"Friendship is born at the moment you say, 'You too! I thought I was the only one.'" - C.S. Lewis . This is the perfect example, haha
omagosh yest! I meet another homeschooler, and we're suddenly friends! :)
I had no idea that was an actual quote!
C. S. Lewis just never stops giving us great quotes, lol
I'm a cat person dude. (I like dogs too, but my experience with them is limited).
Sapphire Rose , I'm not quite sure about that.
Isn't it great when you find a fellow homeschooler in a place full of wild public schoolers?
Yes, definitely. It really feels like there is an instant connection somehow
Faith Neufville Like at church youth group? Maybe they should add that to their repertoire of church youth group videos 😂
Faith Neufville oh yeah!
Oh, yes, us wild, heathen public schoolers ;)
Alydia Rackham I wasn't using the word wild to describe public schooler as a whole. I know quite a lot of people who are public schooled who are extremely nice. I was using the word wild to describe certain public schoolers that I was once around who all went to the same school and were quite obviously not Christians. If you were offended in any way by my comment, then there was not need. If not, then coolios!
A former homeschooler is like a former Marine; there is no such thing.
So true
The truth has been spoken
I’m a homeschool drop out...
Forever a home-schooler and proud of it! :D
Nao that is a true statement. See what I did there? Nao robot! Haha
When my brother was in college, his dorm's floor found out there was a homeschooler on the floor and they thought that this really awkward dude was the homeschooler, but it was really my brother and they were all really surprised.
Alice your brother wins 🎉 congratulate him for me!
Alice when I met my husband he said he was homeschooled. I was a little turned off. Ok a lot turned off. I wondered how he had ever made any friends - he took me to a party that night and I was floored. He had more friends And better quality than I had. To this day I’ll never forget that moment. Our three kids are now homeschooled ♥️
That's the best kind of burn there is!
"Except that you have a better job than them" ooooh! Buuuurn!
YES. That unspoken fellow homeschooler bond 🙌🏼🙌🏼
As a former home school mom Im so glad to see a "poor unscocialized" home schooled kid so articulate, creative & making great use of technology.
Kitty Clark I was “home schooled” in the 80s. I have three college degrees plus s black belt in karate and run my own business. Any questions??? 😂
SHUTTHE HELL UP KITTY CLARK NOBODY LIKES U,.
Matthias you must be a public schooler 🥴
no - he's really quite annoying with his holier than thou attitude. He would have been eaten alive in public school
exactly, not going to school doesnt mean you cant have ur kid to attend other social activities during the week
You forgot 90's homeschoolers now have their own kids. Second generation homeschool here.
Nice! That's wassup!!!!💕
Which means we have no friends:) rip my life
Oh yes, and now with corona virus... no friends level 2
I am proud to be one of those second generation homeschoolers.
there should be a 2nd genaration homeschool group
I am 37 years old. I was homeschooled. I excelled in college because I was experienced at being a self starter due to being homeschooled.
Noice. I'm excited to see 'how smart I am compared to the other kids' when I'm going from September...
"Blah di di blah" Way to keep this channel G-rated.😂
No one knows what that is
It means to discuss Nickolodian
Yeah....
So this is what I have to look forward to... Cool!
Mason M. I see you top comment everywhere. Ha ha!
Mason M. You sir are a pro commenter please instruct me Sensei.
Mason M.
Yeah me too lol. I'm 12 right now.
Strength and Song - Piss off.
You famous (Asian accent)
When you aren’t homeschooled but still watch these kinds of videos.
Heh.
I'm not homeschooled but I have a bunch of friends who are
Im homeschooled and barley watch these kind of videos. Lol
I'm not homeschooled but my little sister is haha
We'll give you an honorary homeschoolership just for watching Blimey Cow homeschool videos
Katherine Bellendir XD
When someone asks what school I went to I tell them that I went to best school anywhere, then enjoy watching them guess every school within 30 miles before I tell them I was homeschooled ☺
Ben Circo I should start saying that! 😅
LOL, I like to tell people that I go to an elite academy where only people from a prestigious bloodline can attend.
Emma Nelson love it!
