazing work :)
I just gotta say I love your channel man! You’re a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other channeld on youtube.
Keep on keeping on and good luck with your channel!
This is such a great chill game, love the concept and the atmosphere
Gotta keep commenting so these videos get pushed and do well so you keep making them!
I love every one of these and get so excited every time I see one uploaded
is this man on 2 different runs of the game or am I tripping
Yeeeep
In nice and early for my daily dose of Tyler.. I'm actually really enjoying this series..
I don't know why but I keep getting drawn back into this. It's so entertaining
ive been internally screaming waiting for you to use the whirlpools
It's been suggested across the last 3 episodes lol
FINALLY!!!
@@Dark_Slayer3000 im pretty sure it was more than that LOL
@@pvic6959 perhaps
best part about coming back to the states is having your videos come out at 12am instead of 6am
Man, love your channel so much! Your game plays are always so entertaining and original!
Thank you for making my morning 1000 times better!
This has to be my favourite thing to watch right now. Thanks for the constant content Tyler!
Agreed
Fantastic progress!
Accidentally touched upon the whirlpools and didn't explore further. Whirlpools are actually super cool.
Thank God he figured out the whirlpool
I have so much homework to do, am i doing it? No, am I watching aliensrock instead? Yes
You should do your work
This game seems like it would lend itself very well to mods.
I was thinking a randomizer, like archipelago, would be very neat.
I'm so glad I bought this game when it came out. Thank you for showing it to me
10:05 you could've grabbed that xp up there!
I love this series even tho it's not a puzzle game but a fun interaction type kinda deal.
Theese videos are very entertaining and calming. I thank you for still making theese.
awesome vid man :)
im wxcitied to see what he can do with this!
this brings light to my day
fun fact: if you look next to the “brew this recipe” button you’ll find a “start from here” which allows you to brew shit from that starting potion without having to re-brew it to make 2/3/4/5 effect potions
problem with that, is that it sets you to the moment you saved the recipe - so if you saved the recipe for a crafted T3 potion, then clicking that button will give you a crafted T3 potion with the option to then add two more items
not useful if you need three T1 effects, like many of the albedo and nigredo ingredients
@@Darasilverdragon well yea, im just pointing it out since he doesn’t usually use that when needed
@@fakepillow1 thats why he said the next recipe will be easier. He knows about that.
@@golinie259 dont see him use it much
@@fakepillow1 You're right. I dont think i saw him use it at all so far. But when he checked the next stone he mentioned that he can do that now since it asks for t3 potions (plus more)
Just got potion craft for myself, prepared to have fun and lose my mind in the process
YEEES :O
after so many comments finally he uses them
Finally he uses what? The whirlpools?
@@BeaDSM✓
precisely! ;)
i explained the whirlpool in the comments of a previous video, glad to see you figured it out yourself though.
You finally found it!
Letsss goooo favourite series by far. Keep it up
oh yeassss another potion craft vid lets goooo!!!!!
Am i the only one that loves the asmr of the mortar and pestle crunching
Making a potion with all the different basic magics like lightning, light, fire etc etc would be really cool tbh. Doubt ut'd ever be sold but cool none the less
That's the only thing I feel this game is missing, a meaningful use for multi-effect potions. If a one-effect potion would satisfy a customer, two-effects aren't worth it, but no one looks for complex potions like "explosive fire" or "strong healing weak freezing".
@@TlalocTemporal it's missing as of yet
I mean, I'm pretty sure he would have an easier time selling multieffect potions if he didn't put healing and damaging effects in the same one. Stoneskin berzerker healing would be an awesome final stand type of potion.
I mean, tier 3 ice would be cooler
Love theese videos!
love the vids!
Here is a tip for you
If you need to go a long distance fast, you can heat up the potion and then steer it. It will go long ways much faster.
Keep em coming! 👍👍👍👌👌😘
Loving potion craft. Could you make them slightly longer episodes just as it gets into it they finish :(
Love the alchemist content. Do you have plans to ever play landlord again if a major update comes out?
Oh wow I never new the whirls did that!
This is some good shit man
Keep up the Good work 👍
Most legendary stones have a stoneskin+fastgrowth+X potion, I call them stabilizers. The philosopher's stone has 2 super versions of it.
LEST GOOO. POTION GAME!!!!!!!
Every time I watch one of these on crave radish. Now that's crafty.
Fun Fact: for multi effect potions, you can click "start from here" for the first potion and just start making your way to the next one from there
He has already used that feature. However, he mainly has only tier III potions saved; for the alchemy things you often need tier I and II potions.
@@finalscore2983 Can't you go to a tier 3, then use an ingredient/water to get yourself out if the tier 3 zone, then use the bellows to get a tier 2/1 potion?
I've never been this early to something I was patiently waiting for
Me too
*uses thunder thistle to go to lightning*
also : "that's the one time it lines up"
Not early commenting, I just want to say your videos are amazing, I'm loving the Potion Craft videos and just your channel in general. Keep up the good work!
I just learned that tier 2 is when you cover the icon of the potion
He finally realised the whirlpool mechanic
Tyler :makes albedo.
Overlord fans:
Greatest crossover of all time.
14:43 *Potion of bouncing berserker*
Between the last video and this one I actually bought the game and completed it
Light fire and explosion seams like a big bomb to me
*seems*
I need some of those good cristals ya know the White ones
Love to see more
Somehow i find this series really interesting.
Yeah, Tyler figured out you can move the book pages!
Please keep it up Tyler :)
MORE POTION CRAFT POG
I did wonder how long it would take you to discover the whirlpool mechanic. It would have been so useful for you on so many occasions in the past!
I am 54 days into this game, didn’t bother dealing with the alchemy machine at all lol. Just pure grinding gold, but out the entire stock of merchants. I have all the herbs in the kingdom now 😂
Fav channel
WOOOOO NEW VID POGGERS
also whirlpools are actuallly broken for optimising
Love this game
you kmow what? it might be prety interesting for there to be specific orders *sometimes* for creating these potions, although it might as well become annoying if it's too repetitive
4:35 to anyone wondering what the whirlpool do
A potion of explosion light and fire seems to be a flashbang…
