Some many years back I nearly collided with the Bristol Queen in Totterdown Basin and upon reaching the harbour turned up St Augustine's reach realising that I would have to turn round. Easy for an experienced skipper, but I wasn't! I did perform a perfect turn and realised I had a considerable audience when I received a round of applause!

Great video, do you have any more, particularly the route from Bradford to Bath?

      Hi Ron
I only really started videoing when we went out of Bath. Sorry. The only footage of Bradford to Bath is on “Ten months on the Kennet and Avon”
It is a lovely stretch of the canal particularly Avoncliff and Dundas aqua ducts
      Thanks for watching

Great video, but a couple of points.
Keynsham, named after Saint Keyna, who drove all the snakes out of the area. The spelling of the town was made famous by Horace Batchelor who had what he advertised on Radio Luxembourg as a winning method on the football pools. At the end is the correct spelling (KEYNSHAM)

Also, Frys original factory was in Bristol and the company moved to Keynsham and their new factory. The company had already undergone a financial merger with Cadbury's in 1919. Not Victorian, the construction started in 1924 and was completed in 1935.