Ben Circo that is cruel
You're my spirit animal
My whole household is homeschooling mom +dad+ 3 kiddos = brilliant family 💎
my family too 8 kids the oldest 17 and the youngest 6 weeks
Hey people who are still homeschooled like me because I'm 17
I wish I was still homeschooled! But who knows, I might go back to it after this first year of high school. It all depends on certain things
Hello fellow homeschooler let's discuss our Nickelodeon lacking childhood 😂
I am to a lonely homeschooler who has never watched Nickelodeon :'(
Nissi Hires Hey I am also homeschooled and 17!
I'm homeschooled and 16
These past episodes have really been great, very impressed to see the step up in quality! Feels like you guys are having a lot of fun making these!
Hey, I had no clue you were homeschooled I am too. PS I'm subbed to you.
whoa hi Chipio
My older sister who's 20 and in college says she never tells anyone that she was homeschooled because then they'll think she's weird, but I don't really get it.
These days, there are so many different schooling options other then public/private schools (online schooling, charter schools, homeschooling, etc.)
that no one bats an eye if I tell them I'm homeschooled. Usually they'll ask me if I like being homeschooled and leave it at that.
I hope I won't turn into someone who is embarrassed because they're homeschooled. My dad has done a good job of teaching me, no shame in that.
No shame in having homeschooled. If it came up, I'd gladly tell I was. In college it was fun to meet others that had been homeschooled too.
Yea... I don’t get it either. I usually don’t tell people at college that I’m homeschooled until I’ve been in their class for a couple weeks, I love to see the shock on their faces! Nothing is as cool as proving someone with a stereotype about homeschoolers wrong!
I am in no way embarrassed about it though, I’m proud to be homeschooled!
Probably about a quarter of the students I talk to at my college are homeschooled
When I tell people I was homeschooled they seem intrigued like I am exotic or something
When you're free to binge watch everything you weren't allowed to watch while growing up homeschooled, only to find out you missed absolutely nothing. Yes, so true. Okay, with the exception of Gilmore Girls.
See, this isn't quite accurate. As an adult, watching those shows you missed, you may think "well this wasn't a big deal; why did everyone like it?" - but that attitude is almost certainly a result of the fact that you're viewing it through the lens of an adult and not a kid. It's not the same - that moment came and went. A large portion of enjoying a show/movie franchise as a kid, while it's still "current", is the enjoyment that comes from discussing it alongside your peers. It's a like a ritual, a fond childhood memory to reminisce years down the road. Not the same as an adult.
@@dappidy3763 It is not raunchy. It is mostly about a mother-daughter relation with each other, the grandparents, and the town. There are some boyfriends, kissing, and maybe like three blahdidiblah scenes, but they don't actually show anything so it is fairly safe to watch. I watched it in my early twenties and really enjoyed it. Oh and btw the show starts when the daughter is like 14, she doesn't blah until like 17 or so, so safe for the first few seasons I believe. I thought it a good show.
Gilmore girls it’s boring
Love the Gilmore Girls!
@Tiffany Wright just don't watch after season 5. Rory becomes more "active" after that.
*Nods at everything in the video*
Graise langhime *nods at this comment*
Katherine Bellendir *nods at this reply*
*is dizzy from so much nodding*
How many homeschoolers are hiding in the comments?
This is a homeschooler channel, I think it's obvious.
Obviously i don't hide
Yours Truly, Chris He relied to me again!! Wait... for some reason I didn't realize that you're home schooled. Cool!
Homeschooler. And, I'm currently homeschooling my kids. :)
I am a homeschooler and proud of it!!!
I’m in high school and I don’t like telling people I’m homeschooled because as soon as i do i can just feel the judgement that was not there beforehand
Instant BFFs forever. Instant best friends forever forever.
Hahaha! Good catch!
Growing up, I wasn’t allowed to watch Nickelodeon either and can totally relate to the awkward moments in this video. Not homeschooled, just sheltered. Ended up watching a lot of cooking shows and HGTV, the benefits of which I’m only now starting to appreciate. I’ve also had people, upon learning of this, attempt to “educate” me, which of course is super fun :-/
I think it’s dumb you couldn’t watch any Nickelodeon
@@MelB868 I too didn't watch Nickelodeon, and looking back don't really see what I was missing. If other people like it, fine, I just don't find it entertaining.
