Man I feel old. All these legends are aging and going away. I have seen Kevin’s entire career. What a great driver
I feel ya. I remember watching Kevin and Kurt racing southwest series racing in Tucson when I lived there.
@@flyingfortressrc1794 He was on several people's radar before anyone knew who he was including Dale Sr.
Sure hope he keeps racing after 2023! Been my favorite driver the whole time I've been a nascar fan!
Harvick has done an awesome job from day one, taking Dale’s place as the leader of our sport. Thank You Sir.
I remember when he first started driving the 29 Chevrolet. He just keeps getting better.
And Harvick is someone that the young up and comers in the Cup series should follow his example of what a winner in the Cup series should be like and I too hope his season ends on as high of a note as possible
Thank you Kevin for everything you do for the sport. I hope you have great success in 2023 and that you kick tail in tomorrow's race. Personally I hope you race in 2024 and beyond. No matter where that may be. You and Rodney are a great team. Stay safe and may God bless 🙏✝️🙏
AMEN
Well said!
@@kevin4thewin Thank you. Stay safe my friend and may GOD bless 🙏✝ 🙏
@@chrismv9203 Take care my friend and may GOD bless 🙏✝ 🙏
we related? 🤣
Kevin is really down to earth. He has a lot of knowledge and experience.
He is still a Dick . Don't get me wrong he is great but he is a Dick.
It's very hard to believe back in 2001 he was supposted to run for #30 AOL car in 7 Cup races and his first rookie season was supposted to be in 2002.
That lady just kept creeping that mike in closer and closer 😂
Kevin Harvick Is Awesome
I hated Harvick when he first started, but he’s one of my favorites now, and has been for a while now. That has happened a lot with me since I first started watching in the mid 70’s.
THIS is why Harvick is the leader of NASCAR!
He’s isn’t a damn leader , maybe leader of whiners !!
He'll man what happened at Darlington brought back what stock car racing used to be, Exciting, Fun, and Nasty whatever it takes to win car RACING.
Plz stay harvick !
2023 will be it for Kevin. He has matured so much in the last 10 years and I hate to see him go.
Agreed. Like who will my new favorite be? I will be crying so much next year at Phoenix, because that day, we will say goodbye to one of the greatest drivers of all time.
I would agree with you if we didn't get the next gen car.. kinda weird to retire after 2 years working on figuring out new car lol
Done with nascar after Harvick retires
That's my guy has been from the beginning from day one when he was in the 29 I have been a fan.
@@Weezy10580 Im still on the fence about that but he's really the only other driver I have ever pulled for besides Dale Sr.
Thongs change scent from one end to the other. Knowledge is power. God bless
It really sucks a voice like Kevin is not too far from leaving the sport. Not sure who or anyone could fill his shoes on being honest and transparent about the sport. He loves NASCAR but that’s what makes him willing to call them out. Not many people with the backbone to do that left. Here’s the the real ones like Kevin, and not the spineless and non-personality drivers of today
Kevin will be around even after retires from driving
The people who write the checks to support the teams dont want to sponsor teams with drivers who arent polished and nice. Bad hombres may excite fans but not corporate Murica
@@bobbafett1849 I think we’ve moved past that. Especially since most sponsors are B2B now. I think what is mostly causing lack of personalities now are the guys that have grown up racing since they were 6 years old. They don’t have a personality because they never needed one. They never had to grind or struggle. Jumping in a cup car is the same as them jumping in their go cart when they were 10. Kevin came up the hard way and a lot of passion stems from that. Our best personalities are all guys like that. Kyle Busch, Chastain, Larson
Hey Jon this is Jeff Yoder the ol'broke down scooter tramp (exbiker) and I pretty much agree with your comments about Harvick and he's earned the respect that most of the drivers give him and the fact that he dared to take on the Nascar front office and that's the kind of veteran move that has earned him that respect
Kevin has been the driver who I choose to watch and cheer for this interview proves I made a good choice besides his ability behind the wheel
I hope he beats the Jeff Gordon Ironman Record. Fits Harvick.
Yea I doubt there is many people that could've replaced Dale Earnhardt and be that good and still be around. Harvick is special and I hate to see him go too. I hated to see em all go when they retired I been watching racing since the early 90s
Kevin is awesome!!
Was that coy Gibbs leaning against the wall with the hat and sunglasses on?
Yes and then he was suspended in Martinsville 2002 but he never got his 2nd suspension for spun out Jeff Green in Richmond 2003.
So it sounds like there is at least some hope that he isn't retiring next year. I'll take it
Yea Kevin has grown up a huge amount but age and kids will do that.
He is the smartest driver in NASCAR. He is my #1.
When does nascar electric start.
2050
Please get better audio.
A Jeff Gordon he will never be
We need Harvick Jimmie Gordon.
He would be very close to the ironman record already but remember he got suspended for the 2002 spring race at Martinsville for dumping a guy in the truck race the day before.
