you really shouldn't use qtips and the lens wipes or alcohol or anything like that on an acrylic lens which is basically what all laser 303's have for cost savings. I damaged the lens on one 303 I have and I regret not having thought about if it was really glass. I also have three sanwu guardian lasers and a lenspen micro and it works perfectly to clean all lasers lens. For the 303 you use the brush side and that should be it. Also you should remove the top part of the 303 as it exposes the lens and its easier to clean.

I know this is an older post but you're right, if your laser has acrylic and not glass lenses the alcohol will actually dull the acrylic to a cloudy finish. And cotton q tips will scratch them if your not careful.

I love that Immediately address the difference between a nebula and a pulsar! 🙌🏼That's what I call it anyway lol dirty glass is a Nebula, scratched or irreparably damaged lens is a Pulsar. So we're working on a little bit different of equipment but I guess the process is much the same🤙🏼I use nitrogen to blow out the lens but that's about the only thing different lol...I'll tell you right now low pressure DN and 50% alcohol on a conditioned cotton swab Is a game changer for a Messy Dot. Try replacing the first battery where u open the lid and sometimes blow into the lenses since some dust go inside

I went to turkey and bought a cheap-o "50mw" laser, and I knew it was not going to bet 50mw but I bought it anyway and it came along with some random little batteries and it worked as a 0.21 mw laser. It was terrible. But I have new batteries and have cleaned it up and it acctually is a 50mw!!! TYYY!

I have a burnt out laser. It is a 1w blue 445nm. you know the 60 dollar ones with the case and 2 18340 batt it still works per say but very dim. and now the dot is now a line. It worked fine the first full set battery's. took them out charged them then put them back in after another full charge. clicked on the laser went on for second then dimmed way down dot went to a line and now it gets really hot. So needless to say I'm not using it no more and can't get an exchange or refund. can you help you fix it in any way? recommend how to maybe? thanks a million

i fellow your laservideo's for a white and I come from Holland. I this issue had with my laser 303 and have tested it and it worked very good! My laser has become stronger and the dot is smaller end laser verder. gas so by you make some really bold video's. sorry if my english is not guite right.

Hello, if anyone knows a proper and safe way to clean out the inside of a Sanwu X3 beam expander without scratching the glass or damaging any possible coating, please let me know. They are very wide on the inside so it’s tough.
According to sanwu their higher end lasers have glass lenses but it has a anti reflective coating on them. So alcohol shouldn’t be used on it if you want the coating to stay. Soap and water will be fine if compressed air isn’t enough

What if the inner lens if the laser 303 is also dirty?
I removed the inner laser lebs and clean it and re glue the lens back (BUT BE CAREFULLY you dont wanna cratch ur lens)
@@Sm0rezDev this isn't a "inner lens" it's the crystal that changes the doubled frequency into 532 nm light. Inside the laser in a very powerful ir diode that produces Infrared light the frequency of that light is then doubled and the converted into 532nm (green) light when it passes through that crystal. If you remove that crystal you will have a very powerful but invisible and therefore very dangerous laser but u would need to mount a collimating Lens at the right distance to focus the IR beam. But u should never do this as it is very dangerous because you cannot see the powerful infrared light produced so you will not know if it hit your eye until it is far to late and the damage has already been done.

I would think using fiber optic cleaning methods might work better. They make lint free swabs and purer alcohol for cleaning fiber.

@@d3ad.4gain be Careful. I have The exact same laser. Don't use alcohol or lens cleaners. Because the fasttech 1W laser has an acrylic lens instead of glass. So that would make it worse, the best way is. Go to any near by car repair shop. Ask them if you can use the air pressure machine. And blow the dust out. And from the first place, never touch the lens. No matter what, just was for the dust. Then use the pressure machine. I hope I gave you enough information, Thanks :D

well yeh this is an older video but I waned to say smt tha happened to my laser 303... One day I turned it on and I show on the wall the classic dot and a big line of light... I thought it was a scratch on the lens but then I took it to my macro camera an I show that it has a tiny fluff that was in staight line... I cleaned it up and it was good as new. What I wanted to say is that this line that u might see is not always a scratch.

sometimes it's not the lens itself it the little crystal inside the laser that can get damaged or if you take it apart and get it dirty or dusty.

Message sanwu and ask them if you can order a new end cap with the lens mounted in it then u can just screw on the new lens and it will be fine as long as your diode window isn't what's dirty or scratched. If thats the case you pretty much oit of luck and I would suggest just dealing with it because you would need to replace the entire diode in this case. Its not easy but it can be done. Involves desoldering the driver from the diode and removing the lens from the heat sync which if its pressed and not tightened with a set screw it will be very difficult if not impossible

Just buy a new 3-layer coated focusing lens its about 4-10$ or a g-2 lens for more $$ but it is better for burning.
The only good method is the air one.
Other methods will scratch it trust me.