Most reactions I get when I tell someone I was home schooled are positive; usually the person says they wish they were home schooled or they want to home school their kids. They also ask questions about what curriculum was used and how the typical school day went, seeming genuinely interested. It's not that bad a thing to admit.
theimprobableone
Well, usually it's hard to tell other kids. Because they automatically assume that you possess no social skills and you are either super weird or super stuck-up. And a lot of people who don't support homeschooling demand for you to prove that you are getting a proper education by asking things like, "How many hours of school do you do?! What subjects?! I bet you're going to fall SOOO behind in life because you're unsocialized and isolated!!!"
Which isn't the case at all. Of course, there ARE people who are awkward homeschoolers, but there are awkward public schoolers, too! Don't judge me because I occasionally do my schoolwork in pajamas!!!
Caelan Jolley
Haha! I just moved out of California. Which area did you live in?
Caelan Jolley
That's neat! I lived in the Central Valley, near Modesto.
but? like do colleges like homeschool or like a nice highschool?
Solunastra
I have no idea, but both my homeschooled older siblings got into a fairly good college (BYU Utah)
My Mama wouldn't let me watch Sponge Bob because she thinks it's so stupid that it actually kills your brain cells as you watch it. Now that I've graduated homeschool and have seen parts of the show, I couldn't agree with her more.
Hillary Boyd
Yeah, that's how I always thought. Even back then! XD
I wasn't homeschooled but my mom was selective. I thought that show was mindless and overrated too.
Spongebob doesn’t kill your brain cells I mean Patrick is a star fish in real life they can’t do that much
Every homeschooler I've ever met is well adjusted and most are brilliant and /or people unafraid to be individualists. By the way, I was not homeschooled and I didn't homeschool my kids - wish I had.
Who here is glad they never blahbleblahed before marriage?!
Wow you actually put a spelling on that. Impressive
me
Me!
It's a gift you give yourself... if possible.
❤️
I am public schooled and a homeschooled kid is one of my best friends
When homeschoolers grow up they make jokes about avocados and Millenials. 🥑
Did you notice the avocado throne cameo at 0:20?
DANIEL!!!! Lol I knew I would find you somewhere here XD
The lovely counter culture
All of them??
If Jordan turned that ending remix into a music video I would totally buy it.
American Doughnut Wizard I definitely would too
Haha! Homeschool graduate now 31 and homeschooling my 7 & 8 year old kids. Being a parent I can just continue being a part of that crazy homeschool family...but now I get to pick the books and give out orders and give that dreaded speech "You know, if you think mommy makes school too hard then you can just get on the bus at 7:30 with all the other kids and not come home until 2:30!" Ah....Greatest thing ever :)
I like that speech! I'm totally going to use that when my time comes in a decade or so (not married yet and no plans for kids in the near future)
I disagree with homeschooling they never learn to socialize or make friends
@@MelB868 if they only stay locked in their rooms, then sure. However, if the parents involve their kids with other people and activities outside of the home, socializing and friends are not an issue. Side note, public school kids can also end up under socialized and without friends.
@@MelB868 That's not true, if it's done right. Homeschoolers actually have more freedom to socialize in positive ways and develop meaningful, quality friendships than public schoolers.
Haha i just used that speech on my 6yr old. His face was like 😧
4:39
I guess Kelli doesn’t *know* what they’re talking about...
Scandalous😂
In a biblical sense. 😮
Mason M. 😂😂😂
Mason M. lol
What does it mean??
Why try to hide it? Everyone talks about being unique and individual, but homeschoolers actually are. Own it 🙌🏼
Best to avoid stereotyping
I’ve been in and out of homeschooling, but this is sooo true! Plus I always had a really protective Mom, so most of the shows I watched from when I was born to around age 8-11, were on Nick Jr., Playhouse Disney, And PBS Kids (when it was actually good). So I can’t really talk about shows like That’s So Raven or Wizards of Waverly Place, because I never watched them. But honestly, I didn’t and still don’t care, because now I connect more with people who watch the same shows that I do (mostly cartoons and animation CZcamsrs).
