  • Testimonies of other converts have always interested me and inspired me especially through my journey home. Though I've come home, I know it's only the beginning. The Lord has work for me to do. I hope my experience will be of help or even inspiration to some of you.
Tell me about your conversion story! How was your journey to the Catholic faith? Are you in the process of converting? Are you thinking of converting? Are you a cradle Catholic going through a reversion? Leave a comment below and tell me all about it.

I was too born Catholic, raised as a Mormon, became an atheist for 16 years, and converted to Catholic church back 4 years ago. We have very similar paths. God bless you.

I also was baptised Catholic as a baby, raised as a Jehovah’$ Witness for 16 years, left religion I thought for good, then when I turned 40, went a faith journey that took me back to Christ and the church He established….full circle to the Catholic Church. God bless.

A beautiful and sincere witness. Thank you Alexis. Personally I was raised Catholic but although my faith has always been strong, my understanding of it stagnated during my teenage years. I practised regularly still but under the misunderstandings created by the 'new Pentecost' that condones us in our sin or avoids addressing it altogether so I was really a bad Catholic. (Sinned much but loved much). I had my wake-up call from the Lord to get serious about 7 years ago. Like you the path we take is necessary and makes us the Catholics we become. The Lord is a gentle and loving master. You're so right to mention the reading: learning is one of the keys to growing in faith.

I went astray for a long time from catholic faith after I got separated from my ex wife for almost 12 years now. After so many struggles and trials in life, Now I'm back and I get to know more and more about Mother Mary I'm kind of devoted with Mother of Perpetual Help ask her prayer and intercession to Our Lord Jesus and the Father. Now I can say I'm a proud Catholic and things are getting better at least for me spiritually. I'm kind resilient now when it comes temptations and struggles in life!💖 🙏

I am a revert to the faith. I fell away in college and had a "born again" experience and within that year was introduced to Mormonism. I almost converted but couldn't over the doctrine of progression to godhood. I was devastated that I had all these feelings and was wrong. Became an atheist and dabbled in lots of things. I came back to faith in my late 20s and have spent many years back and forth in the Church and protestant churches. There are things I struggle with still but have been attending Mass and active in my local parish for a few years now. Even though I struggle, the idea of Jesus leaving a visible church (and the history that supports that) makes sense. I know God is faithful and will continue to help me work those struggles out!

Welcome home to the faith! I’m a revert but was Protestant for many years. Looking back on my walk,as a Protestant I felt I was never encouraged to find out more about our Lord, except that which my Pastor’s wanted me to know and that was their opinion or interpretation of the Bible which was not always correct! As a Catholic I am encouraged to always seek truth which the more I learn the more I draw closer to our Lord! I love our faith. It is beautiful and very deep! And come to think about it, looking back on my days as a Protestant I do feel strongly one good reason many of those faiths preach Sola Scriptura, is they don’t want you to find Truth, that we have in Catholicism! 😜 because we have 2,000 years of knowledge and they don’t! We have accounts and we were taught by those who lived during the time of Jesus and they don’t! 😊 Our faith was founded by the Divine and their faiths were founded by a man or woman! 😜 Huge difference! Ty for your story! 🙏

Thank you for your inspiring story. It makes total sense when you are someone who was pulled into the Catholic Church. I’d been a Catholic before, an atheist twice, and a Christian for a time. My reversion 3yrs ago back to the Catholic church was the last place I would have chosen. I was pulled in a moment powerfully by grace and never looked back. So happy to be here praying for our church. Happy to hear about your “call” as well.

51 years ago fell in love with my future wife and in order to see her on Sundays I decided to attend mass with her. Growing Anglican the differences in liturgy on the surface seemed minor but for me the mass, preaching the Priest was real and remains real 50 years later, do I need a Saviour of yes, I am a sinner yes does the apostolic church once studied draw you closer to God yes, thank you for sharing Doug

I’m a former Jehovah’s Witness, atheist for 8 years and then for the last 2 years I’ve been on a faith based journey. Everything is pointing me to Catholicism. I’m nervous and excited about everything I’m learning.

Thank you for sharing such a powerful and honest testimony. I was born in Mexico and my wife in the Phillipines. We met and married in the USA, where we live. We both went to Catholic Church in our early years. Once together, We were not practicing the faith 100% until I hit rock bottom and decided to "give a chance" to the Church to straightening me up. She did and now we are both devout practicing Catholics. Blessings from Azusa, Ca.

Oh my goodness…I have so many questions!! I was raised Mormon, left and was atheist for several years, and now I’m checking out the Catholic Church and I’m increasingly drawn to it. But I have so many emotions and thoughts!