But he never got his another suspension for spun out Jeff Green in Richmond 2003.
Coincidentally, the driver Harvick had a conflict with in the 2002 truck race was Coy Gibbs.
1:13 I get the strange feeling that he's being facetious ( sarcastic). And rightfully so. I'm no Harvick fan, but he's right and I'll be rooting for him to get the change Nascar needs (PR related stuff, safety stuff, and car reliability).
In my opinion (been watching nascar and 1988), nascar needs to completely overhaul the rules and racing formats. It's gotten really bad. The racing quality is not even close to early 90s early 00s. The cars were powerful, it took a real hoss to get those cars going around the track. I'm not saying go backwards on safety, but at least compensate for it. Make the cars heavier, make the drivers have to lift (and brake on larger tracks) in the turns, make tires that only last a fifth or fourth (25% or 20%) which will require crews to pit for tires more. Also, create a rule that states that under the stage caution, cars can only get rights or lefts and 1 can of fuel, otherwise they must pit under green for the rest. If they break the rule, they lose a lap.
Here's a fun one that I just made up, so I'm not at all being serious. Make 3 finish lines on the front stretch. The middle one (the main, original line) would be for the start and restarts. During the race, up to 25 laps to go, the fans would vote online on which finish line to use, and the drivers and teams wouldn't know which line won. So, if they have a race to the checkered flag, then it would be revealed on TV 10 seconds before they get there. Not too sure that exact plan would work, but something similar might. Just spit balling...
Master wants to get the safety stuff right to begin with and they said changes had been made in testing even few years ago after Byron's crash. NASCAR wasn't expecting your normal hits to the wall to be an issue with the new car. They focused on like Newman's crash with the development of the new car. NASCAR this year after listening to drivers plus data started testing and what not of changes for next year and that was before Kurt's concussion that they started
Who knew Harvick had fangs?
"I just want to win" was my favorite part of this video. I love harvick. He is the reincarnated Dale Earnhardt to me. He and dale jr. took over the next group of men in nascar.
Talk about a rambler
Favourite word in NASCAR is Champion🍟 too many 🍟 in the final weeks of TV coverage.
Thanx happy hell of a driver.
I actually thought he had the iron man record.
He will
We have seen Dale Earnhardts pass in the grass and we have seen Ross Chastains pass on the wall. We have never seen another pass in the grass, will we ever see a pass on the wall again? I don't think so.
Sr never passed anyone in the grass !!
@@genemaverick5705 1987 Charlotte Speedway,
@@johnnyturner8514 that wasn’t a pass !!
@@genemaverick5705 what ever you say, that's what all of nascar says.
@@genemaverick5705 oh yeah, I watched it on TV and yeah it was a pass.

I still believe next season will be his last . I hope he goes to the booth and replaces Jeff Burton nice guy but his voice annoys me.
YES!
Can't be much worse than Jr's nasally voice! Him and Burton are HORRIBLE in the booth!
@@wilmafingerdoo2690 jrs voice is horrible but he brings in a lot of energy
Me too
I guarantee he would feel or say it differently if it was Cole Custer asking him out of the opportunity to go for the championship !!!
WTF is he talking about lol. Rambled nonsense
Somebody didn't record from the start of the question he was being asked most likely
@@johnhaas2523 I assume so. It came together after the next question was asked but I was very confused to start
He's doing an awful lot of dancing around the questions on the next generation car!!! Word salad!! Nothing definitive!! He ought to know about Ty's attitude, he used to be just like him!! I will admit, Kevin has mellowed with age, tho.
As far as Ross goes , I recall when All the driver's complained about Earnhardt Sr and his bump and run . Now everybody does it . I've watched you " keven " routinely take short cuts across the infield if there's not a double yellow line . NASCAR needs excitement now that they don't support the best drivers anymore . Choose a driver a bend the rules so they can win is limited on how much excitement it can generate . Fans cheer the officials now days , not the drivers LoL . OH , did you see them spot that trash at the perfect time " AWESOME " !!!!! Tell kenslouski to stay on the track when everybody pits , I'm going to Call a caution , because I have to pee and he will come out the leader .
Next gen car is a turd
He will never catch Jeff Gordon !!!
Basically Harvick is talking out of his ass!
Going to be a huge void to fill when Kevin calls it quits. The future of nascar looks a little dim after that. There is just nobody to step up and speak out. Nobody wants to step on toes or hurt the wrong feelings. Wokeness will be the end of nascar.
Hay where can I get wheels like nascar for my street car?? Asking for a friend.... I will wait to hear back from you geniuses.
What the f*** does it matter. If you did f****** educated you would understand why they have the wheels they have. Where can you get a 15-in steel wheel 5 lug nut wheel for a 2022 Ford mustang?
does anyony really watch this crap, or even care who wins anymore?
The chase killed the sport really.
ChampionCHIPS mean sht nowadays.
Harvick a 4 time straight up points champion