Never seen more than 3 minutes of Wizard Of Waverly Place parents didnt let us do magic.
Ah, yes... See, Playhouse Disney was good, then it became Disney Jr. and is trash.
Same. Growing up, my siblings and I couldn't watch watch anything that involved magic. Now that we're older and not homeschooled anymore our mom is much more relaxed. We even watched a little bit of Supernatural at one point.
TheMightyPancake I was home-educated as a kid too and also had a protective Mum who only let me watch "little kids'" shows (on the British channel CBeebies). It was so hard having to explain this to the other children who didn't understand why I didn't watch the same shows they did. I am so glad that you had the same experience! I've spent a lot of my adulthood watching the good shows I never saw as a kid, haha, and I sometimes wonder what I would have made of them had I watched them back when I was about nine.
Kenzie C My Mum wouldn't let me watch Harry Potter as a kid, but when I was fourteen we both sat and watched all the films together. I think by that time I was ready for them.
Yay!!! I love you guys! I love being homeschooled, so many privileges😃😃 God is good❤️😄
amen!
Amen!!!
@Jack Schitt hope you change how you think soon. Be blessed
I totally need to use that on a public-schooler!!
"You just spent the last five seconds talking to one!"
This video is just purely awesome! :)
Public school kids say, "Homeschool kids are wierd!"
Homeschool kids say, "Public school kids are strange. It's really hard to even have a conversation with them."
Public school teachers say to homeschool parents, "How do you feel adequate?"
Homeschool parents ask 18 year old, "What do you think of your education, now that you have finished?"
18 year old answers: "Well, with what you have taught me, and how you have taught me; the only thing I can't do is whatever I don't want to do."
Homeschool parents wonder how many public school students say that to their public school teachers at graduation.
Homeschool parents feel humbled and blessed to have been a part of their child's process of learning how to learn, the real goal of true education.
GOOD FOR YOU GOD INTENDED FOR THE MOTHER TO BE THE TEACHER, WELL ROUNDED PRAISE GOD YOU WERE EXTREAMLY BLESSED TO HAVE MISSED THE MESS OF PUBLIC JESUIT TRAINED SCHOOL GOD CAN USE YOU😚😚
My son is 8 and has been homeschooled since 1st grade. He didn’t like public school and was bored with class. The other children were behind his level, not to mention on his first day of kindergarten an angry young child punched him in the stomach and the teacher said,” oh, that student has problems.” No corrective action. We got through kindergarten alright and he started homeschooling with tutorial classes in 1st grade. He hasn’t had to slow down to let other kids catch up and he is happy as a lark.
Its a great quote, though in adult life we must learn to do things we dont want to, in order to be responsible for our mistakes and make correct to consequences.
@@katrienbailey941 Just to clarify his meaning, he meant that he has been given the tools that he needs to be successful, and that he can choose his own path with confidence that he will enjoy that path.
He went on to teach himself computers, Spanish, and business management. He owns one business, half owns another, and manages several aspects of our business.
His statement was not that of a spoiled brat who does not want to work to support himself, like so many young people today, but rather that of a confident young man, ready and able to address the problems of life.
Many women want to homeschool their kids because it gives them an excuse not to work.
PLEASE DON'T STOP THIS SKIT STYLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish I was homeschooled. Believe me, my future children will be.
Dominant Seth I was homeschooled. I wouldn’t put them through it all. They’ll need TONS of space and they’ll most likely not do their work so then you’ll have to hound them on it and they’ll hate you....
So don’t 😂
Dominant Seth omg sameeee
Homeschooling is excellent. 10/10 would recommend.
Jason Streetpunk, I’m homeschooled and I’m not a “social retard” and the HOMESCHOOLED people I know aren’t, either
Mr Sloth my experience was toxic and it caused neglect.
I’m just saying that don’t homeschool your kids if you can’t handle the work in teaching them.
Especially don’t homeschool your kids if you are part time working because it leads to even more neglect.
Going into public school was tough because I literally was too stupid to do shit.
I failed most of my classes so over the summer, I had to learn everything I should have learned in middle school to keep my grades manageable. It was terrible.
That’s why I really don’t recommend homeschooling. It’s easier and more beneficial for kids (without a learning disability for the most part) to be in public school. IMO
I used to tell everyone I went to a private school 😂
*REKT*
What does it mean?
It's the internet spelling/meme version of Wrecked such as in "you just got wrecked". Translation: "You were just beaten by some awesome thing"
Now I have to explain blah-diddy-blah to my kids 😮 😋
I still like people to know I was homeschooled I'm go to be that person who always make sure people know I'm different 😂😂
I want to like this more than once because it's perfection. I know so few adults that were homeschooled, but I love it when I do stumble across one.
Yeah, I'm loving this new direction you guys are going! This is great!
Captain Cheesecake me too! It's super well done and creative :D
"IS THIS WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE BUZZED?" Ohmyword. XD This was one of your best videos, guys! Also, Jordan's dancing was the best 30 seconds of my life. Bless.
Love this! We weren't homeschooled so we love meeting and seeing "grown homeschoolers" if you will and seeing how they turned out...my kids will do great.
Petition for the remix at the end to be made into a full song? 😍😂
YES
Aimee - Yes please!
Yaaaassss!!!!!
Yes!
I LOVE YOUR PROFILE PIC HI FREN
3:07 - My first response at watching Harry Potter.
Then when my sister became old enough to watch it, I watched it again, and have learned to appreciate it.
My reaction to it. Meh.
I was shocked upon first watching Potter to find he had been Hobbitted....anyone who has watched the Hobbit movies will immediately grasp the strength of my analogy and perceive that everything evil about Potter got bowdlerized by filming. Ergo, the movies are safe to watch for homeschoolers but not the books to read.
When The first shall be last never gets old...
Yours Truly, Chris
LET IT LIVE FOREVER
Amen. 🙏🏾
IT SHALL NEVER DIE! _NEVER!_
Seen this post a million times or less... Still don't get it.
Oh, it's gotten old....
New b roll footage is a very excellent touch. Love you guys
I used to be on the other side of this argument but I'm proud to say I've decided to homeschool my son. I really appreciate this channel now!
This accurately sums up the homeschool experience.
I’ve actually thought that about kombucha.
What about kombucha? 0:20 oh I missed it. 0-0 Wow that's so relatable right now!
Hahaha! Me too.
This video made me so happy! 😁 thanks you guys!
I always appreciate you guys and the videos you put up. Thanks for letting us know that we're not alone! :)
This is so great! I'm a homeschooler on the brink of adulthood, so I'm seeing all this come true! When I first got my ipod (or iPhone, I don't remember), I found and watched the entire series of Hannah Montana, since I wasn't allowed to watch it when I was a younger. I was still a young teen though, and felt pretty guilty. I was pretty bad. You know, #rebel
Anne Luhmann Oh gosh, that's so funny! 😅 I've never seen Hannah Montana (let alone as a kid!), though I doubt I missed much.
I’m glad that binge watching is my guilt not being a bad inappropriate public schooler
I lives that show when I was younger! Homeschooler btw
Why wouldn’t you be allowed to watch Hannah Montana what’s wrong with it there’s not any bad words or anything
😂😂😂 That's awesome.
This video was very reminiscent of your older vids... love it!
Really cool skits in this one, good job on changing things up guys
You guys have WAY upped the quality of your videos recently!! Great job!!
I have an excuse for the whole cartoon network/Nickelodeon thing because we didn't have cable growing up. And that was a money choice, not a limited entertainment choice. I've actually met a lot of people, non-homeschoolers, who have said the same thing. So don't fear!
Tally Jones My sister and I didn't have a lot of channels on our TV either, so I understand! We mostly watched CBeebies as children and Doctor Who/The Sarah Jane Adventures as tweens.
Some of those cartoon networks shows are evil. I told my niece turn that channel that’s not good when her dad left she turned it there again I said your sister and I won’t stay in the room with you watching that she turned it to spongebob I said that’s better we will stay for spongebob the other show I forgot what it was I think teen titans it was a demonic cartoon
Woooow. Staying up pays off.
Themajesticmoose Living on the West Coast pays off 😂
;)
I Enjoy watching your videos alot. I was also homeschooled and raised in a christian home. there are alot of people that dont see things the way that I do, so I appreciate your videos and beliefs.
I absolutely love what you guys have done with the editing on this video
I always feel a connection with someone when they say they're homeschooled. But it instantly goes away when they say "but I'm not one of those weird homeschoolers"
Bs home schooling IS THE BEST.. Do NOT ALLOW THE ENEMY TO TEACH YOUR CHILD. 💜
100% AGREED
Fuck u
Who is the enemy, pray tell?
Enemy?
T mo the ones trying to indoctrinate our children. Look into common core. Womb to work. It’s nefarious.
I was homeschooled up until I was in middle school, really I hated it, but it may have been the best thing that happened to me, I wasn't always at home with my brother and sister ALL the time, and I made friends that aren't flaky
I'm loving the special effects and skits that take place away from the black wall!
I totally relate... but I'm kinda distracted about how creeped out I am by the fact that I have the same star wars poster that was on the wall in this video...😐 Sometimes homeschoolers relate in really weird ways.
This is so good. I love the skits mixed in!
Loving these new style of videos! The writing for the last several episodes has been fabulous also!
Love your guy's new format!! Keep it up peeps!! :)
Is that dance homeschool approved??
Sarah W * puts on devil repellent mask * no
Sarah W You ignorant piece of blop of course it is homeschool approved its weird aa burnidyburn
Love the changes to Blimey Cow. Oh yeah, and I still don't know what Pokemon really is....
I love how you guys are combining the really old blimey cow skits with messy Monday's....it's awesome!!
Your latest episodes have been amazing
I love the new skit style
Jagerclaw - yess
This early and I don’t even have notifications... apparently I don’t have a life either
Bruh, you guys have really stepped it up. Your videos have always been great, but I echo some of the same sentiments as others in saying the quality has gotten much better. Even in little things like the lighting in the outdoor scene. Keep it up, guys!
I like this new style! Keep it up guys!
I am proud to be a homeschooler!
One of my classmates was like, "David was homeschooled?! What?!" *long pensive pause* "oh ok I can see that now." Still wondering what blew my cover.
One of Blimey Cow's finest! I loved this episode! It was exactly what I needed today. :) I really like how you guys are filming some scenes in other locations.
Lol I relate so much. Now I'm in college, and I feel so proud when people are surprised to learn I was homeschooled. Also, it's really awesome meeting people who were homeschooled.
I love blimey cow!!!!
Same! :D
Any homeschoolers here graduating and having to start doing "adult" things??? cuz same!!!🙋😬😫
Megan Jane
Here, my fellow home student! And it's weird!!
When you said about homeschooling was your identity growing up, it's really true! I struggled with that until I was about 21 but it gets easier the older you get!
This is one of the best, most relatable videos you've made.... I just kept nodding my head and laughing. :)
How long have you had that Awana vest? Hahahah
I was home-schooled and I was allowed to watch Rugrats. WHERE IS MY REPRESENTATION!?!!?! I DEMAND THAT YOU REPRESENT EVERY POSSIBLE SITUATION IN YOUR SIX MINUTE VIDEOS!!!!!
I AM your representation, @BlueOrco.
I was allowed to watch Rugrats too! I don’t see why it’s that bad... it’s just a bunch of babies playing around.
Your videos are the reason I get on CZcams! ❤️😋 I was homeschooled for High School...now I’m almost done with college and a 21 year old Teacher!
Blimeycow, I've really enjoyed your videos so much because it's so hard to find anything home-school related on youtube! Keep doing what you do! God Bless! :)
Went to school and was told I would be a no one I’m now in college and passed my exams :)
Please bring back messyges!!!! I miss them😭
I just full on tell people my parents didn't have a TV, and still don't. Reactions are so fun to watch.
I LOVE the little "inside their brain" tidbits. Great addition. It's fun seeing the new take on MM sketches.
Hair on point Jordan!
"Let me show you a little video...." I do the exact same thing.... hehehe
I love the changes in the filming!
I love all your home school videos! I'm a home-schooler who's fast approaching adult-hood...
